On the 22nd of Oct this year, my birthday, Ireland moved into its second strict full lockdown for a six-week period.
During the last lockdown, we sent ukuleles far and wide across the country and went on #thelockdownukulelerockdown adventure. There are no ukuleles left so we had to come up with another idea.
This time we decided to use the almighty power of the human voice.
And what better song to do it with than 'Caravan of Love' which was a Christmas number one in 1986.
This time it will be #thelockdownacapellarockdown .
Over 250 voices came together from the diverse and inclusive community of Mullingar, Co. Westmeath in the heart of Ireland.
Due to restrictions, all the vocals were recorded on people's phones.
But we couldn't have a song without a music video, could we?
And the result is a celebration of everything that is great about my hometown.
Over 2000 people joining together at the height of the lockdown to show the power and importance of inclusion.
So, every woman every man, join the caravan of love, stand up, stand up.
All in aid of Minding Creative minds to support my peers and colleagues in the music and events industry.
