Cool story bro
The worst thing that can happen is getting a $100 piece of soap.
@@Banzaii2 you've obviously never dropped the soap in prison then. My bumhole is still like a yawning hippo
I love how this dude just straight up keeps it real and doesn't hide from his mistakes. I have so much love and respect for the man
Exactly. He was an incredible person. Funny, brilliant, could do it all, and he did. TV, Movies, Starring, Directing, Writing, Producing and anything else he wanted. He was the King of Comedy and is still rembered and loved. Rest in Peace Richard Proyer ✌️❤️🌼
He's real. OG
For ever
What a legend
And l think this is over 30 years ago
Keep it real av got a brick of fantanol and inject right into my eyeballs 😂😂
The 70s and 80s had some of the best music and comedians of the ages.
A lot of 80's music is also hot trash. To be fair. 50/50.
He’s literally describing every addiction! Also, the denial most of these people are in. To go through what he went through with drugs and to be able to come back and explain it so honestly and openly, is amazing. He will always be one of the best comedians that ever lived! According to me!! 👏👏👏
You're absolutely 💯 👌 correct
You got it wrong Richard is the Goat@@normanthusy5135There will never be another B fore or after him.
His genius was turning tragedy into comedy. Comedy at its highest level.
Yes!
The greatest comedian of all time or for that matter any time incisive intuitive observational honest funny quick witted brilliant
@@clifftanton8385 , yes sir I must concur
Tragedy and truth are the pinnacles in which comedy is built on. So absolutely agree.
How in the world did i find this today of all days. Ive been 12 years clean today. This is the most accurate description of addiction ive ever heard. Live you Rich and the world misses your insight.
God’s timing!
Miss hi to 😢😢😢😂😂tell Truth ook✌️👋💯
Congratulations! Here's to the next 12 clean years! The Doobie Brothers did an album cover ('74), "What were once vices are now habits." Richard said that if you've been doing it two weeks, then it's already a habit. It doesn't take long to go from vice to habit.
I miss Richard Pryor , he made everyone laugh , and there will never be anyone like him
Check out George Carlin.
I miss Richard Pryor too! I grew up listening to his shows and he always had me laughing, even when he was talking about messing up with free basing. He always seemed like a guy you could sit and drink beers with and just talk, tell stories and laugh your ass off with. RIP Mr. Pryor
This man put a face, 2 arms and 2 legs to a drug. *THAT* my friends is legendary 👍👍
An astute analogy of the body that is addiction. It will punch and kick you, especially when you’re down. Lies constantly therefore has a bad mouth to go with its body. I’ve had my share of addicted moments in my lifetime.
Richard.... really telling it like it is....but making it funny but also a "strong" message ! He was amazing ! 😊 👍
The greatest of all time Richard Pryor
"Fxxx all your appointments me and you just gonna hangout in this room together" -said by every drug ever😂😂😂
thats not funny.
lol
Marijuana say we gone hang out on the way 🤣
“ How much you want ?”
“ A kilo..”
😂😂
I would say that would last me 2 years, but probably not😂🤷
I. Love him ❤️ 💕 😅😅
I don’t want nothing to do with it. My life is pretty bad.
Ugh Richard.. we love you
I grew up listening to Richard and Eddie and Sam kinison. But Richard would always put himself out there for the audience with complete honesty. Thats how much he loved and thought of his audience as family
R.I.P. to the greatest!!!!
The greatest comedian of all time; period , point blank !!!!!
Uh, great communicator, but have you ever seen George Carlin?😂😅😂
The way his pipe talked to him got me looking at my beer bottle like🤔
I like other comedians but none were in this man's league. Richard was one of a kind. How many people can joke about themselves being burned. I think that showed he had moved on past that and I'm proud of him for it.
RIP Richard , king of comedy.
"you could sooner get free food in a Chinese restaurant" 😂
I know lmao!
I was there that night. My best girlfriend and I laughed hard . He wasn't even on the list of entertainment marquees. He just dropped in .we knew we were lucky that night. I loved that girl so much.
