I think you should react to her entire discography, Lady Gaga is a rare, extravagant, but especially unique one, there is no artist like her The Fame The Fame Monster Born this way Artpop Joanne Chromatica
I was so thrown by that too lol. I think he may have been joking? Cause of that whole she has a d*** tabloid drama when she first got big. But maybe he didn’t know and I appreciate you saying sometjing
Hey I hope this makes it clear, but if you watch his old Telephone MV reaction, he acknowledged that Gaga is not a trans woman. He remembered back day that the rumours are circulating.. so yeah he's joking here 🤣
I had watched his Telephone reaction so many times and missed that lol. I’m glad to know that and on my next watch through I’ll look out for it haha. I knew he must have been joking in my heart of hearts but I kept thinking like huh, maybe people who didn’t keep up with her and just knew of that controversy don’t know it was all crap lies from the beginning but thank you again for pointing that out. So glad to see he’s continuing through with the recently released Born This Way Reaction!
This album changed the music industry, and dictated the sound for the 2010s. Gaga went back to the 80s pop but added the 2000s flair and created a whole global trend for the next years
Paper Gangsta is about how Gaga was signed to Def Jam by L.A Reid but dropped 3 months after being signed. Gaga would wait for hours outside Reid's office to discuss the direction of her music but he never took the time. He said himself that he regrets dropping her and rightfully so.
That’s somewhat true but she was signed with def jam already. But def jam wanted her to use a lot of autotune because they thought she didn’t have a good singing voice so before releasing her album they ended up dropping her
@@ernansandoval Somewhat? It is true and I don't understand what you mean by already signed. That's obvious, no? Also, I'm aware, it's why she sang it with heavy autotune on the Monster Ball 1.0.
And nobody understood what she was singing in that Poker Face post-chorus, even iTunes missed it and didn’t mark the song explicit, only ONE radio station reached out to her and asked her to make a censored version.
For a solid decade, Kanye and Gaga were my 2 favorite artists, and the fact that most people miss the creative connections between the 2 of them always intrigues me. Me and like 8 friends bought tickets to the Fame Kills tour, was pissed when it was cancelled. One thing to know is that Gaga is a performance artist through and through, and her music, especially “The Fame” and “Fame Monster” should be interpreted as tongue-in-cheek. That’s why it comes across so extremely shallow and vapid, because she was making fun of how a lot of pop music at the time sounded.
I don't listen to pop music. I think most of it is boring and lacks creativity/originality, BUT when Lady Gaga debuted I was intrigued. I actually love this album. I also think the fact that Poker Face is still played on the radio uncensored is iconic. People had no idea she wasn't saying "poker face" the second time. There are a few songs from The Fame Monster that I enjoy. I enjoyed Chromatica way more than I thought I would. I wasn't expecting real house music tracks on a Gaga album. Her producers knew exactly what they were doing on Chromatica.
if nicki minaj is the female weezy, i’ve always said gaga is the female yeezy at least artistic wise. gaga really changed the entire pop landscape with this album, the beginning of her greatness.
And this was her DEBUT album! She came out of the gate running! Yes Paper Gansta is about Def Jam records because they signed her in 2006 and dropped her just 3 months later, not allowing her to use any music she'd made with them, so she had to start again from scratch. But she got the last laugh because they really fumbled the bag on that one... she BLEW UP in 2008 and all her singles the next two years were smash hits
Him listening to paparazzi and saying hes heard all of them so far. MAN. It was the most sold debut album of the 2000s. Its a flex for gaga to have this album as her first release
hey babe i think we're all skipping over that.... she is not the most famous trans woman ever as she is just .... a woman..... but she's still the greatest woman so
It’s so wild how much Gaga’s voice changes with each album. Some unreleased songs (Like Fancy Pants) she sounds like a different person. Can’t wait to see more!
I LOVED this reaction. Seen hundreds of gaga reactions and this is top tier, you’re so candid and funny. I’d love to see you react to the rest of her albums (and videos!) 😊
If you ever get the chance to see her live, DO IT! She is a very theatrical, aggresive, energetic, unique, and amazing performer! No matter your music preference!
Rob Fusari is a great producer but he and Gaga never worked together again. RedOne would become the main producer of her second album, so get ready for more electronic beats. The Fame Monster is arguably the peak of that sound.
40:00 that melody you recognize…”The Venga Bus is coming, and everybody’s jumping, New York to San Francisco, an intercity disco…” Alternatively that melody also became the Six Flags theme song
Martin Kierszenbaum is a producer and songwriter and he had a pseudonym called Cherry Cherry Boom Boom which is why Gaga references that a few times on her songs (where he had involvement in at least). He also has Cherrytree Records under which I believe her first 2-3 albums were involved with. Edit: it's been heavily speculated and rumored that it was Rob Fusari that he was the one that sexually abused her while they were working together. She has never named him outright but long standing fans have kinda put the pieces and timeline together on the details that she did reveal about those things that happened to her.
When Just Dance came out it changed me forever and I was only 1 year old. I also felt very blessed because in 2022 Aug 19th aka The Fame's release date I went to my first Gaga concert ever. Gaga Is queen of pop! Periodt!
Paper Gangsta - maybe you are thinking it sounds like Venga Bus? Also don’t know if you noticed but Paper Gangsta is playing over the speakers in the prison in the intro of the Telephone music Video
Appreciate the love. Always try to find a good mix between showing enough music (not just 10 sec like many other channels) and having some commentary ✨
Thanks for reacting to lady gaga. I remember Ellen saying that there is no popstar in recent years that has risen to the top so fast as lady gaga. Imagine the first four songs of your debut album being bb top 1. Like who does that nowadays.
Im glad you like rob. He is very talented and their songs are forever iconic. Unfortunately it’s alleged that he threatened to burn her music if she didn’t have sex with him which resulted in an unwanted and unfruitful pregnancy. Can’t wait for you to see the impact it had on her later music as a result of this with songs such as marry the night, swine, replay (the whole chromatica album really)
@@kpopperful we don’t know. Allegedly. Lady gaga and rob did sue each other at one point. And she said it happened when she was 19, which was when she wrote these songs like paparazzi, disco heaven, etc.

In an alternate universe I would have went to see the Fame Kills tour! Imagine a show where Kanye and Gaga combine their genius creativity, what a shame it got cancelled!!
I will forever be bummed that she never followed Disco Heaven with Retro, Dance, Freak. It's such a great followup and would've been a perfect song to end the album with
I never understand why some reactors act so shocked when they know songs that were some of the biggest hits, by one of the biggest artists of all time lmaoo. Specially the straight guys, it’s almost like they’re ashamed, just get over it

Ahhhh great video !!! You definitely must react to her EP (second album) THE FAME MOSTER. Pleaseeee
my roman empire is that gaga got away with saying "f-f-fuck her face" on mainstream radio lol
And I realize that like a year ago
There’s only 1 radio station that caught it and asked for censorship
I used to joke around that she was saying that. I didn't know that's what she was actually saying.
Kid Cudi actually joined Gaga on some dates of her monster ball tour and performed Make Her Say, that’s the duet that can only happen in 2009

Gaga influenced alot of new popstars today with this album alone. It changed lives, the industry, and even fashion.
Rob Fusari, RedOne, Lauriann Gibson (her choreographer back in the early years), and her hunger for fame was peak Gaga.
She did a full album with mark ronson too… and two unreleased but leaked Kendrick Lamar collabs
