Great summation. The Duo 2 is a great device. As you've said repeatedly, I think the problem has been that people are commenting on the device based on unrealistic comparisons to other devices. The Duo 2 is a productivity device and its not for everyone. It's a great device for business use. I use a multiple monitor desktop set up. The Duo 2 allows me to emulate this in a mobile device.
Howard Abel, how is the Surface Duo 2 holding up for you?? I have a Fold 3 and have been really debating getting the Duo 2 or the Google Pixel 6 Pro as my back-up phone. For some reason even though there are some drawbacks(no way to get notifications for the most part, beside the glance bar), camera being considered it's weak point, no IP68 water resistance, big bezels, etc I keep getting drawn back to this. How would you say your experience is after all the updates in regards to touch sensitivity, camera, running multiple apps etc??? After having a Fold 3 I just think I can't go back to normal slab phones anymore. 📱📱❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes, case options are limited. I have found that the slim pen 2 charging cover not only holds the pen well / charges it, it also offers some degree of protection from scratches... at least on the front cover.
Sure. You can. It’s much cheaper. I would wait a few more weeks if you can for this promised Android 11 update to drop to see how or impacts performance.
I've seen others complain about having to leave the screens facing out to avoid having to open and close it. And that the problem with that is that you leave the screens exposed....but this is a pretty weird complaint if you think about it. Every single screen phone has its screen exposed all the time unless you buy a screen protector or some sort of folio to carry it in. And the screens are by and large going to be fine with proper care. When you leave the screens exposed here you have two screens exposed not one, but other than that it's no different than the risk you get with a single screen phone. Buy two screen protectors if you're worried. I carry mine around most of the time with screens facing out and only go screens in if I'm pretty sure I won't need to look at it for a while. No issues not sure why anybody would close it every time they put it in pocket or what aver.
Duo 1 was interesting to try but had too many issues to become my daily driver. I’m happy to say that isn’t the case for the Duo 2. I’m really enjoying the 2 as my primary device now. It has taken over many functions that my Kindle and iPad mini previously served. It did require getting the right accessories, such as USB-C to magnetic charging cables for simple charging at home and in the car (since no Qi charging) and getting a new vent mount that would fit for the car. I also like the full cover that keeps my slim pen firmly attached and charged for taking notes. The Galaxy Watch 4 pairs nicely to get quick access to notifications.