"Everybody knows 4:28 that I have milk and cookies before going to bed " 😅😅😅
An honest man - respect
You gotta promise not to tell nobody 😂
Richard Pryor Was a Genius 💯🤣🤣🤣👌🏻✌🏻
Richard Proyer was the King 👑 of Comedy. Redd Foxx even admired him from what I understand. He opened soo many doors for young black show businesses in every way. Rest in Peace Richard Proyer. You are still missed and loved ❤️✌️❤️🌼
Dude wasnt scared to tell his story
I think I remember reading something about the day before, he couldn't do it. Sorry if I'm incorrect. Rest in Peace Richard Proyer The King of Comedy. He surpassed Redd Fox, who was a great friend to him I'm sure. Again, I apologize if I'm incorrect. So glad I didn't start smoking, but know some that do, and some that did. ✌️❤️🌼
just like bernie mac
That freebase shit scared the hell out of me. Haven't touched anything since 1983.
I miss Pryor. A legend.
The funniest guy ever. My introduction to comedy
Mine too. To me he was the King of Comedy. He surpassed Redd Fox, who was a funny, funny man. Richard Proyer did it all. I apologize if I'm wrong, I just remember reading it somewhere ✌️❤️🌼
Imagine watching this when you were seven or eight.
On the bright side, between his stories, Carlin's and Robin William's tales of bad drugs, letting me watch this was probably one of the most effective things my parents ever did to keep me off from drugs.
On the bad side, I learned VERY quickly these weren't jokes I could tell the next day at school.
"Time for some smoke rich"
This man is on another level when it comes to comedy and he is a legend that paved the way for other guys to tell jokes and rock a stage like he did when he was performing. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.
Equal parts hilarious and sad with hilarious winning the tiebreaker. That was his genius.
It's one of the all-time greatest . A king of comedy if you will.
He was amazing
Miss you forever, Richard Pryor.
So deep and hilarious at the same time.
He was one of a kind… though he carried the cross for many he died alone
Everybody dies alone. So, whatever
Richard Pryor is the G.O.A.T of comedy.
He did so much to help people with real life issues and did it thru laughter
One of a kind. Brutal honesty.
It's real beautiful, genius work right there. Rest the great man.
Richard was the Best. Thank you Richard.
Awareness came from the strangest places when you're young. I must have been 10 or 11 in this time. The time of Nancy Reagan's Dare program. 80's crazy
No one comes close. Hands down, The best ever.
HE'S RESTING IN COMEDIAN POWER
r.i.p richard. thanks for the gift you shared with us.....your humanity.
you were a talent extraordinaire.
THE king of comedy
This helps me understand family members' addictions. RIP RP!❤️
I know the feeling 😢
This came out as a movie way back when. Richard Pryor Live on the Sunset Strip. Thats how I saw it. One of the GOAT.
So good , so accurate
He is a Legend Had same disease have 248 days clean
Comedy is always is based in tragedy. It's possibly linked to the bonds that are made in hardship.
I have had dope dealers cut me off. It’s a very strange feeling.
They really like you
@@SmokeyVandross Everyone that sells drugs isn't a monster. Most of them are just trying to survive and I was a serious dope fiend. I found the needle at a very young age and would get as low as 110 pounds at almost 6 foot tall. I am very lucky to be alive and I am lucky that some of the people I dealt with had a conscience and saw that I was slowly killing myself and didn't want to be a part of it. in the moment though its a fucked up feeling when the dope dealer says "hell no I am not selling you nothing" lol
They knew that shit was beneath you
Because you never paid your Bills 😩

I have all his vinyl albums in mint condition! Absolutely he helped break racism in that Ari
This dude right here ❤❤
Crazy good...
Legend
Started watching Richard in the 1960s on Ed Sullivan. NO ONE is better!😊😊😊
Richard Pryor Was a Genius
In a moment of fun with Craig Ferguson, the late Robin Williams remarked, "What is comedy but a series of painful memories re-enacted."
Facts😂🤘
Loving the shoes
Some of the realest s**t ever spoken, by one of the realest!!
