Dude thank you so much for taking the time to record this. I had an issue with replacing mine after my friend tried. I had to re-thread the axle by hand, but I finally got it on!! Now I'm having the issue of it not wanting to register the motor trying to accelerate
Just did my front tube replacement. Easy stuff. You will want some miniature tire irons. 2 will do while 3 is best. A chisel will do as a sub for one of the 3. Secret is to lube the tire'tube with soapy water spray and the tire stretches the easiest when the bead of the tire is pushed into the narrowest part that is the inside of the wheel while prying the tire on going around the rim. Took me 5 mins start to finish once I had everything out. Thx for the vid. Always nice to see something before doing it. God bless YT and modern technology. I went to tech school for a year to work on motorcycles but ALWAYS consult YT before attempting anything to look out for tips/tricks/pitfalls. =)
Tried with some water and soap. And then a metal screw driver, and a metal pry bar. Wish I had a better arsenal of flat tools. But it's a real pain to put on and off.
This definitely takes brute force and understanding physics. My friend spent 20 minutes trying to do it himself with scooter tire levers. I needed to hold the tire down for him and create the pressure on the backside of the tire to get the tire back on. It took us 3.5 minutes to do.
Tips to make it easy: boil hard tire for 15 min. Remove from pot, lube outside edge and inside of tire, one person presses tire onto wheel as much as they can, another person uses tire pry to slip last portion of tire onto wheel. Literally pops on in 5 seconds of work.
Nice video, very helpful! The only thing that I would recommend is to check the inside of the tire with your fingers to make sure that there is not still a nail or other object protruding that punctured your tube in the first place. Would be a bummer to go through all that only to puncture your replacement tube because the foreign object was still in the tire! Just saying.....
Oops, you are so right! I just replaced my tube. Hopefully this isn't the case. I did by 2 tubes tho just in case I pinched one putting it on, so I am covered regardless. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
I can't take the cover off the front wheel. I used the same allen wrench as you but when i try to turn it, it slips and feels like it's stripping it. I can't even take off one bolt.
Try going 1 size up until it fits snug. If that doesn't work make sure that its actually all the way in there. They are not in there super tight so it shouldn't take alot to remove.
@@diydad2 I brought another tube from the a different brand, the stem was a little shorter but still too long to slide into the hole. I figured it was the design issue with Gotrax. And finally I was able to slide it in by putting some lotion around the edges of the hole.
To be honest I havent had an issue with the replacement tubes. But if I were to do it again I would just get the tubeless so that I never have to deal with it again.
This video is amazing and I was following it until I couldn’t get the inner tube out because the Schrader valve was too long and wouldn’t come out. I saw in your video you made it seem like a piece of cake. Is there any specific you can tell me about taking the tube out? Would slime be an alternative to replacing a new tube and instead put the slime in the old tube to seek the air leak? Let me know 🙏
Slime is a good temporary fix if the puncture is not too big. I started prying from one side of the valve and went all the way around. The valve was the last thing I took out.
What are those prying tools you’re using? Been trying to do it with butter knifes but if it’s that difficult with proper tools, you can imagine how difficult it is without them.
NEVER USE A BUTTER Knife, when I was a kid me and my dad tried replacing my bike's inner tube with butter knives, lets just say I had to go to the repair shop later.
@@diydad2 thanks big man! I’ve been holding off finishing this till I found an answer. Better safe than sorry. 0:41 Thank you for placing the front screws in like that! One set was also longer on the front too!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Don't forget to drian out the air before doing this lmao
I swear no one mentions deflate tire but you should do it ...
Thanks for the video. Enjoyed the music as well.
Doing this right now. Holy crap is it difficult to get the tire back on with a tube in it.
its very easy compared to trying to put on ahoney comb tire lol
I would guess that you're should be deflated beforehand
Thanks. I’m placing new solid rubber tires on - no more punctures

I thinking checking with a flashlight would be better.
Ok lopu

Do you have any links for the tube and tire, I kinda punctured both of them by doing burnouts.

Try a T-15 torx instead, they all have blue loctite on them.
FYI: soapy water is your friend. Makes the entire process sooo much easier with a little placed around the rim.... Thank me later😊
what about the back tire ?
I can’t figure out what kind of wrench is used for dust trap cap? Not a allen wrench
The plastic covers are removed with a #3 sized allen wrench.
What brand of tube did you use? I bought one of those thick tube off Amazon but the stem is too long to put into the rim hole.
I bought them off amazon as well, 8.5 inch inner tube
For me it felt like the stem was too big for the hole but after a while I managed
@@diydad2 I brought another tube from the a different brand, the stem was a little shorter but still too long to slide into the hole. I figured it was the design issue with Gotrax. And finally I was able to slide it in by putting some lotion around the edges of the hole.
Do you think it would be easier to just get the tubeless solid tire instead?
To be honest I havent had an issue with the replacement tubes. But if I were to do it again I would just get the tubeless so that I never have to deal with it again.
Tubeless tires are so easy to put on. Just a screw driver and boil the hell out of the tires to soften them up
I did a tubeless tired, but it is NOT easy to put on. Takes two people and technique. Or maybe 1 person and a lot of technique.
Tubeless tire sacrifices smoothness of ride. And its harder to put on

Como se llama el desarmador que usas?
how do you line up the valve when putting on the tire?
Put the valve in first then put the cap on it so that is doesn't come out. Hope that helps.

I used some pry bars from my car tools but I would order the bike tire lever set from Amazon its like $5. Definitely worth it to avoid the hassle.

@@Rhythm8503 Yeah I ended up giving up on it cause they weren't helping. Got some tire spoons from Amazon instead and replaced the tube in 10 mins.
My bolts are stripped i cant get the wheel off to fix my flat what can i do bruh
Where do you find the inner tubes from?
I bought mine off Amazon, make sure to get some wheel liners they also help against punctures.
Where do the long bolts go on the back wheel? I took them out so fast, I didn’t see where they came from
In the back the 2 bolts go into the wheel. You have to pop off the plastic cover with the red reflector.

Yes, The back tire is easier to do. There's no electrical connections but its pretty much the same process.

How do you put it back on

When you purchase it there is an extender that comes in the box.
I got a valve extender at the auto parts store. $4.
So why in the world would you skip instructions on the cable and go right to prying off the tire? Its beyond me
You need instructions on how to disconnect a cable?
