Says that samsung phone is really bright. Can't even see it under the thin layer of coke... Z5 was shining all the way though. I think I should switch to Z5 after this. Also it may have seem like the audio was better on the sony??

well this review sucks. you poured the soda on Sony first yet you took out the Samsung before the Sony. you are biased against Sony. you were drying the Samsung longer than Sony. And really bright display on the Samsung? please. I couldn't even see a tint of light when it was submerged under the soda plus Sony wins with the volume and camera. My quick tip for you if you continue to make reviews, make sure that you keep it fair and not so biased. Sony obviously wins this round.

Uhm, "Sony phones get damaged easily" I've been with Sony for about 5 years now and gone through two different phones and they have gone through hell, dropped from really high too etc, and it was perfectly fine. Sony is great.

The amount of bias against the xperia phone made me cringe, they know waterproofing better than any other manufacturer and have one of the best if not the best construction quality

I have the Sony Xperia z5 rn but had the z1 before this and I always used it while swimming etc, taking pics under water lol (even tho in manual it says do not use in chlorine or salt water) and I never had any bubbles in my camera lol. I'm a huge Xperia fan. I'm sticking with it :) also u can drop it 1000 times and the screen doesn't crack. My brother has the Samsung s7 edge, dropped it one time and screen got broken.. So in that area Sony Def wins.. Maybe he should do a test like that too.. Drop em from different Heights and see how the phone takes it, cause seriously the Xperia z5 seems indestructible to me lol it even flew outta my car window one time.. While driving.. No scratch to be seen..
lol Sony was making waterproof phones, before even, Galaxy S3 was introduced to the market! Not saying Xperia is Better than S7.....but it does stand up to its reputation with previous waterproof devices.

The Xperia Z5 is not meant to be put in carbonated drinks. It's Ip classifications is for fresh water 1.5 metres deep for 30 minutes. It is also able to get sprayed by semy high pressure watersprays. All this as long as the covers are closed correctly

Since long time ago and till now, no other brands can beat Sony's sound system and camera. Plus, sony hp is the first waterproof smartphone. Sony never produced its handphone like Samsung did, produced one after another with a small differences in the specifications.

you don't do a review of this type when you are a fan of a specific brand. Just so you know xperia z5 has a built in screen recording function while for every samsung you need root access to do that.

He’s definately a Samsung guy. He leaves the z5 in longer and doesn’t wipe it off as well. He doesn’t even try and remove any residual liquid from the z5 speaker/charger port. Maybe you should have put the S7 up against another Samsung. Unbiased tests are always more reliable.

Xperia Z5 won for me.. you kept it in there for 10mins 44secs.. and it was so clear the coke levels were not the same. Z5's level was higher.

I put my S7 to a serious test by taking it to a local Waterpark and keeping it my pocket the 3 and a half hours i was there, I was never fully submerged more than a few minutes at a time but by the end it was very sluggish and one point the touch screen and call speaker didn't work at all and the bottom speaker sounded extremely distorted. 30 minutes out of water the touch screen and call speaker worked fine but it took about 4 hours for the bottom speaker to go back to normal and almost a full day for the charging to work correctly, several hours after when I would try to plug it in it wouldn't charge because moisture was detected. I won't be doing that again.

for what I know sony was one if not the first making the water resistant/proof technology in the smartphone industry...sony is the best in terms of that...xperia z was already water resistant while the other was still not applying that technology

I went swimming for over and hour with my z2 took videos and pictures under water and all. but water eventually got into it. I'm guessing because I did bang it and drop it a few times under the water. and I got a z3 after that and my phone fell out of my car onto the side step and cracked the corner and fell into a creek. (really bad luck) now I have a z5. it's good to know if you drop it in water or something and the screens not cracked and the rubber battery charger port is clean and sealed it will still work. p.s
not going to swim with my phones anymore.

More you have MP, more the picture will be big but only the size will change, the aperture change the angle of view. The pic are brighter (night photo too) and you can see more things in the pictures with a smaller aperture like f/1.7
So it's your choice, i would go for f/1.7 but f/1.9 is not bad at all
