Yeah me, too. But I'm glad they didn't go that route. She learned to let go of her feelings on her own instead doing it by getting a new person to love. This happens as well and I'm glad they displayed it like this for a change =)

Just wanna leave a note that people grieve in very different ways - personal and cultural differences. I think it's positive that the 5 stages have brought grief into a larger conversation about how it's ok for your life to be heavily disrupted by loss, but if you're going through a breakup or loss of a loved one or something else, don't feel bad about how you're not reacting properly, or you should be ok, because it's hard. And it's going to be rough. But you'll get through your own process and it won't hurt as much in the long run.
4:44 Oh don't mind me, just a regular crow swaying my head back and forth to the music of your inability to move on. Lol, but it's such a cute crow though.
Beautiful! I love that the crow represents the problems of moving on. The more room the crow gives her, the less her ex is on her mind. And in the end she was able to move on. I watched Noose and it had such symbolism as well. Congratulations on your success! Your films are a true beauty of symbolism and art. 💕💗
Someone's probably already mentioned this, but I love the detail of the photo of her and ex bf being removed after the breakup, and slowly being replaced by other photos like her with her friends. It's the little deets (like the boy and the dog from noose showing up) that really make these types of animations shine!

Late to the party, I’m sure, but I can’t be the only one who thought it was sweet that after all that time the barista knew what her regular coffee was.
I love how easy it is to understand what's going on, and that the message is really clear. I don't think anyone had to go to the comments to see what the 'hidden' message was. The bird is a really clever idea and perfect symbolism. Well done!
Ironically my parents did not understand the film/metaphor when I showed it to them and said it was hard to understand 😂 so thank you for this comment I really appreciate it :'D
I can't help but feel like the crow is symbolic for intrusive thoughts. Constantly following you, shooting loud words to quickly ruin your mood, sometimes they're so loud that its painful and feel like they're pecking at your head. Notice how when she starts feeling happier the crow isn't there, or it's in the background (almost as if to represent that even in your happy moments the thoughts are still playing in the back of your mind, even if you don't see it) but when she sees her ex at 5:25, the crow comes right back perched on her head.
This perfectly describes the feeling. I recently got broken up with and they always pop back into my mind. The crows pesters me all day and I have genuinely yelled out for the thoughts to leave me alone. This really captures that feeling, very well done
The details even the smallest ones really hit well for this! From the progression of the bird’s behavior, the changing of the photos on the side of the dresser- the fact an Americano can end up as a bitter drink, because it’s espresso + hot water, a good mirror to her emotions about the breakup, but then she orders a Latte, which is a sweet drink, consisting of steamed milk and foam with the espresso, which could show that in a way she’s returned to a ‘sweeter’ and happier point in her life- which while might be a stretch, is another small detail that did catch my interest! Keep up the good work.

First of all, you’re missing the point. The bird is there to remind the girl of her past relationship which wasn’t a good one, and now the bird seems to keep its distance from her afterwards, meaning the bird (aka reminder of her past relationship) doesn’t matter to her anymore.
I love the symbolism of her getting a different coffee than her usual relates to getting over her persistent thought about her ex boyfriend. I also love how when she sees him, the bird pops up for a little bit, but isn't as much as a nuisance as it was before.
Just a random guy leaving a comment here. So I've been suicidal again recently, hence loads of TH-cam watching in the past few months without much socialisation. Blaise Walsh Thanks for saying that. I thought we lived in a world where oversharing your personal mess was considered socially inappropriate. I guess not.
I remember hearing something about how every 7-10 years every cell in your body is replaced with a new one. If it gives you any comfort, know that some day you’ll be completely rid of somebody hurting you or anything else. Know that it’ll get better.
This really summed up last year for me. A nasty breakup and a hella long time of healing. I love how accurate this short film is. It really captures the portrayal of grief and heartbreak so well. You did an amazing job. Please keep up the good work.
Finally something about break ups where the solution isn't to get in a rebound relationship 👌 (seriously I saw her talking to the guy at the coffee shop at the end going "oh no...")
