Thank you! Other videos skipped the hardest part...taking the cover off. It ended up needing the ice flap motor replaced. DIY was much cheaper than a service call.
It worked and it was the case. I did spend $85 on someone coming out, but after seeing this video, I was able to fix the problem. Thanks for saving me over $150!
Great video showing how to remove the front board with minimal damage to the tabs. My ice door would not open, because the arm somehow got behind the door actuator.
Thank you. Got the main board disconnected but the ice dispenser continues to run unless it is unplugged inside the freezer door. Would you know if there is another board in the upper portion of the door that can be bad????
Well the first thing I noticed is I would have unplugged it first, to avoid inadvertently shorting anything and perhaps blowing the control board... This isn't the same model I have though so I don't know if it comes apart the same way.
Kenmore Elite, Estimate on replacing compressor $1,389. And repairing fridge. Guys complete yunk. How can we stand a class law suite against this product made by LG. Sears is backed up on these fixes.

Same... no idea how that could happen except for the t-rex arm that barely catches the paddle. Cheapskates.
