It's a no brainer when you see big industry names coming in support of Sana. I mean who misbehaves with someone superior to them. Her rudeness is very specific, towards those "below" her. It reeks of classisism, exploitation of power and superiority complex. Nothing else. Pathetic excuse of a human. The way she has behaved is REPULSIVE period, there is no margin for ifs and buts

Disappointed with Amna's stance who is usually vocal wen smthng like this happens in dramas and now that it is in real life she is not calling a spade a spade and is condoning it in a way. If Sana had remorse wud she slam a legal notice rather than owning up, that in itslef reeks of arrogance. Does she really think make up artists have 100 million to pay her. Did you watch the full video? She says multiple times that regardless of who is being “badtameez” we can’t control it because it’s not a literal crime rather is just a bad thing to do. She says that the way you interact with people who are “inferior” speaks about your character. She said ONCE in the whole video that there are many men AND some women who act this way but only Sana is getting dragged because she’s been exposed. I honestly don’t think she’s trying to paint this as something sexist because they say multiple times in the video that she’s definitely at fault and whoever acts this way will find it hard to get work in the future. But at the time this video was shot, atleast 6 people have come forth about her bad treatment 2 makeup artists, 2 models, 1 actress, 1 director. Aamna is still asking at 25:00 'kisi ki badtameezi kerne pe aap kya complaint karenge?'. Hassans reply to this was brilliant, he kept rebutting Aamna's bizarre arguments. 19:57 but Amna isn’t it weird that she’s the only actress with complaints? Why would a small makeup artist falsely complain about a huge actress? Why would makeup artists comment about Sana’s features and tell her to get filler etc. and not anybody else. These artists and stylists have all worked with the biggest actresses of our country like Mahira and Ayeza. Why on earth would they jeopardize their own careers by falsely accusing sana of this behaviour? Why would they tell sana to get fillers and not, for example, Mahira or Ayeza? It just doesn’t make sense to me that she could be provoked in all these situations and no other actress was by the same artists. In my opinion it all boils down to a superiority complex and being stuck up. If she doesn’t like something or feels like she’s being ignored she has to speak up and whine about it. I refuse to believe that literally more than 15 people are doing a smear campaign against her to end her career. What do they gain? A few followers? Why choose sana as their victim and nobody else? Doesn’t make sense to me

With due respect, today Amna's views were too biased. This issue is not about gender. The toxic behavior of people like Sana Javed could push someone to suicide. If you are at a position of power and you use that power to throw someone out at the weaker position, it shows that you don't care what financial and emotional repercussions that can have.

@Amna please check your attitude towards this whole issue. You're continuously trivializing SJ's problematic behaviour. Harassment isn't just sexual, having such an attitude towards your juniors and subordinates constitutes a hostile work environment and definitely qualifies as harassment. This is not battamizi. This is conscious targeting. This is sabotaging someone's career.
Right now, when allegations are pouring in, our focus should be on letting them be heard, not trivializing them as battamizi. Let the junior artists have their voices heard, shift your focus please!

Hassan makes complete sense, totally unbiased. It breaks my heart to see aamna be biased and victim shame. I like aamna and it breaks my heart. As a journalist one has to maintain contacts for sure, but please dont marginalize the already marginalized. No provocation should make you a horrible person. Gender doesn't matter. And this reminds me that while hassan is always welcoming to new artists, even if they have minor roles to play or are not big artists, aamna is dismissive of people who are new and faulter. Look at the way you are talking about azikeh and her TH-cam channel. Would you do the same if it was faisal querishi's or mahira khan's TH-cam channel? Not trying to say that hassan is better and you are not. You both are amazing and i live for your content, but a little more sensitivity for victims is nice. Provocation, in this context is just a label to victim shame. Having said this, i reiterate, i respect and adore both of you but it breaks my heart when i see such callous, biased statements. Also, occasional outbursts or bad behavior is fine, but a pattern of horrible behavior is not healthy. A person who selects people for a certain type of behavior is just manipulative. And it is okay if artists are reserved but let us, as a society, stop glorifying arrogance, repeated bad behaviour and verbal diarrhea.

