He told us funny stories of when he was young growing up in Detroit and there were times during the show that I just scanned the entire place and everyone (including the employees and John himself ) we're laughing so hard it was amazing. . He had everyone there in stitches the entire show. , actually my stomach muscles were sore for two days because I laughed so hard. Good memories for sure

John Witherspoon was an awesome comedian. We were lucky to see him in Austin,TX may 2018. He had us laughing all show. He immediately did his famous Friday one liners and once he did them all, it was an hour of original material and it was hilarious. Met him after, and such a nice person. RIP

I was at the Pink Beach Hotel in Bermuda at the same time as Richard Pryor… we had a brief conversation when I shared with him that my mother was in the hospital, the next morning the front desk said I had mail…it was a get well card from Richard to my mother. I love that man
My first exposure to Witherspoon as a kid was seeing him on Letterman. Letterman loved him and had him on all the time. WItherspoon was one of the most naturally funny people of all time.
