  • This video will give you a step-by-step guide on the measurements you may need to consider when purchasing aftermarket rims and tires for your 350z. We will also cover the easiest way to choose the proper offset for your big brake kit! I will be installing 18 x 9.5 +22 offset in the front and 18 x 10.5 + 22 offset in the rear!

    Those ESR wheels look sick on your silver 350Z! I'm surprised you didn't go with a stickier summer tire like the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, or the Continental Extreme Contact Sports?

      Needed all weather tires, we get a lot of rain 🌧 out here!!!

  • @nicholascortez7103
    @nicholascortez7103 ปีที่แล้ว

    Honestly, if you're interested in function, just get a wheel that is big enough to clear your brake rotors. That also allows you to run a thicker tire which makes you less likely to bend a rim when you hit a pot hole, and your ride quality is a little better. I bought the 18" Z1 ZM-23s in 18x9.5 +15 and 18x10.5 +25 with Falken Azenis FK510 in 245/40 ZR18 and 275/40 ZR18. The fitment is great. They look flush and clear my Z1 BBK (akebono 370z clone) brake calipers and 14"/13.8" rotors. I did roll my fenders for a little more clearance.

    Question for the hub ring did you go with the 73.10 - 54.1 or it doesn’t matter as long ass it’s 73.10 (hub bore size) ?

    • @Zspeed
      @Zspeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got the wrong size ( I think I got 74.1-72.6) to small. So I would recommend that you contact ESR or what ever company your rims are from and ask them for the exact size hub ring you'll need! That's what I'll be doing next! Thanks so much for watching!

  • @Omgosh98

    Did you get new tire pressure sensors on the new wheels? If not , does the dash light just stay on or can you override it ?

    • @Zspeed
      @Zspeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My 350z did not come with the tire pressure sensors, check with your local Nissan dealer for their recommendations on what to do with aftermarket rims and tire pressure sensors and thanks so much for watching!

    • @Quidproquo07093
      @Quidproquo07093 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't have the sensors installed on my aftermarket wheels. When I found out Nissan would charge me to program them to my car, I said PASS!! The light blinks for about a minute or so, then just stays on. I got used to it.

    Does anyone know if I run 255/40/18 front and 285/40/18 rear what negative aspects could I have? Right now currently it’s on stock suspension but I will plan to lower it. Another big concern of mine is that if I go w these set of wide tires how much of “acceleration” will I lose since they’re a bit wider than stock.

    • @Zspeed
      @Zspeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most people run 245/40/ in the front and 275/40/18 in the rear, you may have some rubbing in the front with 255/40/18! This should not have a significant impact on your acceleration! Thanks so much for watching!!

    • @Quidproquo07093
      @Quidproquo07093 ปีที่แล้ว

      I went with the same width and offset as in this video, but I got 19 inch wheels. I'm wearing 255/35/19 in the front and 285/35/19 in the rear, and had a slight rub in the rear at "stock height", but no rub in the front. The width of the tire does not affect acceleration, tire circumference and unsprung weight do, so if you choose wheels that are lighter than stock you should offset any additional weight due to the fatter tire.

    • @J.Y_Z33
      @J.Y_Z33 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Quidproquo07093 I actually went with the 255 and 275. I didn’t run into any rubbing issues which was great. Of course I needed to roll the fenders. So far it’s been holding alright, I haven’t seen anything wild.

    Just found your channel I just bought a 350z with 19’ rims idk exactly the specs and I do hear rubbing but I don’t see where it’s rubbing at the front is 245/40/19 and the rear is 275/40/19 I want to change the rims and go for a bit of a stretch not to much with a 19’ rim still thinking if I should go staggered or square but don’t know what tire sizes to get for the small stretched look

    • @Zspeed
      @Zspeed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I love the staggered look, but that's more of a personal preference thing! As far as going with some stretch, my tire setup is about as far as you should go! So just a little stretch might be something like 235/40/19 front and 255/40/19 rear! Thanks so much for watching!