1:03 & 4:55 i love the small little detail of her getting rid of the pictures with her ex and replacing it with the photos she took with her friends 😌💕
this was a great way to represent dealing w/ a break-up, the consequential depression that may follow, and learning to break the potential routines youve had w/ your ex and letting go as you go about a new routine and niche for yourself. yea you may not be able to always keep him/her out of your mind, but you will be able to eventually move on and heal. you won't be a single forever, there is that special someone for you out there. and, if you dont feel like dealing w/ relationships at all anymore, thats ok too...theres nothing wrong w/ being single and doing what you want to do without a SO and/or kids in your future
So... This video hit me hard just now. I lost my job for no particular reason in December of 2019. Two weeks before Christmas and two weeks after my daughter had a life-threatening surgery. I spent most of 2020 harboring a deep anger against my former employer, mixed with covid anxiety. 2020 has been a rough year for me. But I did find a new job, and I'm making way more than I was at my original job. It did get better for me. But I can identify with having a bird hanging over my head all the time. This is EXACTLY how I felt. Thank you for making such a touching video. And thank you for the feels.
I really liked and appreciated this short film. Sometimes it really is hard to move on from a relationship, especially if you're the one being dumped or told that they don't feel the same way about you. It hurts. It hurts a lot and this short film really shows that it takes time to move on. People think you should be able to bounce back and move on right away and some people do and can do that, but sometimes it just hurts so much that you need to just try to get over those feelings. You have to learn to live with what happened and accept it before you can move on and change things.
So beautiful! I think the bird was something to keep always thinking about the bad thing (between her and i think her ex) and she couldn't live propley with that but then she decides to distract her mind and live better with the"stress' Atleast that's my theorie but realy i love it! Truely a masterpiece! ^^
I also interpret the crow as a bad thing in general - in my case depression. The protagonist's journey with the crow reminds me of my own dealings with depression - sometimes it just watches from the window while you have fun, other times it nests on your head and pecks repeatedly
I literally found/watched Noose last night and subscribed without really looking at your other videos yet, so it was such a surprise to see another project of yours come out today of all days, considering how long animation takes and all that. Just like your other project, this was a great, thoughtful short with a great message. Glad I subscribed!
After a turmoil of a couple of years, I can finally understand this particular stuff of letting go. The best part is that it didn't show if she found him right or wrong or something but just focused on herself and her routine and feelings because (not necessarily him but) the other person also has genuine reasons and sometimes we're just now able to ignore their needs so we just don't want to blame them. It does happen sometimes and the best way out is to simple focus on ourselves. We'll move on and be happy.
I JUST FOUND ANOTHER EASTER EGG WHEN SHES LOOKING AT THE COFFEE SHOP AT TGE MONOLOGUE OF HER IGNORING THE BIRD THE BIY FROM NOOSE IS IN THE COFFE SHOP!!! YOU CAN SEE HIM IN THE RIGHT WINDOW
Since I am finally healed now and over from him this video is 💗🥺 really emotional for me . I have watched the animation before when I was healing and now watching it after I healed giving another level of satisfaction 😊. Every single second I can feel it bcz I have gone through the same 😔 thankyou for making this video❤️🧿
Thank you so much for this! You put this particular feeling into art. As to now, finally moved on and found happiness and love within myself but I can't say that whenever I'd see/hear/smell something that remind me of them it wouldn't cause a bit of a tinge feeling of pain in my chest.. You wouldn't believe how many nights I've stayed up through all before just because of reminiscing and trying to understand what went wrong..Though the best thing is being able to remind yourself that nostalgia is a filthy thing that makes you think things were better before than the real deal and that relieved me of the pain that haunted me of my numerous what if's and why not's. It's important to know that: Self indulgence, happiness and love is so much better if you give it time, and those will give and reassure you the strength you're always had, with or without them. This beautifully well animated artwork was taken as a sign that we're all heading the right direction. Thank you, for giving all of a us an understanding or closure of this feeling so that we can accept it as a normal part of us.
