    Got a broken bearing race stuck in my 93 kdx200 linkage. Going out to hit it with the dremel and grinding bit now. Thanks for the info! Stay safe! EDIT: I didn't have the proper grinding bit. I had to hand file a few weak spots into the race the use a dead blow and flat head to break it where I filed it. Tedious but it got it out!

    Great Vid. Nice to see it completed with simple tools. Although I do like my Motion Pro linkage bearing kit.

    Propane bottle torch to heat and expand the dogbone then MIGHT make extraction easier.

    I did my linkage (05) and there's still a few mm of play at the knuckle ...

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Could be that the bolts and races are worn. A little bit of wear on all of the parts will cause play when all added together if that makes sense.

    Put some heat to it, slide right out

    • @jksoft1208
      @jksoft1208 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, I always start with the heat before resorting to any grinding. Also use a brass punch instead of a steel punch to minimize damage.
