I gotta know where u verified the Maya is water resistant. Everything I've heard is it shouldn't be worn in the snow or rain. How did it hold up after it dried from getting the hose?
I just scooped up a Mackage Kent and I'm throughly impressed by how warm it is considering how light it is. Anytime I have a winter jacket on my radar you're my go to guy my guy
@@thetruthhurts7500Some people like a more “feminine” look. I am not a man, but I like more “masculine” looking clothing. Better we all have different taste, than looking the exact same
Appreciate you for checking out all my down jacket videos! Let me know if you have any brand recommendations that you'll like to see for next video. And thanks, it's my favorite watch as you can tell from every single one of my videos lol
The North Face one here is perfect for the majority of people. Most people aren’t outside too long. If you commute via bus or train on a bad day close to an hour outside. Typical days 10 minutes to 30 minutes.
I think the arcteryx proton is the best jacket of all time. For below 30F I use a Mackage Dixon. 90% of the time I wear my Arcteryx or use it as a midlayer when it’s below 10 or below 0F
I completely missed the point that this was a fashion review. I guess I wouldn’t be seen dead in any of these. I’m impressed with some of the water resistance of these jackets, but I’m more interested in the technical aspects of puffers. None of these reviewed had any real technical features, like belay poppers/ zips or practical features climbers etc. would want. They suit a purpose for people who like to look puffy and shiny! It was interesting all the same and to be fair they are all very warm. Technical companies are more like these ones….Mountain Equipment, Arcteryx, Rab, different The North Face ones, Patagonia, Mountain Hardwear and many more. They have way more features and, ultimately, they are way better value. All the companies I’ve just mentioned do products that have been issued for Everest expeditions. It might be worth checking these out for people who’d like a great jacket that’ll last a lifetime and keep them toastie warm.
I have watched few of your jackets review videos..and they helped a lot! For CG, which one do you recommend to bring to trip to Saint Petersburg and Murmansk Russia in Dec, puffer or parka? I really cant decide 😢
Stop giving +5 rating on jackets which dont deserve it... you said yourself, North face was freakin cold, so give it a max of 5... not a 7... 7 is above average to good.... I see that with many of your jackets... you actual review you say it's bad... and still giving something an 8+.... dafuq?
This is why when you see pictures of folks wearing a North Face Nuptse, they are usually wearing a hoodie under it. The Moncler was an eye opener. I would either buy the Mackage Kent, or the Canada Goose Crofton; if I were going to put out that much money.
Good point, I was fairly generous with my ratings here. I try to make my ratings relative to my ratings for the other 3 jackets. 7 may not be a terrible score in the big picture but it is the lowest rated out of all 4 jackets in this video.
Love your vids brother, always entertaining! Do you happen to know a Montreal based brand called Kanuk by any chance? I have a winter coat from them and i can still go out at -40 C to walk my husky around 😂 i recommend them to you if you are searching for a new brand to explore 😊 keep up the good vids!
i found a deal at nordstrom for the canada goose crofton for $575 hyped to wear this on my trip to New York. im from cali so def gonna be worth it in that cold ass east coast weather
I have two mackage kent coats. Its definitely worth the money also its not mainstream in the UK. so thats a plus. canada goose and moncler is too common
Great presentation 👍 , got 2 North Face ( parka & short ) fits me well tho I agreed not the best but scored 2nd for the price , I love it. Your Canada Goose you model I love. How’s Moose Knuckle??? I’m dying to have one , parka , I’m the same height/ size like you , NOT FOR ME, TOO BIG . The mid length style is ok BUT ONLY DRY CLEANING. No thanks. 🙏. Maybe I’ll check your Canada Goose next investment winter jacket. Merci 🙏👍😜❤️🇨🇦
Moose Knuckles is one of my favorite brands. Very high quality and good warmth. I've done numerous videos on their jackets over the years. Check them out here: 2022: th-cam.com/video/c-btd2ym-gw/w-d-xo.html 2021: th-cam.com/video/cSdMBn-VStQ/w-d-xo.html
The kanuk winter puffer jacket is also nice. My next puffer jacket will either be the Canada Goose or the Kanuk, or both if can't decide 😂 mind you the moose knuckle is also nice and so is Moncler....shit! I forgot about the Mackage 😵💫
You should try OSC Outdoor Survival Canada jackets, it’s like Canada Goose but upgraded in every way. My personal favorite as a lifelong Canadian, they are cheaper than most luxury brands too I got my Desna bomber for $800
They are good, stylish and well made but their weakness is they do not have a waterproof membrane and are not meant for more extreme conditions. I would wear Colmar in fall/spring here in Canada but not when its -30
was surprised to find out how bad north face did, surely for a big name brand they could do better. Oh and personally the canada goose doesnt look that bad, its not shiny and is better looking than the rest, except for north face but thats the only pros on north face 😂
How is value of the jacket even in the criteria when one is 1000 and the other is 350? Also how does a jacket that costs 1000 dollars score nine out of ten? Lol
There's no such thing as waterproof. Even a Goretex jacket leaks overtime. In outdoors, thats what we call "wet out" which means the fabric/material gets saturated and lets the water penetrate inside the jacket. But for non outdoor people, any jacket with dwr coating is fine since they will not be exposed to wet conditions long enough to experience wet out.. But always remember to treat your outershell jackets with dwr once in a while coz overtime, those coating wears out and youll end up buying a new one. Nothing wrong in buying but if you want to save money and prolong the life of your winter or outer shell jackets.. A $20 dwr wash treatment is always better than spending another $300 - $500 for a new jacket. Nice review by the way
This video was not helpful, IMO. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and it rains or drizzled nearly the whole winter. Apraying yourself with a hose directly and then checking if you're dry is not effective at all. A way to remedy this would have been to spray up and stand under... then wait 10-20 mins to see how much has soaked through.
You don’t get it. Puffer IS the most fashionable outerwear item for men in Winter. Choose the oversized silhouette and wide quilting and you will look aggressive as hell. Also no hood please

I'm legit scared of getting mugged when I wear my Canada Goose jacket out

cover up the canada goose badge when you're out in sketchy places!
get rid of its their ethics when it come to down and fur is shocking ,much better brands as well
Afew years ago people where getting mugged for north face jackets and moncler
The best jacket in the world for the price is the Xv Eddie Bauer jacket and there parkas is 50% less than the competition . 😊

Just ordered a Nobis puffer parka. Not much out there to research that brand but looks solid. Getting sprayed was awesome. Good reviews.
Thanks for watching. Nobis parka is an awesome winter jacket

Did the Crofton get water stains on it water being wet. That's what happened to mine, and I've heard it's a common issue

Can you do a comparison video on the knit styles between the brands; Canada goose, Stone Island, Patagonia, north face
are you talking about what kind of knitting stitches between the brands?
