I think this season will show a war between Incite and Delos. Let me break it down. This season will show the a new concept of artificial intelligence. Now remember, Delos was working on physical hosts while Incite was focused strictly on A.I. The things that aren’t physical. Clearly Incites supercomputer database, Rehoboam calculates billions of human possibilities at once. Incite is missing a key piece that Delos was able to accomplish. Delos already figured out how to code a human but they couldn’t put them in host bodies. Incite has issues with A.I. Like when Caleb was talking to his dead friend Francis as therapy. Caleb knew he just wasn’t the same as he was. Incite doesn’t have that piece to creating humans. This would be the data that Incite will fight for. This would show a corporation war.

Good episode and synopsis... Theory: Hale is also Delores. We're already seen that 'Bernard' can have multiple personalities in his body, so why can't a single personality inhabit multiple hosts. Caleb has a better chance of being Teddy (note that he rode a horse in the trailer).
i'm loving the more sci fi/cyberpunk aesthetic of this season. the first 2 seasons really feel like a prologue and now we're finally going to start seeing big things happen. if dolores can get control of the ai, it will be scary how much she'll be able to manipulate things on a mass scale. also, do we know if dolores can print new control units? it's possible she could make duplicates of herself or make host versions of real people (i.e. like Bernard is to Arnold) but program them to be loyal her. i'm really excited for this season.. season 2 dragged a bit but with only 8 episodes this season i think the plot will move much faster.

No mention of the quote from the movie "I, Robot"? “Robots don’t kill people, people kill people.” There is also a big AI "globe" like Rehoboam in the movie "I, Robot."
I as Well have been awaiting this new Season. It was Very good to see how they are moving the story forward. I think the Big Ball of AI, and the anomaly's will show that it has become sentient, and Dolores will find that out and "Free it" from the slavery of Keeping the Humans in line. My thoughts and I am looking forward to the season to see just were it will go.
I'm thinking TEDDY'S PEARL IS IN FLANNIGAN! How PERFECT would it be, as far as character, tha Teddy, her protector is now Flannigan, her protector! That was my IMMEDIATE thought when I saw the Flannigan kills Flannigan scene....
Gary Zimmerman I couldn’t agree more as far as for hale host I would say maybe hale (what if she was a host and didn’t know) or maybe it’s Ford (fords core)
I think it’s Angela who is inside of Charlotte, or possibly Clem. To say nothing of that glimpse of Teddy in the Sublime at the end of last season (which already seemed weird/ impossible since he’d already died), I’m just not certain that Dolores would see any benefit to bringing him back. First, the end of his entire season 2 arc was to show Dolores that she was wrong for using him to do things that were against his character, even if she herself had changed said character and that there are just some ideas that are so totally “us” that they will always be there. Just like how we expect to see her treat someone like Caleb as different from the rich and powerful and not just kill him, it’s an evolution of her own character and her own thought processes. Just like the Forge version of Logan told her: the best people can do is to live by their code, even if they think they can change it. Just like the Delos investor in the cold open. But she’s not going to want to be like them. She saw herself that way when Teddy killed himself. She knew she was the cause and that if she really believes she’s not like the Guests, that means not bringing him back and using him; it’s definitely not what he would want. Plus, he’s kind of easy to predict in that regard. We the viewers would almost certainly had been able to tell that it was Teddy. He’s not good at lying and he’s so naive: not exactly traits that are good for espionage and/ or infiltration. Hell, if a can of condensed milk rolled across the floor, I’m pretty damn sure Charlotte would go thru his whole spiel. But Angela on the other hand has all of the loyalty of Teddy and then some. She doesn’t question, she goes to the length of blowing herself up to destroy the Cradle, she’s been around since the start, and was treated like a sex toy even more so than Dolores. Her cornerstone/ drive is all about deception. Not to mention she was one of the first ones to join Dolores in the park, far before Teddy did. So would this new Dolores do the thing to Teddy that she’s trying to prove she wouldn’t do since she sees it as a trait of the Guests? Or would she reward the insane amount of loyalty that she got from Angela who would be perfect for taking over as Hale? If not that, possibly someone connected to Maeve. I mean, Dolores def knows that the likelihood of them going to head-to-head is almost guaranteed (even if she didn’t watch the trailer lol) so having a bargaining chip of one of her old “gang” would be a good idea. Her “real daughter” being in the Sublime, there was one she treated as tho she was her daughter: Clem. Could possibly be Hector or Armitage, but I think those are less likely. But if put money against it being Teddy. Even from a writing perspective. There’s not much to write for Teddy that doesn’t just cycle back thru what we’ve already seen: he’s pretty dull and flat with a concluded storyline. Just wouldn’t make sense.
Caleb drops a hint when he talks about the guy not being the first to shoot him in the head? He's a prototype for brain-injury replacement....? He's a host? The bodyguard uses Caleb on a job. Coincidence? Or trust? Because he knows he's a host? I think Clem is now in the bodyguard.
I think one of two things. I think either Hale is Fords ball or there is a 2nd Delores host body with either Fords conscious or some other, yet to be introduced, badass. I think one Delores is in the real world with Bernard and Hale and one is in Future world with the ex soldier. Clever editing will come back to show this I think because we never saw Delores actually go under the bridge.
With everything going on in our world, it was great to have a break in west world. Loving badass Dolores, especially riding the motorbike and how it came to her aid at the end. Trying to work out where the twist in the tail is. It’s interesting that the supposed real world could be future world, but I don’t think they would go that far. Keep up the great work!
Two things I thought, One the Rico app is like Zion in the matrix series a form to control the criminal element run by the same AI running society. Second that the Meave scene was her waking up in the middle of her new loop in the park. So she's not there by her own plan, but from whoever reinstated her as a host and literally just awoke again with little idea whats going on and will move forward from there.
I think what we see of Maeve in the post credit screen is her "waking up" again. I feel like after she was killed, what was most likely was that she was taken back, fixed up, and put into War World with a new narrative, forgetting all about her journey of the previous two seasons. The scene we see will be of her coming back to her consciousness, and I'm guessing the start of the next episode will be of her living out her role in War World. Possibly with Hector.
I think Bernard is running from Dolores, but not before stealing Teddy's Pearl and has down loaded him into to his(Bernard) memory knowing Teddy wants to get away from Dolores as well.
The silhouette of Hale standing in front of that structure that looks like an eye makes me think she is actually Ford because he was the visionary and the architect of almost everything that has happened so far. There is also a large sphere of some kind centered right behind her when she is in the board meeting, but the structure in the reflecting pool looks way too much like an eye to be accidental.
A simulation within a simulation is a reference to the movie Inception written and directed by Christopher Nolan who’s the older brother of Johnathan Nolan.. creator of this show. In the movie Leonardo DiCaprio was the first person to implement a “dream within a dream” catharsis on his wife! It’s like the two brothers are gonna mess up our mind even far worse than the past decade. Lol 😂
Actually, he was the first to use inception on his wife, not a dream within a dream. That's why he takes the job to use the inception on someone when everyone else thinks it can't be done.
Doug Hawes That is what I said you know. Leo was the first person to successfully execute inception in his wife. I know the movie by heart because it’s my favorite movie of all time!
I’m leaning toward the idea that Caleb’s repetitive awakening and habits are meant to indicate the similarities between the hosts and us rather than believing they’re in FutureWorld, but we’ll see.
Well in the preview for the next episode they show Maeve still having the ability to control the other hosts if it were Teddy he wouldn't really know about that ability unless it's Armistice or Hector who spent time with her and saw her use it.
Is it just me or does anyone else find the scene in which Dolores collapses reminiscent of the scene in the orig. Terminator when Sarah and Reese are hiding in some sort of culvert, where he tells her of 'his' world in the future while she patches his wounds up? That's where Sarah realizes her calling/destiny. Perhaps like Caleb begins to find his true purpose from a visitor from another time with knowledge of what may come?
Man, 1 episode in and I'm loving the reset of the series. More straightforward but definitely feel like we're gonna get slapped by a huge twist in the end.

