you got the fk7 axles to work with si trans? also good shit, getting si trans for same price. i spent $400 for trans and $700 for lsd

I bought axles with the trans but i think all you would really need is the driver side axle the passenger side seemed the same to me maybe the si were a lil bit thicker but cant recall but it works lol

@ the si axles have different spline count, reason i mention my question. maybe you go lucky

@@maganamfg sorry i was having a brainfart yes the splines from hatch axle to si trans are different driver side but im pretty sure now i wanna go and double check but the hatch passenger side worked with the si trans because the jack shafts were identical

@maganamfg I'm also looking at possibly sourcing the engine and trans locally. Trans needs to be 2016-2021 6MT, correct? What about the engine? Can other variants of the L15 be used such as other L15B's or even L15C's?

@@maganamfg Yep, I was planning to get the axles and maybe some other bits and pieces from GroupN. I can do the work on the LSD myself as well as the head studs on the engine if needed. Just thinking about options to save a bit on shipping a whole palate from Cali to Denver. Thoughts on the other L15 engines?

been sold for awhile, not sure what happen to this specific car

the head wasn’t perfectly flat, typically a gasket may compensate for it but the head warpness was more than expected in one corner. By machining the head you get a flat surface again offering a perfect seal between the block and head.

Again a silly question sorry. Just curious. Is this normal or was something wrong that caused the head to to warp?

l15 does have head gasket, clutch issues typically but it can be easily resolved with proper upgraded parts. Wouldn’t recommend more than 300hp stock internals

265/35 would look much better, the +40 tire will sit to high imo. a052 run a lot wider than cup2, both will be fine at stock height. cup2 should last longer than the a052 if that’s a consideration

a052 also come in 265/35

yes +45 would sit more inwards so wouldn’t rub. no rubbing with a 265.

@ should I get a 18x9.5 +45 with a advan A052 265/40R18 or Michelin cup 2 265/35R18. Like which is gonna have a more clean fitment without rubbing on stock height. I know the 265/35 won’t rub but what about the 265/40?

i am pushing about 385whp, used the oem ngk iridium plugs.

stock height you don’t have issues with a +35

hello, depend on your selection of wanting lsd, upgraded Clutch, specific parts powder coated, carb legal version or a performance race setup parts + labor $14-16k for 230-280hp depending on mod selection. only items not included is a bigger inlet pipe $400, intake manifold $400 or a bigger turbo $1300+ If wanting a built motor that’s about $10k on top, fuel system $2k

hey yes i have posted a previous video me driving my ek if check 2/3 videos back, it’s similar to a k24 swap. Currently my intercooler is lowest point, sits a tad lower than a spoon style front lip. oil pan is tucked higher.
