@ 19 seconds In. That's not the Hindenburg over Cairo. That's her sister ship the LZ-127 Graf Zeppelin. Hindenburg was not 808' She was 804.8'. The Model at 2:25 is of the USS Akron ZRS-4 a "Flying Aircraft Carrier." It housed 4-5 small biplane fighters called the Curtis F-9C "Sparrowhawk" inside an internal hanger bay located underneath behind the control car. It crashed off the coast of NJ during a thunderstorm at night in 1933. 73 of the 76 crew drowned.

Yes you are right. Three kinds of dirigibles, namely Graf Zeppelin, the Blimp and the Hindenburg. Museum had a lot of info. To squeeze it all in, in a short video while keeping it interesting is not easy. Average attention span for humans nowadays is 17 seconds. I like all the details you pointed out . Just beyond the scope of a short clip. I think the message of the video was such a place exists where you can see history, right here in the US and not WW2 arena in Europe. The specs is something people don't realize or comprehend. Plus it gets boring. Don't want people getting lost into detail. Thanks for all the tips.

You see a lot of mistakes in these videos that could have been avoided if the person making them had spent ten minutes on Google.

My mother was part of the crowd at Mines Field (now Los Angeles International Airport- LAX) to see the arrival of The Graf Zeppelin. She and her family were from Germany, and my grandmother admitted that she had had a crush on Dr. Hugo Eckner.

Good to know people who witnessed things first hand. You are so fortunate.

True. The story is about Hindenburg but wherever I could not find stuff on Hindenburg, I inserted Gray Zeppelin or Blimp. Can't put a disclaimer on every single frame. Decades after Hindenburg there is only patchwork that one can find. I was happy to meet the eyewitness to Hindenburg. He will be gone in a few years and then all we will have the tapes from the times.