27:33 yes these are bad comparisons because we don’t ever want to undermine the experiences of real sexual and physical harassment and even murder. BUT, you can’t deny that everyone supporting her is a person in power. Half the dramas in Pakistan are made my Fahad Mustafa - why would she misbehave with him? Nadeem baig is an established director and has made masterpieces for the drama industry- why would she misbehave with him? Even Amna is an huge name and her words hold power - she would never misbehave with her. She only misbehaves with people that are “inferior” because she needs work. About other artists also misbehaving, all it takes is one person who has the courage to finally speak up. You have to remember that these models and makeup artists are also in need of work and are way less popular than Sana. If somebody complains, they can potentially jeopardize their career and we actually saw this on Instagram. I forget her name, but a person came forward and said that she had the worst experience of her life with Sana as a new stylist and after that she never styled anybody again. She literally ended her career so of course others are going to be hesitant without any support

Just a little clarification from EU based citizen… Please don’t say that bad behaviour isn’t a crime worldwide because it is. Under EU Whistleblower Protection Directive and its transposition across member states, the « unethical behaviour » is a malpractice and offence.
You would have consequences and high level fines.
If you behaviour would have caused serious damages on someone’s mental health to the extend to lead to a suicide, you would go to jail.
In EU, the moral impact of a wrongdoing, bad behaviour is took really seriously.
And let’s be honest, every single time I visit Pakistan, my heart bleeds witnessing the « diva attitude » of common citizens with maids, people on the road, tailors, taxi drivers, waiters, shop cashiers, poors on the roads etc etc… it’s not just a drama actress issue (which name I didn’t even knew before that issue because I have never tried to know - she is not in the list of reknown for me…)… that issue is nation wide!! She must have been raised that way to misbehave with poors etc…
For those living in Pakistan, become an observer one entire day and look of ALL the people misbehaving around you not having respect for human dignity!! I am telling you I have never seen such extend in any other place in the world than Pakistan (muslim country?! Hummm).
Just have respect for human dignity, about work, my dad used to say there is no small or big work, as far as one person wakes up in the morning, goes out to work, you owe that person respect even that person is cleaning the roads or managing a company… they must be equally treated!! And this is what Allah is expecting from us.

Sana javed's issue could have been a perfect start for all those make up artists and junior artists to come out and name all those rude celebs but only Sana is being targeted. Isn't it obvious there are actors that might be more powerful and way more rude than Sana but won't be called out simply because they are men in power. Sana is rude and she should rightfully be called out for her behaviour but isn't it also true that she is a soft target compared to a male celebrity. Regardless of whether the sexual harassment case against Ali zafar was true or not he still got a lot of support from the general public for an alligation way more severe than being rude and unprofessional on set. This clearly shows the double standards of general public for male and female artists.

    2. When all the celebrities come out supporting her, they all sound very very bewaqoof. Can't u observe she is ridiculing the junior artists which she thinks they are inferior to them.
Lastly, she has done wrong she needs to be called out. But people can do this constructively as well.

Hasan had done his homework, and put forth what were the allegations by both men and women, against Sana Javed! This included actresses who worked with her like Sonia, and azakiel! As a feminist I would never make a mistake to stand by a toxic woman, simply because she is a woman! The inputs by those in power like Farad, Mustafa and Nadeem Baig, basically stands to negate legitimate concerns , and experiences of people without such power pull! This already then becomes a media circus, because its always those with less influence who are trampled upon, and their livelihood threatened! This is a sorry state of affairs that the ice maiden Sana Javed, thinks she can get away with such behaviour as she curries favour amongst the powerful! What lessons are we teaching in terms of people fighting for their rights not to be treated in an abusive or rude manner, and the potential loss of their earnings by this evidently toxic person! This isn’t a case of sexism ,it’s a case of an entitled arrogant actor thinking she can get away with such behaviour as she has influential people on her side and her future career will not be marred, hence she takes the bold step to fill an FIR! That’s how brazen these entitled yet abusive people can be. thanks Hasan for your balanced input on this!

No rudeness doesn't acceptable for male and female especially with whom who are low in power and authority..

