All the terrible sequels and unwanted reboots that Hollywood has made over the decades and we somehow haven't received a sequel to this outstandingly fun movie
Imagine a sky high series
Movie is better than series.
@@baotrannguyenngoc9964 Nah, series are far better. Character development, more time to flesh out the material, movies are too short.
@@lottonthewizard4352 yes indeed especially when inspired by long-ass story books
Bc sequels r hated no matter how good they r
I love how Warren was able to put his personal feelings aside and focus on saving the citizen and doing his job. Signs of an actual hero in who we were led to believe would be the ultimate villian.
His name is a reference to the fact one of his parents is a superhero and the other a super villain.
Warren peace
War and peace.
@@diegopinon5275omg that's genius, never woulda thought about that before
I always interpreted it as “War on peace”

"Remember when they used to use real citizens?"
Really makes you wonder just how horrific the superhero culture was back then.
They drop cars on students to determine their powers…
@@joeymagdelone3705not on all on all them. Just the ones who have strength powers. Still terrible.
@MagisterMittens very true.
this school has to be funded by vought

A rare footage of One For All and Endeavor before they become the heroes they are.
I understood that reference!
....you might be on to something
You mean All Might?
@@jexelbur6872One for all is the real hero
To me it felt like Izuku and Todoroki.
At 3:11 I died when Peace just tosses the mannequin doll like "alright I saved you, get off of me"
Citizen: My her- AH! (Smack) Ow…
Same.😂🤣
Bashing people at super speed: Fine.
Creating a vacuum to literally suffocate another student: Fine.
Burns your clothes a little: *Hey, thats a FOUL!!!*
Right like how is using your powers in a training exercise a foul.
To be fair, the ref didn’t agree. He let it continue.
This is like the a soccer player’s equivalent to feigning injury when another player lightly taps them
Thing is that guy was a villain in the actual movie. Being a hypocrite is par for the course.
@@pon3d120Yeah, he was just being a sore loser.
I just really enjoy the concept that superhero highschool gym class involves them actually practicing rescue scenarios, lol.
You know any more glass face scenes like that ? 😂😂
I mean , saving people is the main part of the job
What is crazy is they use real people before in the past wonder if some had to sign forms incase they get turn into smoothie or horrible ways to die
Warren's true character was shown in this scene. He focused on saving the citizen and even got angry at Will for not paying attention. He already had the qualities of a real hero and was never going to follow in his father's footsteps
When i watched this movie, i remember i was naive to ask why would anyone want to be a villain. And now i am enlightened. Plus it’s nice to see Ego continue to have an ego.
Well, that's actually an issue that goes way back, and is a central theme in a lot of stories, including the gritty as all get out Lone Wolf and Cub. The MC, Ogami, does praise the samurai-like ( i.e. virtuous) behaviour in non-samurai. Basically, in the past, if you were an elder son of a noble family, you were a hero-to-be. Everyone else was a lesser/loser, who just couldn't rise to the same levels of greatness you might rise to.
Its pretty cool that, from the point the clock starts in the scene, there's exactly 3 minutes left in the scene.
Actually the scene with timer part lasts for about 2+ mins only.
To this day idk if they partnered stronghold with peace because they thought it’d be a challenge or if it was to make their teamwork conflict.
Teamwork conflict.
Also trolling
I love how speed made a vacuum depriving Warren of Oxygen so he cant breathe or produce fire. They should use that in marvel or dc where a speedster does this?
The Flash TV show uses is a lot. Mostly to put out fires!
he should use this in combat in the comics or cartoons. or someone against Human torch@@asterierrantry
It has been done before, multiple times.
Zoom vs Killer Frost
Flash CW show
Etc
Superman did this to a guy who used magic via spoken incantation to prevent him from finishing a spell one time.
gotta have a speedster in the MCU thats faster than bullets first though.
The fact that students would always choose to be the villain in a school for heroes is a major red flag.
Is just a roleplay. It just happen that these guys were jerks.
2:54 i like how the stretchy guy goes from being tied up in a ball to facing perfectly against the glass and the post he was tied to is like cut in 2 or 3 places
You know any more glass face scenes like that ? 😂😂
It's obvious that Speed and Lash would choose to play villains because they really are villains
Honestly, this whole game's existence is a bit...questionable. The villains have fewer objectives they have to accomplish than the heroes, so it's inherently easier for them to win. Kinda incentivizes the players to be villains....not the best message for high-schoolers lol
@@leonkuwata4510 um that’s kind of the point, dude. This whole exercise is meant to simulate what a hero vs villain battle might be like. In most villain vs hero scenarios the villain has to keep the hero from foiling their plans pretty much by any means necessary while the hero can have a few specific things to do in order to stop the villains. This is an accurate portrayal is what I’m saying.
If you want proof look no further that actual hero and villain battles in movies and TV. In Avatar the last airbender when Azula and her gang were about to invade Ba Sing Se with a giant drilling machine. Azula’s team just had to try and stop team avatar from damaging their drill while team avatar had to do a number of things in order to stop Azula’s team from succeeding.
When you grow up you want to be a villain. These guys didn’t so they were just bad guys. 😂😂. Like the difference between a villain and a supervillain.
@@leonkuwata4510More of the opposite really. In competitive stuff rarely you want to be the guy with the handicap
@@C4lmariaBut the point for this exercise is for education not outright competition though. Heroes having to accomplish goals at a disadvantage is commonplace in the profession this school specializes in, being a hero. Turning disadvantage to advantage is the goal.
This film really deserves a sequel
Holy shot Bruce Campbell and one third of the Kids in the Hall? I might have to watch this!
And Farva from Super Troopers!
Linda Carter too.
This movie is pretty good! Have a good time watching if you end up deciding to.
"Remember when we used to use real citizens"
😂 Lol this takes place in The Boys universe
18 years prior to the school cafeteria brawl between Will Stronghold and Warren Peace, their uncles Jerry Mitchell and Buddy Revell had a conventional fight at the parking lot in 3 o’clock High (1987)
Can you give some more context? Sounds like something worth watching
@@rafsoloIts an 80's movie about a school fight at the end of the day. There are a lot of motifs in the movie that play as an old timey western. Instead of the duel at high noon, the fight happens at three o'clock. Definitely a recommended watch. If you do watch pay attention to the opening sequence at the start of the school day and the end credits which represents the end of the day.
@@L1ntaur what's the movie called?

