I've never heard of anything this djenty, heavy, math metal and just straight up crushing everything auditorally like this before. This band is in its own fuckin league. Fuck. Guitars cables might as well be bridge suspension cables.
Lets not pretend charles and the band werent extremely talented back then too. And charles is till pumping out insane riffs and licks to this day as well.
So I listened to the album through some noise-cancelling headphones... My brain turned to mush; heaviest record I've heard in a while. Creatively stunning, yet terrifyingly brutal. I hope someday they utilise music this heavy for horror/monster flicks.

@@tyolmedo1127 Open palm has it's use. I usually just use them on days when my right hand muting(I'm a southpaw) sucks. Whatever works best for you, honestly. I stick to closed palm because I tune quite low on a rather short 6 string and it helps keep higher strings from ringing better imo.
@@tyolmedo1127 I'm not saying one is better or easier than another, just more efficient. Look how much wrist movement is required by the open palmed player in this video compared to the closed palm.
