My K Supreme plus had the same problem. After figuring out how to remove the case...its different than this video, there is no reset button. Dont bother.

Keurig are scumbags for not building a reset button into it. If it's going to trip so easily, it needs a button, just like a ground-fault electrical outlet or the circuit breaker in our homes. Millions of comments online from countless people having this problem. Many many comments of people on their 4th replacement because Keurig keeps replacing them (inside the warranty period) but then the replacement dies...again and again. FOUR IN A ROW - OFTEN. Ridiculous.

Installed yesteday but dont get any signal on the break lamp signal. Have 0.5 V Checked also the fuse box and is no bad fuse. Ground and power is ok but because of the missing break light signal have no output from the controller. Do you have chevi diagram wher o can chase back that signal. My break lights are working so is no sensor issue.

OMG!! I had my doubts but I plugged away and worked on getting that cover off. Hit that reset, did a quick test, all looked good. Reassembled, ran a test a BAM! All is working! What a great video and even better instructor. Sorry yours was a fail, but you saved so many from what I see, including mine. Glad I didn't toss it and just waited for the right time to work on this. Thanks for your expertise!

If the thermal switch was flipped, would it cause the Keurig to trip the fuse on the kitchen counter? Or just not power on, with no other effect?

This worked for us too! We think it’s crazy that you have to open the whole thing. Why no easier way to reset this?!

Thanks, I had the pushed in type of wires, so had to pull gently to extricate them, and had to cut a bit of the vinyl housing to pull more of the wires to hook them over the screws for the new socket, but heck it worked!

I did it this way and my parking brake service light is on😩 what could be wrong??

Great video but people watching this make sure you have 8 washers before putting 2 for each wheel. They only gave me 5 (one for each wheel, one extra) and getting that thing off the rod after it’s banged on wasn’t easy.

Mine is a 1998 and I wanted to change it once I had it out , is exactly like yours the one I have but mine even the connector is different ...😥😥

i have to do the same thing for my 2012 escape, but i have no pipe between the resonator and catalytic conv to work with. looks like i will probably have to get mine welded instead of clamped & sealed. either way this video was soooo helpful, THANK YOU!

So glad I found your video. Once I finally got the case off, reset the thermal switch and reassembled the case my unit works fine. The case on my unit actually is several parts which come off in sections. Thanks again.

I'm so thankful that you and so many other people made videos for this. Watching multiple techniques helped a lot. The hardest part truly is getting the dang case open. It turned out 3 of the back tabs had snapped off making it near impossible to get the back open. After wresting with it for actual hours I finally got it almost there and then just gave it a hard yank and it separated. I hope I never have to open it again :D. Good news is, even with my lack of solder skills, it's not hard to just heat that ball off it pretty much just rolled into my trash can and then I kept applying more heat to make sure it was completely off the contacts and I was nervous after putting it back together (I tested before putting the case back on) but it worked!! Thanks so much!

Just wanted to say thanks for this excellent video. It worked great for our 2012 Ford Escape - only note I would add is that the hangers on the link (as of April 2024) had holes that were quite a bit larger then our vehicle, so I stuck with the originals. But otherwise everything was spot on. Nice work and thanks again!