Thanks for taking the time to write me such nice comments (both here and on the soundtrack), and sharing a bit of your own story! Really glad my work could connect with you and you're doing better within yourself ^^
Ohmygursh. I know I'm a bit late but I love this one! I found Noose a couple years back and absolutely loved it. Currently I struggle sometimes and find myself going through negative cycles. And when it gets really hard, I remember Noose and rewatch it to help me cope and feel okay about myself and others. Now with On My Mind, I find so much symbolism with the girl and her crow. At first when the guy left, the crow didn't pop up until he passed her. I believe that it shows that if he turned around at the last second and maybe just tried to help her out a bit to cope, it might have come a little less suddenly. But he walked away, leaving her with the constant peck and throb of his departure. When she saw him the second time, she was in a desert with this crow. I believe that she felt exhausted, thirsty, and tired from her journey trying to find the water in all the sand. But when she saw him the third time, she was finally able to acknowledge that the crow was there with the nod of her head, and that she was ready to move on. She didn't need to constantly try to ignore it and believe it would go away. She could still have him there, but he wouldn't always be pecking and singing like he used to. Thank you for these wonderful animations (and if you read all this hope you understood cause I am confused on what I wrote. XD) Hope to see more sometime in the future. And hope everyone is doing well during these times! Stay sweet!
Wonderfully done illustration of how people can linger in our minds and slowly become a backdrop to everything until we decide to free ourselves from old patterns. Simple, relatable, very well translated into art. Congratulations on making such a lovely piece!
I love this, for months that damn bird for me never left. now I've moved on its like a weights been lifted off my shoulders, like I can breath. it's not that we don't care about people it's just, some times we got to learn to let things go that are no longer good for us. it's hard at first but with time and patience eventually we all move on. no hard feelings on anyone, it's just part of life.
You are lucky, The woman I gave my heart and innocence to raped me and abused me both mentally and physically for months, she abandoned me while making me cry every night but I just loved her so much that even now that we've broke up 7 months ago I still miss the affection... And I can't seem to enjoy being around couples without being reminded of my bad experience at first love I hope you know that you are very lucky to just, move on
Honestly, this helped me finally end my old relationship and break up, knowing that it's not the end, that there's still life after ending things, new things will come up and I'll be happy again without needing to stress about everything after some time
The way the crow is a symbolization of how she's consistently remorsing her old relationship made me kinda realize how I don't usually feel that type of dread after a breakup, I move on quickly. Yet, it isn't like it leaves my head completely. Instead, it kinda just becomes apart of me which is much more unhealthy, but it just means I have a hell lot of crows of my own and I'm still working on it.
Can I just say that this actually made me cry?? Just tears of laughter, sorrow, and especially happiness to find that in the end she was able to let go and move on to better things. This was a masterpiece 😭💖
I am leaving this comment for someone suffering from a heart break. I've been there 2 yrs back and i used to watch this story back then. This is so true. I suffered lot but did my best to heal. Now i am happy more than ever with a loving soul. Time will change everything. ❤
Honestly props to the guy who broke up with her. If you just fell out of love with a person for no real reason it's hard to confront them about it. They didn't do anything wrong or hurtful to you and you know it's going to hurt them. This dude, as brutal as it was, was true to his feelings. And even though he literally could have thought up literally anything else to her other than "you've been a great sport" that was also justified. What exactly are you supposed to say in that situation? Great animation!
I'm dealing with anxiety right now and trying to get out of it, so watching this helps a lot. It doesn't matter how much I overthink or try to make it go away, It will on it's own eventually. To everyone else that may be feeling the same, hang in there, everything will be just fine. WE will make it.
Wow incredible animations and story! And amazing voice actors! And the soundtracks are just an amazing treat as well! Deserves such more attenruons praise! ✊😤👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
i really like how you did this. a lot of similar films like to display the solve all to a broken heart, as love- not self love. you didn't even bring a love interest into the story, which i was paranoid of, and i appreciate that. a lot.
it's beautiful.... the crow is the metaphor of memory and sadness...as days passing by those started to fade like the crow getting far little by little.... and finally it flew away when she is ready for a new begining
I like how this story didn't show her getting happy again after finding "the right one" Or her ex regretting his decision.... This facts made this story more realistic
I kind of wish at someone point she just started crying and simply pet and befriended the crow, as if to symbolize accepting and making peace with her new reality, rather than forgetting what happened or not thinking about it anymore. Maybe this could've happened at night and then when she woke up, the crow was gone!

