There is a hilarious intro to this performance on the video version where he is making fun of audience members still taking their seats as the show is about to start and a photographer with a flash camera is snapping shots of him from below the stage. He tells him to sit down, and then says: "I-said-sit-your-mother-fucking-ass-DOWN". It would be funny even with just the audio. Odd it was left off the LP.
The most amazing thing about this performance was that it happened. Not because Richard was fortunate to have survived the injuries caused by his psychotic self-immolation in 1980, although that's true, too. No, the truly amazing thing was that Richard had tried & failed in his first attempt to do this show, apologizing to the audience before aborting it. To feel that type of acute embarrassment, then turn around and perform for the same audience and slay them, that's the measure of a master.
