One of the things I love about Magnus; He genuinely likes showing people climbing techniques, I have never seen him try to do anything to boost his ego. People ask him to do what he is good at and he seems nothing but embarrassed when they are shocked. He knows he is good. He obviously does not anyone to feel inadequate at what they are accomplishing though. It's akin to cheering someone on that couldn't lift a very low weight but gets a new PB at a weight just slightly higher. Whether you can do more then them should not be in the equation. (unless it's a competition obviously)
Magnus is a pretty cool dude. Watched him for a while now and he is seemingly just a nice person. Like he is super humble, is very happy to help and is just pleasant and polite. Plus he sticks to a wall like a gecko covered in super glue.
Best climbers usually tend to be light and medium height. Too tall means extra weight and burning out quicker. Thats my issue climbing at 6ft 4. Gotta be explosive and quick before you pump xD
@@AstrumG2V Adam ondra is skinny as hell though. Of course there are exceptions. For example Chris Sharma is pretty stacked. Stefı could you please make a video on strength training for climbers?! I'm so confused with hypertrophy, strength, power exercises. I'm starting to get obsessed with weights but I don't want to compromise my climbing by messing up my strength/weight ratio. We need to know the science behind it!! (Not only for boulderers but multi-pitch endurance climbers as well!)
Climbing is a totally different movement “language” than what you guys are used to. Magnus is a native speaker and you guys are like level 1. You should invite Magnus out to Hybrid and teach him how to powerlift! Juji and Tom tried but he could use a REAL coach!
We could think the strong people videos as an "cinematic" universe, i mean there a Magnus's video with Stefi in the same place but here we watch all from Stefi's POV. It's funny.
watching any videos with climbing trying to live vicariously because of the covid shutdown. Can't wait until this is all over and I can climb again. Just gotta try and be patient.
Yeah, kinda just climb and eventually you fall unexpectedly and you realize your still alive and not hurt at all (mats). Then you realize its not so bad and super fun :D
It would be funny to see his deadlift, but I would be very interested in lifts that would help a climber. finger strength, core, back, maybe an idea for a video or two. Siempre dicen que sos una doctora, pero una doctora en que diciplina?

Arguably the strongest climber right now, pound for pound, is Alex Megos. Dude is insane strong for this sport. A few years back when doing some testing he was able to pull something like 1.5-ish his body weight....with one hand. He doesn't have the highest number grade but I consider him to be the the best in the world.
@@YTho-ev1ej In his competitive years Magnus was insanely strong as well, arguably one of the strongest climbers, perharps even too strong, to the point that he relied on it too much rather than technique/problem solving in competitions.
Hahahahaha hahahahaha Tom has to be the funniest improve guy on the planet 😂😂 “do I look like a 70s Argentinian futbol player” “I like when your quad goes out from the rest of your body, what do you call this? Thigh cleavage” hahahahaha
You guys are great! Thank you for joining me😀
@3:45 Magnus, isnt the most important of climbing taking your shirt off?
@@MrJarastamon I have to try the technique Anton showed him.
@@FryingPan76 it was too good..I'll be trying it too xD

“I feel assaulted by his pants.” Lol
And she was wearing leggings. Wtf
10:35 he didn't even put his shoes on fully
thats his way of disrespecting them
@@LORDwalii It's not disrespect.
@@LORDwalii cause he's magnus the great
It hurts to have them put on all the time, he was just resting the toes.
To put his shoes on would be like Stefi using straps for a really light weight bar. It was just unnecessary, nothing else.

Joe Sheppard that was me! Haha

15:58 Anton here :)
Magnus hasn't climbed without a shirt. Not his final form.
got to love Magnus, seems like such a nice guy and an amazing climber
"you're compact and athletic, you got this"
ten seconds later magnus debunks it like
"yeah it's definitely better on these to be tall and light"

Maybe it would matter at grades above v5-v6 but anyone relatively fit can get up to there
