To be honest, Iam an Indian and I am also seeing those variety of animals openly on the roads for the first time. The part of India where I live, these things are not common (except cows). Well, India is very different in it's different parts and first impressions can also be different for different people based on where and how they enter it !!!

India is very diverse . Cows may be a common sight in India, but Elephants and Camels are definitely not common in the rest of the country. Also, meat is very much eaten on large parts of India - for e.g. the North Eastern states have their own cuisine which is heavily meat based. In my opinion, one of the reasons why vegetarian is largely preferred is because of its health and nutrition benefits and based on ancient wisdom that modern science is only now discovering.
The ethos of Bhaarat (India) is based on the underlying principle of Sanatan Dharma (referred to as Hinduism) - that all is an expression of one divine consciousness. There fore everything in nature Botha animate and inanimate is an expression of this one consciousness - in various forms. Hence the reverence given to all beings - including animals. This does not mean that all Hindus would be vegetarian- as there are large number of us who eat meat - mostly Chicken/ Lamb/ Goat.
The Cow has since Millenia has been a source of sustenance for the ancient Indian household. That is one of the main reasons which it is treated with such reverence - there are other more nuanced reasons which I will not go into here - but you are welcomed to research it.
In India you will find poop everywhere because Indians don't have toilets they defecate in the streets, in rivers, even in markets, beggars unemployment poverty cheaters that's India the most squalid country in the world

First thing is right that Elephants and camels definitely not common in the rest of country. Secondly true Sanatanis (true hindus) don't eat meat. Who are demons in sanaatan dharma they will eat meat or chicken. North East states mostly are different tribes and not all North eastern people are non- vegetarian. Many are vegetarian. I absolutely love this video but I would like to refer to one thing that you said. You mentioned that "in India, woman's role in society is equal to that of a man's". Well, firstly woman stay at home in Pakistan mostly because of religion (patriarchy is too common in some areas, yes, but its not the main reason) so it's not a separate difference than religion. And just because a woman is staying at home doesn't mean that she is less than a man. A stay at home woman contributes just as much to society as a man does. Even in Pakistan, and other Islamic countries.

Slight correction: There's a common misconception that Hinduism is polytheistic/multiple gods. That's not really true. There are multiple philosophies/sects in Hinduism, including monotheistic, polytheistic, and even atheistic belief systems. But at the very heart of it, the rigveda, talks about Brahman, referring to a singular ever expanding consciousness (can be considered monotheistic).

Never have I seen Beef being sold as "Pashu Irachi" (Cow meat). I'm not sure if meat sellers mix/sell cow meat, but in that case that would be false marketing as it's sold as "Pothirachi" (Buffalo meat"). It doesn't matter whether the sellers sell it that way, but is not named as Cow (Maybe a marketing strategy to not impact their meat sales if it's labelled as cow meat) . Also I know a lot of Kerala Hindus who don't eat beef at all, and many who wouldn't be comfortable to eat it if it's sold as cow meat. I just meant that. But if you do eat and you like it, good for you!. And you may also know people who do, I never said anything against them. I'm all for letting people be the way that they are. Neither promoting Beef/ or any other meat, nor promoting vegetarianism. I do know a lot of Muslims who consume Pork and alcohol, but that doesn't mean that they are comfortable as a society to accept it. The same way with the Hindus.
P. S - I am a Malayali Hindu, who eats Beef.

The differences you describe are interesting, however India is in every respect a diverse and secular country. If you tell something about India, the opposite is also true. I live in Kashmir India, a predominantly Islamic part of India, and although mostly mutton and chicken is eaten here, we also eat beef. Even in Tamil Nadu I have eaten beef. So it's not in all states of India banned to eat beef.

You really shouldn't compare India to Pakistan, after only visiting Amritsar, which is right at the border. You'l be amazed at the diversity, the country has to offer. For instance, I'm a bengali, and we are non vegetarians, so finding meat here in Bengal is quite easy. You mentioned about beef being banned in north india, but should also know that it's eaten in the north east, kerala, Kashmir, and by the minorities in multiple states, including Bengal and southern ones.