3:54 for a moment i thought she would stomp on it
Same
Finally something about break ups where the solution isn't to get in a rebound relationship 👌 (seriously I saw her talking to the guy at the coffee shop at the end going "oh no...")
1:50 oh my god! the anxiety crocodile from In Between is on the calendar! :D
1:04 How I wake up every morning
“Coffee is on mee”
Good. Girl yeet the coffee in his FACE.
I hope nexttime your break up with a guy he does that to you.
@@alexforce9 Well I’m a lesbian so.
@@nicolaberry9550 Well...then the next girl you break up wih lmao. That would be even better.
@@alexforce9 Lmao okay thanks. Just making sure that when you insult me you’re at least doing it right y’know lmao?
@@nicolaberry9550 Im not trying to inslut you. My point is pretty simple - its not ok to act up on someone out of pain.
1:03 & 4:55 i love the small little detail of her getting rid of the pictures with her ex and replacing it with the photos she took with her friends 😌💕
This reminds me of the short "in between". I love how people are representing different mental stages with living things. Keep up the good work!
this was a great way to represent dealing w/ a break-up, the consequential depression that may follow, and learning to break the potential routines youve had w/ your ex and letting go as you go about a new routine and niche for yourself. yea you may not be able to always keep him/her out of your mind, but you will be able to eventually move on and heal. you won't be a single forever, there is that special someone for you out there. and, if you dont feel like dealing w/ relationships at all anymore, thats ok too...theres nothing wrong w/ being single and doing what you want to do without a SO and/or kids in your future
3:15 wow this is exactly how I feel when I have intrusive thoughts damn...
The voices in your head when you get told to shit in the urinals
Thanks for sharing your story. Your feelings are very relatable. Happy to hear things are looking up :)
*Just because you're single doesn't mean you're lonely*
The crow is literally my favorite character XD
I saw that noose reference in the back of the bus!!
good eye!!
4:20 I want what that bird is having
I really liked and appreciated this short film. Sometimes it really is hard to move on from a relationship, especially if you're the one being dumped or told that they don't feel the same way about you. It hurts. It hurts a lot and this short film really shows that it takes time to move on. People think you should be able to bounce back and move on right away and some people do and can do that, but sometimes it just hurts so much that you need to just try to get over those feelings. You have to learn to live with what happened and accept it before you can move on and change things.
2:13 ah yes I paused at the most beautiful moment anyone and witness
So beautiful!
I think the bird was something to keep always thinking about the bad thing (between her and i think her ex) and she couldn't live propley with that but then she decides to distract her mind and live better with the"stress'
Atleast that's my theorie but realy i love it! Truely a masterpiece! ^^
It's in the description
I also interpret the crow as a bad thing in general - in my case depression. The protagonist's journey with the crow reminds me of my own dealings with depression - sometimes it just watches from the window while you have fun, other times it nests on your head and pecks repeatedly
sometimes you learn to live in peace with your own crows and you get used to it.
I literally found/watched Noose last night and subscribed without really looking at your other videos yet, so it was such a surprise to see another project of yours come out today of all days, considering how long animation takes and all that. Just like your other project, this was a great, thoughtful short with a great message. Glad I subscribed!
haha this def took a long time to make and finally put out so good timing on your part !! thanks so much for the kind words :)
arrowmi U deserve it. Animation is hard! (Plus writing and editing and all that other stuff)
Its not noose boy
Keychan64 ? I don’t know you’re trying to say..
@@l.aliascy I made the comparison I looked at both and the boys don't look alike
0:10 AND I LOVE THE ARTSTYLE WTF…. ITS SO GOOD
3:03 the voices in my head telling me to shit in the urnials
The dude is slaying wow. How he have the willpower to put everything behind so easily?
ok ik the crow is some sort of symbolism or metaphor, but he’s lowkey kinda cute 🥺
3:05 was amazing! The amount of emotion in that shot really did the story for me and the spinning camera around her was super cool!
thank you! that shot took 2 months alone to animate so I'm so glad you appreciate it :'D
@@arrowmi wow 😲
This crow be vibing on her and the crow is just adorable lol
4:04
The bird: * Bobin' its head *
My brain almost instantly: Yooooo, what music you listenin' to?
this is so good!!! the storytelling is amazing and the animation is too!!!
