Not working for me. Still getting E04 when trying to raise it after a reset. But mine moves a little. And if I keep tapping little by little, I can raise it without getting the error. It’s only when I keep up or down pressed longer, the error appears after 2 inches or so of movement. Same if I set a g height in memory, then little by little move away from that height for more than a couple of inches, when I press the memory button it errors after a couple of inches
Eventually I had to contact the manufacturer for a new control unit, as mine kept showing the E04 after calibration too. They sent me a new one. One other thing it could be is, that the table might not be level. There's a G sensor in there, kind of like in the cell phone, that checks for level. Cheers!
@@TomsDoItYourself thanks so much for this! I was testing my desk after moving and kept getting E04 because I hadn’t mounted the control box yet, just had it dangling. Wouldn’t have guessed in a million years that it was because the control box wasn’t perfectly level!
My desk is Glas. I’m trying to replace the control box. I move all the screws and still the glass have to be removed and I can’t remove it. Please let me know if you have any ideas.
I have a different table, and different controller - BUT this worked! I LOVE TH-cam! Way to go, American guy in Germany!! :-)LOL LOL - well, the FIRST time it worked! Now, even your fix doesn't work. It's like AI has taken over and is just screwing with me! LOL
After a while it didn't work for me either, and I needed to contact the company for a new controller module, which fixed the problem. There's sensors inside that detect whether the table is level, and I think they might get wonky. But just to be sure, take a level, and double check that your table is level.
I'm at work, and no one tells you these things. Different brand, but it's all generic. Worked fantastical!
This was the only video that worked for me! Thanks! I don’t know what brand mine is. Our buttons didn’t even look the same, but the fix fixed it!!!
Glad it helped!