I used to smoke cocaine out of a gravity bong. I’d buy an 8 ball and split in half. 1 half for snorting and 1 half for smoking and I would load a gravity bowl with maybe 25% weed and 75% cocaine making sure to mix the 2 substances well because cocaine doesn’t burn as easy as pot. I’d hit that shit for 4 days without sleeping or eating. You talk about an addiction, shit! Rich is 100% correct, it tells you when to wake up and when to sleep. Makes all your decisions for you. I had some fun times on it but after overdosing 3 times I finally got tired of it. Haven’t done it in 7 years and don’t miss it one bit. You couldn’t pay me to do cocaine now, too old for that shit now, I’d probably die 😂
What did the high feel like for you that made you like it so much? I never tried crack, but I had an old, old friend who was once a crack addict, and he described the feeling like an orgasm times a thousand. When he told me that, I vowed never to try even a wee-wee little tiny puff, because I know I'd be hooked if I did. Just a regular orgasm feels pretty fricken' amazing -- but times that by a thousand?! Oh my goodness, I'd be out of my mind.
@@Jim_L It’s a compelling high to be sure. I describe it as almost like being a kid again. You know how when you were a child, the world seemed to burn a lot brighter? You felt good all the time, your senses were a lot higher than they are now, you can see more , smell more, taste more, hear better. Everything is funnier, everything is interesting there’s no boredom to speak of. I just felt so good inside and out when I did it. But I actually preferred to snort cocaine as opposed to smoking it because the high lasted a lot longer. As far as intensity goes I couldn’t tell a difference. Smoking cocaine was just a way for me to conserve it, make my gram or 8 ball last longer that way. You need considerably less cocaine if you’re smoking it but the problem is the heartbeat factor. I can’t count how many times I’d smoke maybe 3 or 4 hits of that shit after snorting it all day and then as my high wore down I’d try to go to sleep and that’s when I’d start feeling my heart slam against my chest and then the most intense form of paranoia would hit me like a ton of bricks. On 3 of those occasions I ended up in the hospital and one of those times was a legit cocaine induced heart attack. You’re wise to have never tried it, you’re not missing much and if you do decide to do it whatever you do DO NOT SMOKE IT and stay hydrated because that shit will dry you out faster than you can blink
@@someguy9471 You say you'd do it for four days without sleeping or eating, yet you describe the high as being fun, like being a kid, where everything was funnier, no boredom, etc. I don't get it -- where does the fun come into play? I can picture the way my old friend described it -- i.e., like an orgasm times a thousand -- and how that would lead one to want to do it over and over again. But he never described crack like you have. He never mentioned the fun part of it. Just a lot of that physical orgasm sensation. I could see why he would want to feel that over and over again. He also described the not sleeping and not eating for days and the erratic heartbeats, but he never said any of it was fun, so I don't get where the fun part comes into play with your own experiences. I'm not at all doubting you; I'm just saying. My old friend also described the incredible, incredible coming down feelings as intense depression, which is one of the big parts of why he would want to then turn around and do more crack so as to avoid coming down from it. But no, no, no, I have no desire to ever try it, and I never did (I'm in my upper 50s). I was just saying that after the way he described the feeling of the high that if I ever did cater the thought of smoking crack, well, that ended those thoughts for me. Congrats on your seven years of being clean. That's really, truly wonderful, my friend. And thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
I wonder if that's what happened to Jamie Foxx?
You the only person I heard of other than me and my boy that would load big bong hits of it. After doing bongs nothing else compared. Well as far as smoking it anyway. Kudos
Very funny and very true.
Goals 😊
WORD!!!😮
I always laughed at him but until now I lacked the perspective to see how courageous he was.

And i dip the cookie and...😅😂😂😂😂
It's hard to be sure but this could be an absolutely accurate account of how things progressed with him.

Satan and the pipe are synonymous
Pryor was the god... don't matter to me that at this point most of his shit was written by Paul Mooney, no one could deliver on stage like Richard... the true GOAT of comedy
If you want the real reason why he set himself on fire, check out the movie JoJo Dancer, Your Life Is Calling
it wasn’t bout smokin, he tried to kill himself. alll real pryor fans know the true story behind that
