@@shockafter7 😁 no problem and that’s always great to hear. I hope you enjoy playing along and giving yourself a break from the stuff that’s stressing you out 😂
The tone is almost perfect dude ! I think Mike played the bridge with open strings in the recorded version, you can see it at the bizarre festival, it also sounds a little bit better !, great work as always ! ^^
That PRS SE Hollowbody with the Mesa Boogie amp sounds soooooo gooood. The piezo pickup gives each chord more detail to the sound. Also with Mike constantly strumming which allows open strings to be played, I never thought of that, it sounds so much better. I've definitely got some practice and work to do with nailing the verse, thank you for showing exactly how to do it. I've struggled with that part for a while. I wish I knew theory like you do. Great video as always mate. 😁🤙
Thanks Ash! It’s a really addictive sound 🤩 Yeah, that verse part is pretty tricky to get your fingers around - when it clicks, it’s so much fun to play 😁 Thanks for watching mate!
Hello, just discovered your page weeks ago and subbed right away... I saw the oil and water cover, can you please make tutorial how to play it and the settings as well ? Hope you have time for it. Thank you for this page...🎉
Hey and thank you! I do have a tutorial for oil and water on my Patreon page - there’s all the TAB for each Incubus song too plus other exclusive tutorials. The link for it is in the description of all my videos if you’re interested 👍🏻. Thanks for watching!
@@Extremesports49 you’ll get there! The verse has some tricky parts with big stretches. Take your time and break it down into chunks. Work on the first stretch and then move on to the next part once you have that down move onto the next chunk and so on. Then when each chunk is in your muscle memory, that is the time to start putting them together. I have lost count the amount of times I have played this now - took me a decent amount of time to get it feeling comfortable!
Hi Nick these covers are great, really helped me get Mike's tone. Just wondering if you would do a cover of Priceless? I would love to learn more about how he plays the bridge before the solo.
Thank you, I’m so glad they have helped you 😊👍🏻. And yes! Priceless will definitely be coming - I have been working on it on and off for a while now trying to get the whole bridge/solo section down - it’s a tricky one! 😅
I have a mustang IV amp, and im just learning how to play guitar and figuring this amp out. I know this song is definitely to advanced for me at the moment, but i was curious if i can get close to the way this sounds not real sure how to work this amp.
I’m not too familiar with Mustang amps but as long as you can get a slight crunch sound, a nice distorted sound and it has a digital delay, then you’ll definitely be able to get a similar sound to these tones 👍🏻
Great explanación Nick! I'm going to play it this afternoon with the backing track for bass and drums. One question, when it's "DRIVE" video coming up😊? I think it's used a Leslie pedal with some overdrive, maybe? for the sólo part Greetings
Thanks Jorge, enjoy jamming along 😁👍🏻 Drive will be coming soon but yes, you are correct - a rotary/Leslie pedal with some distortion will get you that solo sound 😀
😂 that would honestly be a dream come true and a huge anxiety attack all rolled into one big bundle 🤣. Thanks for the kind comment and for watching 😊👍🏻
@@chrisflores2002 the stretch for the first part of the verse coupled with the picking pattern is probably the hardest part of the verse. Especially where you go from lower down the guitar neck to having to jump up into that big stretch for the verse
Why not focus the camera higher on the guitar.... It's like peeping on your finger upward... Your unused finger is blocking the fretboard and not seeing what you are freting..... Imo
Ah sorry some fingers are in the way - I’m trying to capture the whole area that the songs spans so from the lowest part on the neck to the highest. I try to explain what chords and notes I’m playing as I go through with what finger I’m using, plus what fret and string I’m on. I hope that helps to clear up any confusion from what I may be blocking? Thanks for watching 👍🏻
@@Fitzgerd thanks for recognising what ive observed... sometimes it easy to follow what you're seeing than listening to what is the playing instructions... If im a Chinese or an Arab trying to learn from your content... My first choice is to learn from it by just seeing the actual finger positioning... Thanks you but still your lessons is great!

My Mesa Tremoverb on the orange channel with vintage high gain mode 😁👍🏻
Would definitely help to see a side by side of all the chords as you go through it....
