You're totally right, dude. The first NFS I ever played was NFSII SE. That was the most awesome game I played till the moment! And I was like 7 or 8 years old. Then, one friend of mine, showed me NFSIII. I liked it but I still wanted to play NFSII. After, he showed me NFS Most Wanted and I thought it was a motorbike game, so, I told him: -No, thanks. I want NFSII. And untill these days, I'm trying to get that mythical NFS. And now I am 15 years.

You obviously don't realize how ridiculously arcadeish this game is compared to even the most arcade racing game nowadays? Games nowadays have 10x more cars, 10x more tracks and 100x more customizability than NFS IV has. And even the most arcade racing game has WAY better physics that NFS. Even if they would remaster it the sales would never make a return on the investment spent to remaster. NFS was a great racing game at its time, but that time was 25 years ago. It's ancient by now.
@@floatingchimney Arcade racing games now are shit. Forza is filled with ads, nfs is a fucking joke, and burnout is dead. While you praise trash, people who actually enjoy videogames will play what they want and won't listen to dumbasses who think old = bad. The only hope for people who enjoy ACTUAL arcade racers and not some sanitized, boring experience like you are independent developers who emulate what old games did and improve upon it. High Stakes was great 25 years ago, and it's still a better experience than having to play Unbounded or Heat, games you'd wait until they're like $7 at Black Friday because that's practically what they're worth.
@@floatingchimney Yeah but they are tuners. What would you rather drive, a Ferrari F50, Lamborghini Diablo SV and La Nina prototype, or, a Honda Civic, a Ford F150 pickup and BMW M5. It's not even close. Also, the tracks are way better in the old games. Driving through/under an aquarium? Where is that now. It's just flat tracks and countryside and boring roads.
hmm these songs they have for racing games these days in my opinion arent as good as what they used to be like how they have lots of rap songs in some of the newer racing games ugh well ill just say this you know how this song is called bring that beat back well thats exactly what they need to do is bring that beat back.
Is it normal I have this playing in the background while watching Mika Hakkinen around Silverstone in '99? Probably not but I would recommend to anyone for a real '99 experience gives me a real adrenaline feeling!
Good luck on getting your new PS3 :D I'd wish I could buy one but I'm a PC gamer, so I will always play the PC versions of the games. AiI have High Stakes as well but I don't play it never. It's because I prefer to play NFS with newer cars, like the Agera, my favourite one, and because I'm addicted to NFS World also. One of these days I gotta put my hands on High Stakes again...
Yeah! They're more interested in attracting new fans not familiar with the first NFS games for a good profit, making games of a worse quality that just fit the market niche.
Add JDM/muscle cars, tuning, free roam, totally legal circuit and everything you want, but when a race game got bad driving experience with only that brake-to-drift thing, you can´t call it a Need for Speed.
Bring the Beat back indeed. Bring this kind of soundtrack back! xD

This track gives me the chills.

BRING THAT BEAT BACK
High Stakes is the best NFS game ever made. The newer ones are fun and all, but High Stakes is the only which I'll always enjoy playing.
That's cuz all of the cars in the game were naturally asperated. Pure engine power no turbos except the 911 turbo
Also the soundtrack is the best
Yeah, high stakes 1 and 2 were good too but with nfs underground they ruined the saga
Same here
Thank you for you work.
I Really appreciate it.
And Thanks for the Download link.
Rom Di Prisco is awesome.
Loving this tune man! oldschool DNB and the heat up on your tail playing NFS HS Back in 99' Great!
Esa rola está genial, gracias por subirla me trajo buenos recuerdos! XP
This game deserves to be remastered.
With full/long version of original tracks like this :-)

I love racing the McLaren F1 GTR longtail with the fully tuned Ferrari f50 on expert traffic on. It's tough but I've won a few times
I feel you bro...
the best song of the game and the best game of the ps one
Agostini
Essa música da muita adrenalina
Sim, era brabo demais
E eu ficava zuando essa música "e briga, é briga é briga, vem cá" kkkkk mlk eu era

Never been a remix and there never will be :P

0:51 Bring That Beat back
Top :D
I cant share it in facebook
Upgraded Cool Blue Ferrari 550 Maranello hauling fucking ass down night time durham road and celtic ruins. ❤
@eddwiux Nope, NFS Porsche has it's own soundtrack. Great one as well.
Ah yes, the baby song
Haha, be careful, because folks from Criterion might be all over it just the next day and turn it into another Burnout High Stakes.
Is this foreshadowing for nfs to bring back electronic music?
kinda wish there was a way to put this track in pc version. just this and globular cluster being the playstation exclusive makes me sad
Am I crazy or is that a Dream On (Aerosmith) sample?
play it!
so nfs: porche unleashed took all the songs from nfs 4?
''12 years ago"" 1999
I hope I won't forget about the speed limit...
I hope they aren't. Since NFS is the same since 2003, I think EA and Criterion gotta stop making more NFS. They do what THEY want, not what WE want.
Bring Big Mac 😏