I am so glad to see the majority of the people in the comment section are on the same page on this topic. Very disappointed with Aamna and SH on their stance. Stop twisting the topic and making it about men v women. Of course she would be nicer to people with a higher status in the industry. Its about how she treats others below her. Sana's behavior is unjustifiable and is basically bullying and harassment in the workplace, simple as that. Why would people from different levels in the industry come out and risk their jobs in the industry if there wasn't something serious going on? There is clearly a problem there and Sana needs to wholeheartedly apologize for her actions, simple as that.

the bigger names in pakistan coming out in support of sana javed look like an ABSOLUTE JOKE. do they really think the people are silly enough to not connect the dots that sana javed looks down on certain people who haven't made it as far as you have. instead of amplifying the voices of the victims who have spoken out, you choose to tweet your experience, as if you're not one of the leading journalist houses in Pakistan. surely you don't think shell misbehave with you and expect a decent review of her "oh so lovely, naik acting" in aye mushte khaak.
how come any behavior directed at you/ friends needs to dissected and all but when your friend is in the wrong, you play the devil's advocate. not sure if you've realised this but you're enabling a bully. that is how it is.
as for aamna justifying it by saying "it shows what type of person you are, however this is not workplace harassment," you're wrong, work place harassment includes "belittling, condescending, threatening, or malicious remarks or acts aimed at others within a workplace." so what sana does to her co workers is, in fact, workplace harassment.
i think the attitude to approach this as a "men misbehave too" is the WORST stance you can take. men do it too doesn't make it ok, that's the largest issue, two wrongs don't make a right.
sana clearly has a lot of audacity to claim everyone's launched a 'smear campaign' against her. i do not think anyone has got the time or energy to do that to sana javed. she is also not that big of a star like she likes to think. sana javed's acting even, is below mediocre. her acting has 0, ZERO, expressions so where does this lead us?? difference of opinion and harassment allegations are different.
"it was my knee jerk reaction" perhaps you need a better knee jerk reaction. when a victim speaks up you don't rush to amplify the bully's plea. why are you a feminist champion and then forget decent behavior?
'her behavior could be provoked' here's some truth: your behaviour is your responsibility.
anyways, i really hope sana javed has to face repercussions and all those actors yada yada associations do something about it. and i also hope you remember not to be the first ones to accept her apology, which I'm 99% sure wont come out.
oh and just for the record: 28:10 I've personally cancelled sana javed and i do think she deserved to be cancelled. :)

People exposing Sana Javed vs those defending her literally prove the point of those exposing her, that if you're "beneath" her or aren't as famous as her, you don't deserve to be treated like a human being. Only the big names came to her defense. And also very respectfully Aamna, not everything needs to be a feminist issue. If a person, be it a man or woman, are being horrible to other human beings, they need to be called out for it and not be defended just for the sake of their gender. That is not fair.

I've been a long time viewer. I see where both Hassan and Amna are coming from and what they're trying to say. While i do think there was a slight bias towards Sana and that what she's being accused for has nothing to do with gender, this issue is actually much deeper than her. More than the person who's done wrong, it's people in power who enable that behaviour are wrong and need to be called out. The industry in itself needs some sort of revolution or a union to help maintain a standard. There should be accountability and equality in treatment, even if their pay checks are different. First off, don't hire someone who is a known abuser, bully, etc if you have a better choice. Second, if you do hire someone like that, make it so that they can't bully or harass others. Create those limitations for them by how you manage the production. if you're watching out for your stars, you need to watch out for your team too. It's not just one person who makes things happen. There isn't any laws protecting the crew or junior artists, but there should be. Just because someone is earning less, comes from a poor or uninfluencial background doesn't mean they have less value as people.

Aamna, I am a HUGE fan of SH and literally wait for episodes to be uploaded. However, this is a total Faux Pas on your behalf. Workplace harassment and bullying is an actual thing the world over (especially in the West). If I was to behave the way Sana has at my workplace within the UK, I’d be knee deep in shit for it. You need to take stock. There is nothing wrong with having loyalties to “friends” within the industry but you need to be able to call them out for wrong behaviour like you would any other friend (a fundamental in being a “good” friend). Hassan, Kudos to you for your rational and measured approach. Sana’s response is beyond ridiculous and I’m surprised she isn’t embarrassed in front of her husband and other industry friends.

Amna has always been biased towards certain actors including but not limited to justifying Feroze Khan’s choices and never speaking up against his extremist Islamic views. Feminism does not mean that you have to defend every woman for everyone right or wrong. Amna has lost all credibility and respect in my eyes. I will miss Hassan and his witty reviews and hopefully one day he will have a seperate review channel that I can support but I’m unable to support Amna as she is an enabler and due to people like her we are still stuck in a classist society.
