Lust for life is extremeeely underrated!!! Heroin and love r my favs, but in my feelings groupie love and get free r also on top. Nobody recognizes it's uniqueness and productionnn.
Summer Bummer is one of my fave Ldr song, when I first heard it, totally hypnotized by it, I was on my bike at night and I almost got hit by a truck on the boulevard. The driver stopped to yell at me, it added to this musical experience.
Radiohead sued Lana for "plagiarism" in Get Free but forgot that they got sued by the writers of The Air That I Breathe by The Hollies for the exact same reason 💀
Did you know that 12 years ago, on September 26th The Weeknd discovered Lana Del Rey through tumblr, and was the first one to ask BBC Radio 1 to put 'Video Games' on their playlist. In fact in an interview Abel admits that when he met Lana, he felt that he had found the girl who was writing in her songs, that is, I found her muse for her songs. The Weeknd and Lana met in 2010, the year in which the Weeknd launched "Trilogy", and it is seen that they became very good friends, so much so that the voice of a woman who sounds in "Lonely Star" is inspired by Lana del Rey and it should be clarified that Lana helped a producer the album, "BBTM".On the surface, The Weeknd and Del Rey might seem like very different artists. After all, The Weeknd’s music hip hop and soul sound feels more in line with someone like Ariana Grande. Meanwhile, Del Rey’s career lives much more in line with rock-infused pop. However, the two artists are much more similar than the genres of their music might reveal. For instance, The Weeknd and Del Rey both often capture a dream-like quality in their songs. In addition, their lyrical content dips into dark territory, such as their preoccupation with drug references. So it makes sense they would work well together. And so they have. Beginning with The Weeknd’s 2015 single “Prisoner,” they’ve worked together on five songs.Although the Grammy Awards have yet to bestow a trophy to Del Rey, her work certainly makes a huge impact on The Weeknd. In fact, the “Blinding Lights” singer once revealed just how vital she is to his own music. In a 2015 interview with Pitchfork, The Weeknd explained the interconnected nature of Del Rey’s music and his own. “Me and Lana have been friends for a long time. I’ve inspired her. She’s inspired me. I feel like we’ve always been talking to each other through our music. She is the girl in my music, and I am the guy in her music. It’s just this ghostly collaboration that feels the most natural on the whole [Beauty Behind the Madness] album. Even the whole monologue intro on “Lonely Star” from [my 2011 mixtape] Thursday - I just realized now that that’s Lana. That’s Lana’s voice. I mean, it’s my voice pitched up, but it’s her. It’s who she is. She was definitely the first feature that I wanted to bring on this album.” The Weeknd and Del Rey are more than just collaborators, it seems. The pair’s music - according to The Weeknd - is spiritually linked. Perhaps this revelation puts into context not only the collaborations between these two but their respective catalogs as well. As great collaborations he has Prisoner, Party Monster where Lana makes Background vocals, Stargirl Interlude, Lust for Life and Money Power and Glory an unreleased remix by The weeknd for the album kissland but the original is from Lana's album Ultraviolence.Anyway, long life to this wonderful collaboration. Abelana Forever 🥰🥰September 26 Abelana Anniversary. 12 years ago The Weeknd discovered Lana on Tumblr and they became friends ❤❤❤
White Mustang and In My Feelings are about her now ex-boyfriend, G-Easy. The loser. LOL And Get Free LOL guess who tried to sue Lana for the similarities and LOST ! 😊❤
Love is one of my top faves in Lana's discography. You should try seeing the mv for it. The sonics in this track is really something for me. The atmosphere it creates is surreal
Funny enough, the house you're referring to in high by the beach, she did end up owning for some time. She even let Courtney Love live there for a period of time. True story ❤
Lana really be complaining about people not leaving her alone meanwhile she is the one filming every corner of her house and it’s location in a music video 😭
This album is very underrated since it serves as a point of transition in Lana’s career and art. Most longtime fans would agree that lust for life is the gate that leads to “modern lana” (aka: NFR and all the albums after) This album marks the end of the BTD/UV/honeymoon Lana.
The 3 last albums is very low produced and has more of her private life, like, heavy stuff. Most of fans love them. But its not that enjoyable, BC its a lot. She made them for herself and for some fans who wanted to know more about her.
Fact: she indeed bought the house she is in the High By The Beach music video, so it's actually her house 🤣. I think she owned it for a short period then sold it.
You should check out her live performance of get free on lollapalooza brasil 2018, she makes a funny comment about the lawsuit. Also, in my feelings is about G-easy
Objectively this is really not her best album its a good one for sure but lyrically its not as strong as her other albums and the songs are more repetitive
Is this better than NFR? Ok. Is this her best album ever? That's SO questionable to say. But hey, I really support the idea of you reacting to the 90s-2000s rock albums! I can’t believe you’ve never heard them before
ultraviolence and honeymoon are my favourites, but lust for life is so underrated and in my opinion is definitely better than her others, like nfr is too overrated, its only critically acclaimed because it was her first album with jack antonoff but he made it kinda boring.

