    I yesterday bought a 2011 g650gs. It is excellent bike and has single cylinder Rotax engine just like F650gs. Pure lovely bike and maybe the first gate of the BMW world. Thanks for this video and have fun. Greetings from Turkey.

      This is nice to hear! I am also looking for one with the rotax! I was told that only the buildyears from 2001 till 2008 had that motor! So i can widen my search! But first have to sell my r1200gs from 2016 ( unfortunately it s getting to heavy for me after a few health issues).have many good tours on your little gs!

      @@vogelwild382 I think you won’t be regret to choose single cylinder. It is very satisfied to use such a big bike as a commuter just like mid-range adventure bike.

    Great video man. I had a 2007 F650GS, hated that bike (extremely unreliable) and made me stay away from BMW. Years later I now own a R1150GS Adventure, absolutely love this bike.

    • @StromerYoutube
      @StromerYoutube  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! The 1150 is really underrated today...I had my "experience" with japanese bikes...2xKLEs and a VStrom 650, those were unreliable as hell. The VStrom burned more oil than my 1150 GS...

      Actually, yes! You have to restrict the bike by 2HP from 50 to 48. There's a restriction kit from a company in germany. I dont know how it's working out for greece though...In Austria and Germany, the lower power has to be written into the papers of the bike.(About 150€ fee to change that in austria)

    Hi! Do you think its a worthy bike to buy in 2023? I was looking to buy a 2006 2 spark version. Btw the fuel consumption is good as they say on the internet ? Ride safe 💪

    • @StromerYoutube
      @StromerYoutube  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's a solid bike. And yes the fuel consumption is insanely low. 3.3-4.5l/100km.

    • @nero14ful
      @nero14ful ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, I own a 2007 F650 GS Dakar with the 2 spark engine. I really love this bike. And yes, the fuel consumption is great. I can get the bike under 3l/100km, but even if I ride it hard it won't exceed 4,5l/100km. The 2 spark consumes around 0,5l less fuel than the single spark rotax (at least from my experience). For roads like in the video I would say the BMW is perfect.

      Those bikes are really reliable. I think as a first bike one of those would be great! Fuel consumption is 3.3-4.5l/100km. The older engines with single spark need a little bit more fuel than the new ones with two spark. (from ~2004 upwards)

    Does it vibrate hard on the road ? Is the ride comfy ? Can you do 200 km rides and not be all stiff & back broken ?

    • @StromerYoutube
      @StromerYoutube  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For a single cylinder bike it's actually pretty smooth! 200km rides, in one go, are no problem at all, as long as you avoid the highway a bit! It will get uncomfortable above 110-120kp/h, due to the lack of a 6th gear...

      Hello, it's me again, I'm a little worried about my motorcycle BMW F650 GS.
      You can check the oil level at the front of the glass (if you look at the motorcycle from the front then the right side) and you can't see any oil in my glass. Is it because the motorcycle is cold? Where is the oil level when the motorcycle is cold?
      Kind regards, Leo

    • @StromerYoutube
      @StromerYoutube  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@leonhard1911 Hi! Yea, you can only check the oil level on a hot engine with that bike! Over time some oil from the oiltank will drain down into the "oilpan". Since the glass is sometimes kinda hard to see through, just open the filler cap when you check the oil level.
