WOW only $174.99 motion pro suspension service tool. I should buy a spare set at that price. Oh hang on, here are some nuts, washers, sockets, and a threaded rod, what could I possibly use that for.
I have a foot long 1/2 inch diameter threaded rod and nuts/washers, cost about $12 at the local hardware store. Using this setup with various diameter sockets, I can remove and install just about any bearing on your bike. Just gotta take an extra moment and make sure everything is going in square, as stated in the video.
Can you explain to me exactly what hardware I need to build this contraption, I gotta remove the bearings on my 250R and don’t wanna spend all the cash on the kit. Thanks🤘🏼🤘🏼

All of the sockets you use to press the bearings will need to be 1/2 inch drive if you are using the 1/2 inch threaded rod. And with this setup, obviously you can't press any bearings with an inside diameter smaller than 1/2 inch.
Coat metal parts with grease before putting them in the freezer. When you pull them out of the freezer the grease will keep the metal parts from collecting humidity in the air.
i have a siezed swing arm axle. no weight on it but i cant drift shaft out. what do i do now sir. besides belting the shit out of it. is there a puller i can make. robert western australia.??????
I've had the same question for a while and from what I can gather, electrical contact cleaner leaves basically no residue, leaving a nice, clean area. Other cleaners can leave a residue, which grease does not like - corrections welcome though!!
You can use the chapters to fast forward to only the parts you need. But it is important to us to show what tools we used and how to use them properly.

FYI 1/2 inch threaded rod DOES NOT fit through 1/2 inch drive sockets. Use a 7/16 inch rod.
Thank you
Charles is the best!
16:40 whats special about 2.5mm deep? Also is this a harder runner seal or a more rubbery one?
Can you just hammer them in with regular bearing driver?
Can you show us how to replace muffler berings mine are going out on my drz 125 I haven't found any videos on your channel on how to do it, thank you
Muffler bearings?
@@joecooper1543 ya mine are going out

Check your blinker fluid and adjust the sky hook and all will be good 🤙
@@JEvans575 ya i had to put more blinker fluid in my 5 day old crf 250l because the stupid dealer forgot to fill it from the store
What grease did you use?
The red grease we used was Pivot Works Bearing Grease and the rest was a multi-purpose grease like Maxima Hi-Temp Waterproof Grease.
Can i ask what kind of swing arm is that?thank you..
The swingarm in this video is off a 2005 Honda CRF450R
getting the swing arm on and off isn't so easy, or when you have to drill out the chain slider screws on old dirt bikes:)
Mine was incredibly stuck but I ended up getting it to turn using a chisel
Removing seals: better to use a proper size wrench depending on the seal size. They usually don't have sharp points like a flathead screwdriver does.
Heat&Beat
Why won’t my bearings go in smooth? One side won’t go in at all but the exact size of hole
Put the bearing in the freezer and heat the swingarm then try to instal it

You need some special tools , A vice and some sockets😂👍🏼