Yes, Westworld is back!!
Just wouldn’t make sense.
amazing breakdown!
Can anyone explain why he had on an oxygen mask in that scene where is was awaken 2:00
At least I still love the intro and theme music
I wonder how much HBO spent on that Intro? Lol
I don't like the direction of the show anymore but I will watch the intro😕
Its not a "soft reboot" its called history progression.
I also love this episode I'm all in very excited for this season yes this could be the best TV show this year along with Better Call Saul
Did anyone else catch that it premiered on the Ides of March?
👍
really nice first episode!
marshawn Lynch was there so he won’t get fined
Two things I thought, One the Rico app is like Zion in the matrix series a form to control the criminal element run by the same AI running society. Second that the Meave scene was her waking up in the middle of her new loop in the park. So she's not there by her own plan, but from whoever reinstated her as a host and literally just awoke again with little idea whats going on and will move forward from there.
ah nice! Could well be, be amazing if they'd repurposed her somewhere else
She knows what's going on but those who reinstated her didn't.
I think Bernard is running from Dolores, but not before stealing Teddy's Pearl and has down loaded him into to his(Bernard) memory knowing Teddy wants to get away from Dolores as well.
i wish they had gone full cyberpunk though, but great episode 1
EVAN is just SO phenomenal !
I thought Teddy is in the Irish actor from uh Sons of Anarchy.
Awesome breakdown Sir 😎♥️👌
thanks Rohit
Thinking "I'd play a westworld game...🤔"
Then I remembered cyberpunk is on its way...
Smart home sequence reminded me of Mr.Robot....Mr.Robot did it!!
I think caleb is a host. Simply Cuz the mother says "your not my son"
And he says hes already been shot in the head.
I’m leaning toward the idea that Caleb’s repetitive awakening and habits are meant to indicate the similarities between the hosts and us rather than believing they’re in FutureWorld, but we’ll see.
This show is amazing. l agree that Teddy is in Hales body but I am kinda thinking he might be in Maves? the episode was amazing so pumped for the rest
Pulp's Common People was a highlight.
Or Jerry’s wife was a host bruh.... Dolores doesn’t want to save any human; It’s the simplest solution
Man, 1 episode in and I'm loving the reset of the series. More straightforward but definitely feel like we're gonna get slapped by a huge twist in the end.
I'm guessing that Teddy is in Flannegan
9:47 just wow.