I love Lana so much but ultraviolence and NFR will always be my favs. Could never say this is her best album but I still listen to it a lot!

I GET THE REFERENCE OMG full circle moment although I had to google it ngl
"Sean you need to defend yourself now" you're too funny 😭💀 "NFR take notes" clock it
White Mustang, Heroin, Get free are the best songs in this album🤍
37:24 is G-eazy and her beef (? with Halsey for him.
White Mustang was written about Lana's relationship with G-Eazy... it's also in my top 3 of LFL 🎵🎼😘🇬🇧
great great great reaction even tho I'm not finished. might have to add somethings later on idk lets see. but keep going with lana!!!
This is widely thought to be her “worst” album, but I loved it when it came out and I still do ❤️
the wide obviously doesn't know what's good then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
👏😁 I'm seated !!! LOL

you gotta listen to kick i by arca its a super cool album with some great features, arca produced loads of stuff, including a lot of yeezus by kanye
that video you talk about commenting the song 13 beaches is actually the "High by the beach" music video ;)
Lust For Life could've been her best song if it wasn't for the weeknd 😭
for the first time I'll have to agree with you. yes, this IS BETTER than NFR.
Amen
Lfl is actually my fave lana album 😭 but the die hard stans are shaming me for it
White Mustang is abt G Easy so it’s mostly real lyrics
Can you react to melanie martinez's cry baby album it was iconic at the time
Isnt she the one that mentally derailed and screeched on stage? 😐
@tamerail this made me laugh so hard LOL her visuals are always crazy good. And she's def got a story she's telling ! ❤
Yes 😐
I love your reactions of Lana ❤😊
LFL is her best, the most meaningful and complex, HEROIN, GET FREE and Coachellla are out of this world..I also love Beauiful ppl beautiful problems
To me this is my favourite album

You should check out her live performance of get free on lollapalooza brasil 2018, she makes a funny comment about the lawsuit.

OKAY WILD TING TO SAY THAT ITS BETTER THAN NFR. i am not sure how to react to this
Lust for life tells a story of the 70s and late 60s and discuss the themes and topic .
Gurlll
I love how confident you are about your very WRONG opinions! 😂❤
agree to disagree about my very right opinions :)

what can we expect from someone who listens to Kanye West right?
Come on kid try a little harder next time. My favourite artist is the idol of your favourite artist.
lana sings in their wedding. so what can we expect now of lana?
Is this better than NFR? Ok.
Is this her best album ever? That's SO questionable to say.

Funny that you mention Get Free sounding like Creep, because they actually sued her for it and WON.
Don’t know whether that’s funny or sad. Although I could tell a similarity it was just one piece of the chorus. Like chill lol
@@tamerail yeah lmao, do u plan to do more Lana? If so blue banisters is my fav, but I feel like u might hate it based off of ur other reactions
Ocean BLVD for sure. Don’t know about the other two. Maybe lizzy grant if I need a laugh
The funniest thing is that radiohead got sued for copyright on creep by the hollies when it was released
Nah why'd you shave
I looked like someone who touches children :/
@@tamerail well with the clean shave you look like someone who touches men ;(