Warren Peace was the BEST CHARACTER to me, a badass with a badasd power. He would definitely grow up to be an Anti-Hero 😊
The janitor my favorite character so underrated
It's ironic that Speed and Lash always wanted to be villains. No teacher put too much thought into why
- Next round! Wayne, Kent! You're in! Who will be your opponents?

This movie needs a sequel.
FIRED UP! 🔥 1:38
This could of easily blown up the way my hero academia did
Too early and under budget. If the project launched later with a bigger budget it would be on part 8, with a 6 season tv show.
Of all the stupid unneeded sequels and reboots of movies and tv shows…
Why not actually take a movie like Sky High which could have great potential for a tv show or sequel?
I've always thought Sky High would work best as a TV show. However, when Disney bought Marvel, I think that killed any chances of that ever happening.
@@colinpreston80I doubt it. They made Incredibles II years after buying Marvel. So it would not stop them from a continuation of the movie.
Flames need oxygen. You know what also needs oxygen? PEOPLE
"Remember when we used to use real citizens?" is still the funniest dark line in the movie.
Basically My Hero Academia's live action even before the manga released
This confirms that flash could defeat Human Torch, or firestorm. Take notes dc or marvel with the Speed creating a vacuum against Warren
I knew the comic book geeks will be flabbergasted by that tactic method and quickly expanded it into their pallete world of superheroes battles.😂
Idk about firestorm because it is more about releasing energy, not fire specifically. Like trying to stop a nuclear bomb in a way.
Firestorm isn't really just "Fire". He is more about Transmutation than anything else

A young avengers training montage of this similar to the one from x-men, would be fun; Shuri black Panther, spider man, skaar, ms marvel, & Cassie lang.
I found this movie because of Danielle Panabaker who plays Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost in series "The Flash"
Think its funny Will had a soft spot to save warren first instead of the citizen, but saving the citizen would just end the game meaning speed would have to stop suffocating him anyway 😂
Speed and Lash are the Bulk and Skull of Sky High.
I want the sky high universe to be real so bad.
Always nice to have Bruce Campbell.

Michael Angarano And Steven Strait Vs Jake Sandvig And Will Harris
Why the hell would Speed and Lash pick Warren Peace to be one of their opponents? Lol a hot tempered guy with fire as his super power is not exactly someone you want fighting against you 😆
Arrogance
It was to force bad teamwork to win the bet. They are at odds thanks to the fight and all.
@@BlackDiamond2718 that actually makes sense. Essentially making your enemies fight amongst themselves to make it easier to defeat them, since they wouldn’t be able to work together as a team

I need a sequel to this movie, being the college (Gen V gave me those vibes, but I think sky high 2 would be better)
1:47 moments like this are so important. The sidekick teacher has a friend in the Leader over there.
Only now did I realize that Bruce Campbell is the coach
I used to think Warren Peace was the coolest student at Sky High as a kid. I’m a 22 year old adult and I still think Warren Peace is the coolest student at Sky High 😂
Wait is that redhead Caitlin Snow from the Flash?
Yep. Danielle Panabaker.
Now that I’m older I feel more like peace🔥
It's funny that the fat guy was a speedster. You'd think he'd burn enough calories to be skinny
Seen something like that from Marvel. They used to have a thing called New Universe which was separate from the main Marvel Universe with Spider-Man, Ironman, Thor, etc. The main premise of this series was that it was like our world, until one day a flash of light engulfed the world and people sporadically started developing various super powers.
One such person was a guy named Jeff Walters who was originally an overweight fast food worker but as soon as his powers activated (super speed), he shredded through calories and became skinny. Interestingly enough, this character is now in the main universe after his universe was destroyed so he actually is in the same world as Spider-Man despite initially being separate.
Still mad that this never got a sequel
The My Hero Live adaptation looking nice. High hopes for this one!😂😂😂
That tall chick that became the villain was one of my biggest crush. God damn she is soo fine
Never realized back then, but yeah
“Oh my god. I made out with an old lady.” 😂
I just remembered the fat guy was the speed guy which tickles me to no end.
So, we have a Mr Fantastic, a human Torch and a Thing. If the speed guy had invisibility powers instead, we'd have had a full fantastic four. Stretchiness, flame powers and increased strength and durability. So close!
Nice seeing all might and endeavour actually being friends for oncd
