2:18 sure brings back fond memories of being in a Murciélago going 200+ MPH down a highway, being chased by Federal Cruisers and dodging Rhino roadblocks and spike strips. One of my favorite things to do end game was to have not only the top of every rap sheet category, but to have it all in a single pursuit that counted as the most impressive for every category. I would always get to heat level 5 and escape, make sure to save my game, and then go piss off the cops, that way at least I could start at the highest (outside of the end of the game and the final challenge) heat rating and immediately start getting spike strips and stuff, everything in the game that I need for the rap sheet. The Murciélago was always great for this due to its high weight and having a wedge shaped front end, often scooping beneath roadblocks rather than just directly ramming them (which, granted, could often happen and result in a flip, but that's just the risk you always take when ramming shit). I would always stick to the big, long, open highway that circles around the starting area of the game, and could usually get all the top rap sheet requirements and survive in one go, maybe two if I was unlucky and flipped somewhere (always in the last ten minutes, I swear). But pretty much, just survive for 30 minutes and fuck a lot of shit up along the way, and you should have virtually every requirement, and if you don't, it won't take but a couple minutes more to have it. And then I'd usually just mosey over to the bus station and escape. Such great memories of the game. The races were kind of busted and frustrating due to the rubber banding, but the police chases were a lot of fun to do.
There is some truth to this. Cars like the Punto and the Cobalt (always my starter car) are terrible against roadblocks, and for the longest time I just kind of ignored cars like this for pursuits, but in recent months, I've been finding that having a ton of grip is just as useful for pursuits as a heavy car that can easily smash through roadblocks. The problem with most cars is, you hit a roadblock and flip, or who knows what happens, and you end up surrounded by nine police cars INSTANTLY and can't do anything because your car has no grip. And I'm finding, surprisingly, that you end up surviving a lot longer with a car that has lots of grip and can very quickly get traction when something happens. The ability to hook up and go is a very important thing, and I'm surprised how easy it is to rack up a giant bounty with a car like a Cobalt, despite the fact that basically every roadblock considerably slows you down. I'd go as far as to say a light car with really good grip is actually better for a pursuit than a heavy car with no grip at all. Which was not my way of thinking at all for the longest time. I will also add, the stadium in Rosewood (not the one in the city) is a great way to escape cops if you don't want to use the bus station, because there's two pursuit breakers in a long stretch where cops will nicely funnel into. Drive right on through both, slowing down in front of each and get as many cops as possible near you to disable a crap ton of them, and then loop by through the parking lot, and there's a hiding spot right there next to the highway. More often than not, you'll escape, and rack up a lot of bounty very quickly.
I used BMW M3 GTR for rap sheet completion. Took advantage of a unique characteristic of The Final Pursuit: no evade. That way, no need to worry accidentally entering cooldown; just drive around Highway 201. Unfortunately, more caution required at Challenge Series 68 as evade is still possible.
Smart. And the nice thing about the final pursuit is, you can restart at any time should something happen. My only complaint about that is the M3 GTR. It has such a lackluster nitro meter compared to other cars, you use it for like a second and it's gone, and nitro is crucial for surviving when something happens and you wind up going real slow and need to pick up a lot of speed fast to not get boxed in by nine Federal Cruisers immediately. But very possible, nonetheless. Here some months back, I survived for an hour in the final pursuit with the M3 GTR and had a $64,000,000 just in the one pursuit...though the game promptly froze on me when I tried to approach the bridge to end the game, sending me into an unbelievable fit of rage.

Man, everything about Most Wanted's soundtrack was PHENOMENAL. The pursuit themes changing on what you're doing is a feature that we're probably not going to get ever again, but it's so cool to see! Speed on, Rockport racers!
What about Rivals? The pursuit music is intense as fuck and the cops are literally deadly and tanky as shit, they show no mercy and annihilate you everywhere in the county
@@ralphlorenzperolino3054 Litteraly any need for speed after this one and Carbon are not as apealing to me. I dont like any need for speed after this one and carbon. To much camera movement while driving and hitting stuff, and they dont feel good for me while driving. Plus music is bad.
@@metaldragon4512 Are you fucking kidding me? Despite being your opinion I'm here to criticize you. Music is bad? Are you for real? Rivals' soundtrack is underrated lmfao, hard EDM was a thing in the Black Box era games, which is really fitting for badass races. Rivals did that, and after Rivals they've gone down which is really disappointing. Look at Unbound's soundtrack, it's absolutely bad as hell. Same goes to Heat but it had good songs. From Underground to Rivals, the soundtracks we're literally good. 2015 was decent, so I'd give it a pass. Payback was average, Heat was meh, and Unbound? It's a different story. Unbound's soundtrack doesn't have genre variety which consists of nonsense music that Criterion added, which are Arabic and German rap, vulgar hiphop, Latino music which doesn't even make any sense, and mellow songs that came from Tiktok. Rivals' soundtrack was on another level because of the genre variety. Sure it didn't have rock music like Most Wanted did, but it did have hard Electro House tracks in which they are literally fitting for adrenaline pumping races. You can even press your Turbo whenever the beat drops similar to Decadence. And you call that bad? No. It's not. For the Pursuit Music, Most Wanted/Carbon, Hot Pursuit, and Rivals nailed it. However the thing about Rivals' pursuits is that whenever the music plays to be more intense, the cops will just keep spawning more and more up to the level where they are now driving deadly hyper cars with weapons equipped. Similar to Hot Pursuit but more scarier. So you cannot disrespect Rivals like that for being the worst. Rivals followed the AI of Most Wanted and literally it shows why Rivals had already received the love by most people despite the game having minor bugs and glitches, but it worked out as a fun experience when playing the game. Like come on. Rivals' soundtrack isn't bad, including the pursuit music. It might not be the best NFS, but majority of the people think that Rivals is a follow-up to NFS High Stakes with the elements of Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit.
Carbon basically reused pursuit theme and all Police vehicles, and almost all police assets, replacing RPD with PPD. As for MW pursuit ost, some of it was cut from the game.
@@TailsDollOS The only difference in Carbon's pursuits is only the chopper. It's missing. It can't appear in pursuits in Heat Level 4 but can be seen in cutscenes when you get caught by the police. It doesn't make fucking sense at all.

This game is my very first NFS. She gave me and outstripped my character for games. And this soundtrack, my God, it touched my soul and my love for musical friendship. In short, if we talk the soundtrack of the chase is too formidable by Paull' Linford and Criss Verona. We tried to make sure that the soundtrack was approximately to such measures of the chase. The music itself depends on the status. And this music is very invigorating, and it just says that you should not stop. And this is a great solution ! And this music had its own aggressive style.

Murcielago? Naah, Punto Grande all the way.
He crashed my car i need some help send more reinforcement

Banger song to listen while on the Autobahn
Not any other game knew how to hype me up with music like this one. Absolute perfection.

This is the best pursuit theme and the most recognizable one in Most Wanted. And not to forget Carbon.
