    I reaaaally recommend checking out their previous album, The Color Clear. There are songs as heavy as this, but there are also more melodic and ambient songs. There's a good variety in The Color Clear.

    • @DevinMarkovichMetal
      @DevinMarkovichMetal 4 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      Man... if anyone is here listening, they are probably familiar with The Color Clear! Us die hard Reflections fans have been waiting 4 years. This release was highly anticipated. Also.... this is literally the first new track they have dropped. The Color Clear is an absolutely beautiful album, however I think there will be some melodic sounding songs on the new album! This track is heavy as all fuck. I think it's to catch all of our attention.

    Fun fact most people don’t know: the vocalist (Jake) has said in interviews that he has always written the drum parts for their music and then let the actual drummer (Nick) put his spin on it. He has a beautiful drum kit and although I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing him use it in a video or anything, he obviously must shred. I also was expecting at least a chorus or some sort of focal point but I love the fuck out of their aggressive side so I’m not complaining.

    I don't have a CD player anymore, but I pre-ordered the new Reflections already. I can't say enough about this band. I've followed from the very start of The Fantasy Effect and they are just one of the most standout best bands across all the metal genres I listen to. It all started with guitar playthroughs with Patty and Charles. Was sad when Charles left, but we got Berried Alive so I can't complain. The band went on hiatus after The Color Clear, very happy to have them back and this song to reintroduce themselves is very fitting!

    Imagine if Charles Caswell was still in reflections, how crazier could berried alive turn?

      Yesss I wonder, miss the old Reflections but this was cool

      i think if charles was still in Reflections he would have less time to devote to berried alive and we would probably get a more cookie cutter djent solo project. i prefer it the way we have it, where charles can legitimately make his guitar say “fuck you”

      Apparently the relationship between the rest of the band and charles wasn't great though, i believe if he kept playing with them we wouldn't have stuff like The Color Clear which is imo their best record.

    If you haven’t yet, you should really check out the band Sable Hills from Japan. They released their first full length this year and the whole album was perfect. Would love to see what you think of them!!! 🙏🏻

    please do a reaction to Pangaea - Survivors Guilt. You will not be disappointed. absolutely fantastic work of art. i wanna see your reactions to how that track ebbs and flows through different styles and emotions. this band is one of the most technical, young bands out there. this song will blow your mind and hopefully have you craving more from them

    Nik, you deeeeeeefinitely need to go back and listen to Sadist from these guys if you haven't yet. Was my favorite track of theirs before this one.