Ack! Love your pfp of Loki
Relatable. On both ways. These things are never easy if you cared.
Phenomenal work :)! Amazing storytelling in such a short time ^^.
Oh my god i love you short films! They are so great! We need more animations like this instead of the same patterns animation memes! Good job!
First reaction I got from this video was saying "I'm gonna punch that dude." out loud alone in my room.
I JUST FOUND ANOTHER EASTER EGG
WHEN SHES LOOKING AT THE COFFEE SHOP AT TGE MONOLOGUE OF HER IGNORING THE BIRD THE BIY FROM NOOSE IS IN THE COFFE SHOP!!!
YOU CAN SEE HIM IN THE RIGHT WINDOW
The crow is so cute, got sad when it slowly went away but glad it came back in a good way
Loved the detail on the bag strap as she was running! Great stuff
Since I am finally healed now and over from him this video is 💗🥺 really emotional for me . I have watched the animation before when I was healing and now watching it after I healed giving another level of satisfaction 😊. Every single second I can feel it bcz I have gone through the same 😔 thankyou for making this video❤️🧿
thank you for empathizing. makes me happy to hear my work connects with you, and you're doing better ☺💖
It's important to know that:
Self indulgence, happiness and love is so much better if you give it time, and those will give and reassure you the strength you're always had, with or without them.
Stay sweet!
4:30 she is programmer 😍
Wonderfully done illustration of how people can linger in our minds and slowly become a backdrop to everything until we decide to free ourselves from old patterns. Simple, relatable, very well translated into art. Congratulations on making such a lovely piece!
I love this,
for months that damn bird for me never left.
now I've moved on its like a weights been lifted off my shoulders, like I can breath.
it's not that we don't care about people it's just,
some times we got to learn to let things go that are no longer good for us.
it's hard at first but with time and patience eventually we all move on.
no hard feelings on anyone, it's just part of life.
You are lucky,
The woman I gave my heart and innocence to raped me and abused me both mentally and physically for months, she abandoned me while making me cry every night but I just loved her so much that even now that we've broke up 7 months ago I still miss the affection... And I can't seem to enjoy being around couples without being reminded of my bad experience at first love
I hope you know that you are very lucky to just, move on
Triple G go to therapy
@@Triple_G_YT you are so strong! Omg! All the best
Honestly, this helped me finally end my old relationship and break up, knowing that it's not the end, that there's still life after ending things, new things will come up and I'll be happy again without needing to stress about everything after some time
5:25 and so on was so Beautiful it gave me butterflies☺️
Your art has improved so much since “Noose”!!
Wow, you did it agian! This is amazing!
Missed opportunity to let the girl fall asleep then the bird be the alarm.
oh my
what a sudden turn of events
I know the bird is like grief or something, but *it's so cute* like 4:51 makes me sad. LOOK AT THE SAD BIRB, *WHY IS IT SO CUTE!!*
Wow incredible animations and story! And amazing voice actors! And the soundtracks are just an amazing treat as well! Deserves such more attenruons praise!
✊😤👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
i really like how you did this. a lot of similar films like to display the solve all to a broken heart, as love- not self love. you didn't even bring a love interest into the story, which i was paranoid of, and i appreciate that. a lot.
This is so beautiful!
it's beautiful.... the crow is the metaphor of memory and sadness...as days passing by those started to fade like the crow getting far little by little.... and finally it flew away when she is ready for a new begining
I like how this story didn't show her getting happy again after finding "the right one" Or her ex regretting his decision.... This facts made this story more realistic
I just love the music in the beginning!🤩 I wish it was longer!
I like it. cute.
The coffee should be ON HIM. Love this animation!
I kind of wish at someone point she just started crying and simply pet and befriended the crow, as if to symbolize accepting and making peace with her new reality, rather than forgetting what happened or not thinking about it anymore. Maybe this could've happened at night and then when she woke up, the crow was gone!
Till now, I still can't listen to Coldplay without being reminded of a certain someone who left me heartbroken. Thanks a lot, SY.
