Lana does not have any Grammy Awards. The Grammy Awards have rumors of issues about her, saying that they will never take Lana seriously (This was leaked from the recent Grammy Awards when she got another multiple nominations yet none of them won). During the time NFR was released, most people were expecting it to win the album of the year yet it didn't, the ones that won was also pretty good but people say lana's NFR was more artistic and more fitting to be the album of the year yet she didn't win. When her most recent yet personal album came out talking about her traumas, death, addiction, & weakest spot everyone was really expecting lana to win at least one of the nominations, yet again, she she didn't. Lana is not an easy artist, you need to know at least a little about her to make the experiences of her songs hit better. Lana fans understand why some people don't like her style and don't understand her poetry, but are rooting for her to win at least one award yet she was robbed over and over again.
I do agree that it was beautifully written, however I also think that he must check the previous albums first before that one because it requires a lot of background to understand most of the songs. I suspect he will be bored of that album if he skips from NFR to Ocean Blvd. I, even myself took time to process that album, it was beautifully devastating. Kintsugi and Fingertips completely deleted me from where I was at the time I was listening to it 😂 and when I fully realized the meaning of the songs, it became the top songs for me of the album. The album was a little experimental and kind of hinting of a new era of Lana that is coming. They say the concept of the album was like a tunnel where as you enter the tunnel it becomes darker and colder as you go to the middle and darkest part until you see the light as you come out of it. Hby? What's your fav and top songs from that album?
@@dokitodokitoons Tbh I don't think he needs a lot of background from other albums actually. Most of the references don't tie into her past albums except NFR and instead come from her personal life. For example A&W just interpolates a demo song(Earthquakes), not even a song from another album. Fingertips is just expanding on what little we knew from Wildflower Wildfire, but most of what we know about her mother comes from interviews, her poetry, or Fingertips itself. Taco Truck x VB references VB but that's on this album so it doesn't really tie into the other past albums. It kind of sounds like you would just prefer him to react in order like most people do to get the "full Lana experience" rather than him not being able to understand DYKTTATUOB unless he listened to all of the previous albums. Which there's nothing wrong with that, I just thought I'd clear things up so it wasn't misleading.

The influence that this album had in such of the greatest albums of the past years like Solar Power, Folklore, The Record, etc. is so amazing, Lanas always changing the culture game, what a legend.
kanye lyric is cuz he dyed his hair blonde and went like pretty much crazy, she also sang at his a kim’s wedding and he proposed to kim using her song young and beautiful fun fact
The stutter in “bart-t-t-tender” is her mimicking the clicking sound of paparazzi cameras, since the song is about her buying a very inconspicuous looking truck and escaping with it to her ‘bartender’ aka the man who takes all her pain and worries away
That part pisses me off the most, this woman changed pop music and how it's written just for no one to respect her because of her SNL performance more than 10 years ago :/
About the last song "Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me but I have it" I really recommend checking out it's interpretation by Mend with Mere on her yt ("Therapist Reacts To: Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but I have it by LDR"), she's a therapist and I think she explained this song pretty well. This one is actually one of my favourites, gets me emotional every time.
+ I always interprated "the black narcissist" as a destructive part of Lana's personality: the depression, the addictions, the suicidal thoughts and a "gatekeeper carelessly dropping the keys on my nights of" as the nights when she feels week and those issues come back, because she's not guarding herself on those nights.
in hope is a dangerous thing, she is talking about AA meetings (which are often held in church basements, often use the triad, and there is always coffee) she was an alcoholic at 14
Thank you so much for this reaction. Personally I would like for you to react to Honeymoon which in my opinion is her best album lyrically and vocally. I hate how everytime fans see a male person react to Lana they always want Lust for life because there are male singers in it even though it’s not even remotely close to being a better album than Honeymoon.
That's quite a bold statement coming from somebody who should be focused more on their own. How is your channel doing ?? Edit: I checked, you're not doin so well. You're not doin anything. With your zero videos. Stfu

It’s the 79th greatest album of all time on Apple Music

You spoke the truth
I stand for you, lana deserve at least one Grammy for her work of art
It’s gotten so ridiculous that Taylor took her up on stage to ensure that Lana got recognition at the Grammys
At this point I feel like she deserves an award for her whole career and her recognized contribution to today’s musical landscape
I recommend “Did You Know There Was a Tunnel Under Ocean Blv.” next it’s so beautifully written and personal

kanye lyric is cuz he dyed his hair blonde and went like pretty much crazy, she also sang at his a kim’s wedding and he proposed to kim using her song young and beautiful fun fact
I think the kanye reference was more of a political reference than the physical, but adding this idea hits even better now ❤️
the music vid for the greatest and fiily are looped into each other !!
