    Currently on T7 TS5 18x9.5 45 275/35 ADVAN V601 on Swifts and no fender modifications yet. Only rubs a tiny bit on really really big dips or bumps 🤙🏼

    Great info man. Thank you. Want to get your recommendation. I don't intend to lower my fk8 nor want to get camber kit for it if I don't have to. Fk8 bone stock and intend to keep it that way. All I want is 18 inch volks without any rubbing and don't want to make any modification like fender rolling or trimming. What's the safest way? 18.95+45 tire size 255/40r18 (same diameter as stock) or 265/35r18? I don't want any chance of rubbing even when car is fully loaded. I don't mind if wheels spoke out a little.

    Awesome video! Currently been debating on getting Swift springs but with my current wheel setup I'm not sure if I'll rub. Currently on 18x8.5 35 offset with Michelin Sport A/S 255/40. Stock cambers and ideally no modifications (cutting, etc). What are your thoughts?

    • @maganamfg
      @maganamfg  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had 18x8.5 +40 with 265 tires I never rub. Having 255 you won’t rub with swift springs. If interested in a set of springs message me on instagram to place an order via my website. Thanks

  • @raidersperez1278
    @raidersperez1278 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m on 255/40/18 with 9.5+45. Lowered an inch all around. I had 265/35 but had horrible mpg and the Speedo was of. With 255/40 Speedo is correct and way better mpg and also more comfortable but I do rub in the rear. Currently doing research on where and how to trim but I can’t find any thing good. I only rub in one spot and I don’t want to trim because I’m scared it’ll cut my tire and I also don’t want to trim the whole fender because that’s where the wide body flare hangs on to. I also installed camber arms because my 265/35s were done from the inside in only 33k miles but the outer half was still more than half.

    • @maganamfg
      @maganamfg  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s odd you are now having issues with rubbing, it mostly has to do with a taller tire. Next time jack the car you will see where it’s rubbing (probably on the metal side) near the outer tire. Is it only when you go over bumps? Also does it happen on R mode?

    • @maganamfg
      @maganamfg  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have that same setup with 265. I have ran 3 different 265 and all were different width. Ao52 I did rub a lot more than the other tires. So take that in consideration when ppl say a 275 fits. A 200TW 265 is much wider than some 275 tire. A 275 will need for sure fenders cut. A 265 may just need the front fender bent tab.

    Can you talk more about the Federals? Thinking about a budget set up for my CTR. Thinking Super Speed wheels (not sure exactly what design yet) 18x9.5 et38 and Federal 595 RS-RR 265/35. Have heard they run extremely wide and even recall a guy on the forums running a 255/35 which still looked meaty, so would definitely consider that if need be. Will also be lowered on Swift springs. The car is a daily so will see rain, can the Federals be driven in the rain (safely)? They seem R888’ish which I’ve heard are downright scary in the wet. Thanks man!

    • @maganamfg
      @maganamfg  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I use to have federal RSRR Pros on my fk8,
      265/35 they do run wide but not as wide as RE71rs or A052.
      They may rub in the back if car is loaded with stuff.
      For the rain both my s2k and Fk8 have had them and at least here in California for freeway driving I felt comfortable at 60mphs. I wouldn’t drive them if I knew my streets gets a lot of stagnant water or heavy puddles.
      Hope this helps!

      @@maganamfg Awesome, I greatly appreciate the reply man. Worst case I can always have the shop that I go to “trim” the rear fenders but apparently, per your video, that isn’t necessarily a simple process like rolling a fender. You have to know what you’re doing from the sounds of it.

      If you go +35 I’d say don’t go more than a 255 width.
      It all depends on your rim spoke design, worse case can add a 5/10mm spacer.
