    How are there not more views on your videos? I have watched just about every one of your videos at least 5 times, lol...keep it up man, love the information, and when I apply it, I do notice my score going down.

    Great video, Bart Bird. Thank you. Please consider a video showing how height of lie/tee pad affects distance. Example: how throwing from a point ten feet higher than another point (such as from a raised tee pad) affects distance when all other variables (throw speed, disc selection, etc.) remain the same. Would help us with a topic commonly "jawed about" in disc golf: "This 400 foot hole plays like 300 feet because we are throwing off a hill". Opposite true when throwing uphill. Physics might provide a "formula" for this. Thank you.

    can you also do a video about approach/midrange shots (when to use putters/midrange/fairway etc.)?

    • @Bestdiscgolfdiscs
      @Bestdiscgolfdiscs  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the suggestion! We are working on a video that highlights the different putter design styles (and when to use each), but maybe we can extend that to include midranges and fairway drivers as well.

    I love disc golf, i play damn near every day. These videos are cool and i appreciate the support the sport has gained but i feel as if its becoming "too serious" What happened to the days of smoking a joint and drinking a beer with your buddies and just having a good time. At the end of the day we are just throwing plastic at a basket through trees.

    Any chance we could see a video on how the angle of the flight plate influences the trajectory? (of course with wind considerations)

    • @Bestdiscgolfdiscs
      @Bestdiscgolfdiscs  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Brick! Do you mean the angle of the flight plate while in flight, or the design angle of the flight plate?

    • @brickpangborn1505
      @brickpangborn1505 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Best Disc Golf Discs in flight! so shots like air bounces, stalls, even rollers, etc... I recall you posted a video explaining the edge angle and how that relates to stability.

    When throwing a overstable disc into a headwind does the weight factor in to the discs ability to turn over?

  • @WilliamGurebo
    @WilliamGurebo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hey! You say that understable discs are a great option for anhyzer shots (RHBH). Is it great for RHFH in anhyzer too? And are overstable discs the best choise for hyzer RHFH too?

    • @robinmclean8779
      @robinmclean8779 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The short answer is yes to both questions. However, we are talking about how a disc WOULD fly if thrown with control. Even many pros have to adjust for how far and accurately their FH is vs BH, or their ani is vs hyzer.

  • @donniemorrow
    @donniemorrow 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I've found that uphill and downhill shots tend to behave like headwinds and tailwinds, respectively, due to the force of gravity acting on them. For example, I find my more overstable discs fly straighter when throwing downhill

    • @Dexecute.
      @Dexecute. 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wait, if downhill acts like a tailwind wouldn't that make overstable discs fly less straight?

    • @melodicninjaear
      @melodicninjaear 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sean Kelley. Downhill acts like a headwind. Nosedown plus gravity makes the disc less os

    • @jonathanbuchter
      @jonathanbuchter 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      melodicninjaear throwing downwards increases the speed of the disc thrown due to gravity pulling it more in the same direction as the disc is, instead of pulling the disc 90 degrees in the wrong direction in a normal flatland throw. Uphill throws don't go as far and are more overstable, because the gravity is pulling on the almost exact opposite direction of where the disc is moving, which of course slows it down which means more overstability.

    Good points, but what about crosswinds?

    • @Carnivorefitness2024
      @Carnivorefitness2024 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Way too inconstant results to get into I am sure, too many variables

    • @jimedwards7081
      @jimedwards7081 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That may be covered under flat flyers for windy days here. Crosswinds tend to make both over and understable discs either fly away or crash out unpredictably, and the long flyers veer off course.

    • @jimedwards7081
      @jimedwards7081 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I might also add that flat flyers are usually the best for narrow target areas such as wooded fairways and mandos.
