Solid video, friend. Your solution worked. You're right, removing the cover is the hard part of the task, but the thermo sensor was the ticket. Thanks!!
I chuckled when you said the case should come off easy. Good video. Just fixed mine today and your video was helpful for finding the location of the reset hole.
OMG!! I had my doubts but I plugged away and worked on getting that cover off. Hit that reset, did a quick test, all looked good. Reassembled, ran a test a BAM! All is working! What a great video and even better instructor. Sorry yours was a fail, but you saved so many from what I see, including mine. Glad I didn't toss it and just waited for the right time to work on this. Thanks for your expertise!
So glad I found your video. Once I finally got the case off, reset the thermal switch and reassembled the case my unit works fine. The case on my unit actually is several parts which come off in sections. Thanks again.
Worked for me, but I agree with other commenters the reset button should be a little easier to access. That cover took a beating coming off but it's all working. Our was stuck on descale, can't help believe after the descale all we needed to do was rinse and reset the descale with the 8-10oz buttons, but I did successfully complete a descale cycle using clean water - having done the actual descale before the thermal switch opened. The add water light never came on during descale, but all seems reset now.
Thanks for the helpful breakdown! Straight forward advice with tips on how to get the Keurig apart and working again. The keurig works like a charm again after resetting the thermal switch.
Keurig should have a reset button too push on the case…. How dare them deprive us of our cup of coffee!!!!!!!!! Thank for the fix I’ll have to pull my unit apart to see if it works.
I disassembled and reset mine a couple years ago. It was a PITA to disassemble, as is evident in this instructional video, but it worked fine until this weekend when I again forgot to fully seat the water tank. Having worked for years in manufacturing heating equipment with lmit switches, this device should NOT have a manually resetable limit switch. There are auto-reset limit switches available that would provide safe shutdown and recovery after a cooling down period. This design is intented for the uniformed user to simply throw the coffee maker out. Also, if the water tank is installed but the water level is insufficient, it will tell you to add more water. But if you turn it on without the tank installed it just pops the limit switch and plays dead. It's either a design flaw or obsolescence by design. A good, but flawed design coffee maker IMO.
Keurig are scumbags for not building a reset button into it. If it's going to trip so easily, it needs a button, just like a ground-fault electrical outlet or the circuit breaker in our homes. Millions of comments online from countless people having this problem. Many many comments of people on their 4th replacement because Keurig keeps replacing them (inside the warranty period) but then the replacement dies...again and again. FOUR IN A ROW - OFTEN. Ridiculous.
My K Supreme plus had the same problem. After figuring out how to remove the case...its different than this video, there is no reset button. Dont bother.
DO NOT EVER BUY A KEURIG COFFEE MAKER….THIS IS THE SECOND ONE THAT HAS QUIT AFTER DESCALING WITH THE Keurig 3 month Brew Care Kit .THEY HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR well over 5 years but don’y
Thank you sir! Your troubleshooting method worked like a charm. I have the same model but black. Weird that I only got it roughly 5, 6 months ago. Sorry yours didn’t work out for you thanks again🫡🤝🏾

Thank you! Saved my coffee maker, probably saved a life ☕️.
This worked great for me! Thank you! Ours was tripped right out of the box!!
Thank you...the video helped get my kuerig back up and running. PATIENCE is all you need when doing it.

Thanks! Worked like a champ.
Your Awsome that did the trick! It’s crazy how they don’t have an easier reset button. I almost threw it in the trash if it wasn’t for you.

Thanks! This saved me from buying a new brewer.
Worked!!! Thanks! greatly appreciate it.
Great to hear you’re back brewing, happy I could help!
thx man you help me save my coffee maker bro ty ty
This worked for me, thanks so much!
Worked! Good stuff. Thanks a lot
Thanks. Saved my marriage with this fix.
Thank you very much, that was very helpful. I think the two lights are flashing because it isn't finished its descale cycle.

Thanks! Worked for me!
This worked for us too! We think it’s crazy that you have to open the whole thing. Why no easier way to reset this?!
If the thermal switch was flipped, would it cause the Keurig to trip the fuse on the kitchen counter? Or just not power on, with no other effect?
Keurig should have a reset button too push on the case….

Thank for the fix
I’ll have to pull my unit apart to see if it works.
Thanks - that did the trick...until next time :)

you'd think if the thermal switch is the common mode of failure, Keurig would make it easier to reset with out having to dissassemble the whole thing

I know there's another channel "just a dad" that discusses how to reset that specific model. Hopefully you found it and got yours working again.
