My grandson loves trains and was watching this one day after school. He was very excited to see me caught on your camera at Ormond Station waiting for the train. 😊

Great Vid. I took this route every day as a Kid and remember it well. My grandfather was the Station Master at McKinnon for 30 odd years. When I was very young, I stayed with him in the Signal Box while Mum went into town shopping. He would hold me up so I could pull on leavers and big wheel to operate the Gates. Was a thrill as a young Kid of 5. I was given his old H Key for the gates and I also have his lighter that he used to light the old lanterns. He was a very proud of McKinnon as it had lots of flower boxes that he tendered too along the platform and hanging baskets that hung on the Old wrought iron along the fascia of the platform. Just to note all the old platforms had beautiful wrought iron lattice along them not the scalloped tin we see today. It was removed in the 90's. Same as Yarraville station on the williamstown line. I saw them one morning at Yarraville removing them and they looked shonky. Always did wonder if it was a shonky job or deliberate by Vic Rail. Thanks again for the Vid, has captured my youth and memories of granpa Ryan.

@@johnwillis8221 there was a lot of pride in the locations in the old days. Things are certainly different these days. It would have been great for you experiencing all that as a child. Very happy you enjoyed the video 👍 😀

Gotta love all the clicky and creaky sounds.😄
Also I'm glad the train went straight at the first set of points. Considering that freight train on the other line, this could have ended up as a very short video.😳
