Welcome to Pakistan : My motherland is a country with a rich history and diverse culture. It is home to stunning landscapes such as the Himalayan mountains, the Thar desert, and the beaches along the Arabian Sea. The country also has a vibrant food scene, with delicious dishes like biryani, nihari, and kebabs. It seems that you had a great time in Pakistan. Hopefully, you learnt a lot which will be helpful when you revisit Pakistan next time. Stay blessed.

Joe Pakistan has practically almost zero international tourism. The people there don't see foreigners everyday. So locals started to stare & follow tourists to observe them.
There is way less tourists in Pakistan yeah but we still saw some. We get stared at outside of Europe in a lot of places so it is pretty much a routine yeah.
In 1994 I walked through Lahore in the shalwaar qamiz that I had bought in Quetta. Some young local guys in jeans and leather jackets told me, in a cheerful way, that I looked like an idiot. In hindsight, they were right.
Fun fact: Pakistan has a community in north which consist of people who resemble europeans. They are actually decendants of macedonians who came here along with the army of alexander the great and chose to stay in northern Pakistan because they got tired of wars. But there was already a nomad community living there which was from central asia. When these communities combined, their decendants were called PATHANS who resemble till today like europeans more than asians.
Pathans are an ethnic population of Pakistan and they mostly live in KPK province of Pakistan with Peshawar being its capital. Lissu is wearing a Balochi/Pakhtoon attire while joe is looking like a typical pathan except the hairstyle thats why people thought that you are Pathan. Trust me you missed going there because they are the most hospitable people in Pakistan. That poor guy must have seen a foreigner for the first time in his life and he wanted to save the moment and show people around him that he saw foreigners.
I was wearing a Shapuri style shalwar kameez for a wedding in Lahore and even the receptionist at the Pearl Continental Hotel told me, it looked marvelous on me. So Yes, all people in Pakistan and India appreciate foreigners wearing traditional dresses, while I noticed that Pakistani are even in the cities are dressed more traditionally and in India. Khodahafez & phir milenge!
Sorry to say, I am not agree with you. Actually Hospitality is our tradition and also a beautiful part of our religion. In northern Pakistan, every Pakistani is look like European, blue eyed, green eyed, brown hair etc etc. Every one who is a tourist or guest is like a VIP for us. Best Regards
This is interesting! The dude that followed you also appears in a vlog of the famous TH-camr Peter Santenello (“1st day in Pakistan”). Coincidence in a city of 12.000.000?

You guys were speaking English 😅 no one wouldn't believe you
Yep.
English gave away our cover 😅.
But it was still a fun experience!
Yes you look same to Pathans especially living in tribal areas but they speak pushto not English that's why you were differentiated easily 😊
