They used to wipe all the tapes to recycle them. I guess those running the tv stations didn’t think that entertainment, like pop music would have any lasting cultural value, so not worth archiving. Obviously a mistake and enormous loss.
Glad to know that this footage is out there. I read that he performed some songs from Scott 4. I would love to see that. Was Scott 4 a hit record in Japan?
