On his death BBC4 ran a programme about him and when he was recording Bisch Bosch the cameras were in the studio and the sounds he wanted from the orchestra and why ,then it made sense but I must admit it's a challenging listen. He was gifted in so many ways
The irony is he didn't think much of himself as a singer at all. Maybe if he had more vocal coaching, and he admitted he did not, he would have possessed more confidence in himself vocally.
Wow! Was expecting a poppy fluff singer but he brings it! He was a very talented singer with a beautiful voice! I’m partial to Jackie & it’s a nice tribute to Jacques Brel.. beautifully done!
Absolutely, I came to Scot late, my loss. He's up there with the best of them. His last albums are a challenge, having said that, I watched how Bisch Bosch was recorded ,he was getting down the sounds he wanted from the orchestra and then it made sense.
