Stopped in once again to watch this and hopefully work my way through your whole series. You have been so generous and helpful in putting out this information, and I just wanted to tell you once again how much I appreciate this wonderful resource, and how much I appreciate you!!!

Thank you!!! I had no idea how to do a reverse search. I have quite a few images on my computer that I have no idea if they are “safe” or not! Now I can find out!!!❤️

Recently came across your channel and just finished the Public Domain Series. Thank you, once again, for sharing this very valuable information and for so willingly wanting to help your viewers. There is power in knowledge and I am so looking forward to going on rabbit trails and to watch your other videos. Just an FYI. I went onto google to try the search and under the Usage Rights there are only 2 options now. Creative Commons License and Commercial and other License.

I just want you to know, this series is so helpful, and I really appreciate that you created it. I am kind of new to this, so it is very helpful. Is this sort of the same idea with fonts? They have to be public domain, or whatever? New sub. 😊 I don't do the same type of crafting as you, but your work is beautiful. I would like to learn how to do this, someday, though. It is funny you said that about botanicals...I am trying to find some winter botanicals but not much luck, it is all personal use. The Graphics Fairy had some, but not too many.

I am always concerned if I have used someones copyright work by misake. I always check see if it says free usage, from Graphic fairy, etc. But this information you have provided is priceless. I didn't know that google had a search like this or that there was a reverse image site to use. This will be so helpful and thank you so much for you explanation and visual examples.

I'm behind on watching these because I have gone down the rabbit hole at Flicker and gotten absolutely lost in it (in a good way). This is so helpful, thank you. I saw Andrea mentioned stamps being used in digital designs for on selling and was not too sure I quite understood. I know she uses some off her “stamped off” images for background papers. I have a collection of stamps from a small home business that is no longer selling that I often use in my personal journals. If, any I’m by no means ready to , I were to sell a journal with these stamped images as part of the decoration.......would that be a no ? Thanks again, I so enjoyed watching all your videos in this series.

Hi Susan. I found you in the Artymaze “copywrite” article section. My kits are all hand painted, but I really want to branch out. As with most of us, this is an area of extreme intimidation when you want to create beautiful art without harming other artists. This vid. is a gem. I’m subbing now. So excited to see what else you have. I’m seeing that stamps are a no no. Do you have any insight on that? Thx for your time and vids. 😁🌸

Did they just change the wording? If so, which one is equal to Labeled For Reuse With Modification? Thank you.

Thanks for the video! However I'm not sure if I really understood the criteria you use. For the government site, it states that there is no known copyright. Can we then be 100% sure because it is the government itself using it or telling us that? As for Pinterest, for example, if an image is found there, we should then research deeper to find a possible owner?

Great info. I have a Master of Library and Information Studies and am educated in copyright law; however, I am not an attorney and don't know everything. I was wondering what do you know about people selling original photographs of people who are not a family member and who could still be alive? It is my understanding that this is illegal. I am seeing quite a few sellers on IG and Etsy with ephemera packs for sale that includes photos of people from like the 40s and 50s who could still be alive. What are your thoughts?

@@SusanTaylorBrown Thank you for taking the time to respond in such a thorough way. It is a very interesting topic/dilemma . Personally, I don't use photos of people much in my crafting and if I ever did, I would use ones from my personal collection and probably just for work I would keep for myself or give to a family member. I just remember you saying in one of your videos that you are a writer and you have great content regarding copyright so I value your opinion. Take care and if I find out anything regarding this subject through research (which I love to do), I will pass it along!
