I'm a big fan of the new REP Equalizer iron plates. They don't have the urethane coating but they look great and are comfortable to carry. Plus you get that sound of iron clanking on iron.
100% agree. Would warn though, they had similar plates in my old condo gym - people would break the handles from time to time...never saw a break but probably they were dropped or from slamming them during deadlifts
I have the Ivanko 7 shooter steel plates. They come in rubber coated as well which would probably be better. Had to get some rogue competition bumpers for deads but they are priceyyyyy. Agree. Rubber coated with handles are the way to go. I would go Reps if they were available in Australia. Great to have u have in the feed reviewing equipment mate 👍🏼
Notification squad!! Let’s go!! Happy Friday!! We’re team rogue deep dish all day. I will say BOS grip plates are really good too! And not too expensive!
I like the Bells Of Steel mighty grips, but tbh even overseas knock off weights work great too. I'm not competing, and weighy accuracy isn't important in bodybuilding as long as the loading increases, we have stimulus. Leading to my most important factor: Cost. This being my hobby not my income or job, cost is most important to me. Second: ease of use. Grip weights, deep dish, anything that I gotta fight with is a no, thus these two are staples. Last: looks. Worst case I can always grab red green blue or black coatings like Cerakote air dry or just enamel paint and spruce them up.
I love staying with the York deep dish
I really need to get on that bandwagon as I'm not the cool club at all :(
@MacStrengthCo been using these since the 90s only thing I have ever used
Agree with you regarding plates with handles, I have the REP ones, used daily, love em!
Another vote for the REP plates. Overwhelming amount of positive feedback on them.

I've liked new REP plates. All the benefits and some great quality .
Strength Co. plates for me. I like the old school iron look and sound
I’m a fan of the owner of Strengthco and what they’re doing. Great company to support

dam! I would love to see a picture of that. That's pretty crazy and like you said must have been from some serious abuse.
Love my rep urethane equalizers. Agree about the handles.
I've heard lot's of good feedback on them. Really nice plates to have. Handles make a huge difference.
I have the Rep Fitness urethane Equalizer plates and I love the “handles”.
makes all the difference. There's a reason commercial gyms have plates with handles.

IVANKO makes some! I bet those are nice.. hell ya!
I went this route as well. Titan makes a similar Plate style.
It's just so nice for training.

Team Deep Dish Rogue squad is strong. Probably the most popular plates made honestly
Hey man, do you offer your own code for American Barbell? Wanted to support the channel before ordering. Love what you do
American barbell makes great stuff. I have their Chewy power bar and it's flawless.
The famous chewy bar keeps coming up on my feed. I will need to get one in the gym.
@@MacStrengthCoIt is that good, but please don't think the bar is meant to be chewed on, that will hurt.
Giving me LA fitness vibes. I gotta stick to my old school Iron plates. (Bumper for dead’s)
Eleiko every day of the week!

All great points. I bought my plates at a time when equipment was 30-40% cheaper so I feel you on the prices today.
