You know, I thought you looked familiar and remembered I watch you play clash royale with nickatnyte like 6 or 7 years ago! And now I'm learning disc golf from MOLT! That's putting a smile on my face :)
I love watching videos on all aspects of disc golf. This one is pretty exceptional. I love shot shapes. Hyzer flips, flex shots, rollers, tomahawks, grenades, flare skips, the list goes on and on.
The elbow thing did was a great tip for me. I immediately threw further and am able to get more spin on my understable discs and get a beautiful flight. Thanks!
Dude, this is what I have been looking for, thank you. I play Bootleggers and trees galore. I hit 4 trees on a par 4 lol. Im gonna use these tips asap. Only been playing a year but I needed to find a way to fix it. I'll keep you posted
Very helpful video, thank you. So many coaches talk about what needs to change, but not as many talk about how to think about those changes from the player's perspective. I learned some useful tips, thank you.
Exactly what I needed. Just looked back at my recent form videos and I am definitely stepping straight to the target (and my miss is to the right). I will work on stepping over to the left more tomorrow! Thanks molt!
I agree. We go through lots of seasons in all areas of progression for any sport 👍🏻 Just gotta push through, be positive, and remember your goals ahead 😃
Ive been working on the plant foot and the arm extension myself. It feels really good when i do those things correctly and alot less body strain because im not over exerting myself to get the same results. Great video
This is what I need to do. And quit playing rounds and only do Field work for a while. You’re supposed to release as your plant foot hits the ground right?
normaly clicking on a video with a Title and thumb nail that makes it look like an information video and Enjoying the practice round footage 😄 . this time plesently surprised
I really enjoyed this. You were clear with your thought process and showed us great examples of how it has worked for you. I often times find videos where it's almost nothing but talk and the creator does very little to showcase the skill they are explaining. Keep up the good work!
this is all great and all but where im from Oklahoma Tulsa area we have tight gaps but constant 10mph - 17mph winds typically head wind or tailwind the way they place these courses around here too so you cant really throw an under stable disc flat or its going to burn to ground to the right if anything you can throw a slightly over stable disc flat and will go slight anhyzer then flip flat then finish almost straight in a no wind situation that same disc would meat hook on you to the left
I have been practicing quite alot lately. I watch turorial videos on TH-cam. Then, go out to try out the tips. I have also taking tips from a few players on the course. I am on the local course in my town more than nearly anyone else. I managed to go from a +11 round to a personal best +4 on that course after around 50 games of 9 hole Disk Golf. I have recently been improving my 20+ foot putts. The area I have not been able to wrap my head around even after watching videos on TH-cam is my footing. I also can not manage a proper snap. Got it to work once, then could not replicate the throw. I used the Swan, Tursas, River, and Adder at first. Eventually settling on the River as my favorite with the Tursas being one stroke below the River on that course. The Tursas is better than the River for getting around trees. The Swan is not better even for putting. The Adder is just made for a higher skill player. I then ordered a special edition of The River and an Escape Lucid. The River special edition is clearly the better of the two disks for me. While the Escape Lucid is clearly for a player above my skill level who plays with a arc to their shots. Its distance for me is slightly above that of The River. Though, I get more accuracy and more consistant distance with The River special edition. Comparing my old beat up River to this one. Plastic had chipped off the sides and it had a thinner profile. While the special edition River has more of a dome shape to it.
I just played a course that all the openings threw the trees benefit righty side arm players I’m righty back hand and it was hard to ani every throw or even keep my disc straight I play in the desert 100 of my throws are bombers and I would hit a tree off the tee and then my up shot hit a tree too I couldn’t catch a break plus all my discs at that altitude were over stable
You can stick your arm back or extend it without getting a good coil. What I have found, and I'm still practicing, is to make sure that you're actually coiling properly. Then you don't have to think about trying to land with your foot square or closed. If your foot lands open you know you didn't coil enough or time it right and your head and shoulders are probably facing toward the target too early, which is what I think most people are trying to do subconsciously, is see where they're throwing early when trying to hit a gap.
Bro no shit I use to follow you for clash royal decks and strategies WAYYYYYYYYY back like 2016/2017 this crazy thanks for the tips gonna apply it next day out on the course
Isn’t a natural release with good form supposed to release around the 10 o clock point anyway when throwing back handed throw? Yeah I started placing my planter foot more left and my release is better and arm doesn’t extend out to like 12 o clock and end up going more right
Great vid Molt. I hope you do more vids like this. As some one who hasn't fully developed the "perfect" form distance is my biggest issue for full powered shots. This gives me some good things to try and think about. Got to be honest, your usual 9 hole play through vids are getting a bit stale for me.
Always very interesting clothing picks. Does your wife know that you go out dressed like that? Clothing aside, ;) it was a great video. I should be looking to fix some of these things myself.
My understanding is that more speed equals turn and more spin equals more stability. Those two forces work "against" each other to keep the disc in flight. Too much speed and not enough spin? Turn and burn. Too much spin, not enough speed? Hyzer dumps. More spin isn't making your disc turn right, the speed is. The increased spin is actually keeping your disc in the air as it turns and keeping it from rolling over.
Thank you sir this is THEEE video that blasted me off into the fuckin exosphere . I've always known that my throws were perfect(after I learned the form "x step" this actually gets me where I'm wanting to go aim-wise THANK you. I can now snap the disc....still feels soo weird to aim with my back side of my shoulder even though physically it's the path of least resistance ...now you've taken my game from my physically moving the disc around me to physics slingshotting the disc with me i combined your video with Sling Shot Disc golf and your guys videos unlocked my game to

You played it as a par tree, understandable.
Excellent video!
Already implementing the strategies in my game I'm a decent golfer but man I'm inconsistent hitting lines.

"Step to 10:00 and throw to 12:00"
That's a nice new bench at angry, thanks Scott
Oh yea! They are solid! I saw them install them haha
Outstanding video. The elbow thing is a great mental cue that I'll be implementing immediately.
Awesome! Hope it helps!
awesome once again
Great focus video. Thank you
Gonna try this pull the elbow "in" approach 💪 sounds like genius que bro! my brain when you said that 🤯
This was great! Thanks!
Dude I love this video!! Well done sir! Well done!
I agree. We go through lots of seasons in all areas of progression for any sport 👍🏻
Just gotta push through, be positive, and remember your goals ahead 😃
Thanks for the tips. Been struggling to consistently hit gaps.
Really appreciate this vid, thank you.
Let's go! Gaps are a pain. But Woods golf is the best.
I watch you on snap! I also play disc golf.... thanks for all you videos!
really enjoyed this. good information
Ive been working on the plant foot and the arm extension myself. It feels really good when i do those things correctly and alot less body strain because im not over exerting myself to get the same results. Great video
That’s Awesome! Not over exerting is super important
This is what I need to do. And quit playing rounds and only do
Field work for a while. You’re supposed to release as your plant foot hits the ground right?
@@drewg3087 the plant foot hitting the ground is the trigger to start the pull through and coil.
Super helpful! I tend to open my feet I need to work on that

Joplin MO Area has great courses and is just depending on the day when it comes to wind

Great stuff
Great video!
Exact same problem with the plant foot that l struggle with.

Can you tell me where you found the knee length tights?
Great 👍
Nice shirt!
So if you ever play Boyd Hill in rock hill can you please video hole 6. With the two double tree mando x 2 I can figure it out.
Just got done playing in Charlotte so I’m glad you’re at angry 😂
Bro no shit I use to follow you for clash royal decks and strategies WAYYYYYYYYY back like 2016/2017 this crazy thanks for the tips gonna apply it next day out on the course
What discs are you using?
Isn’t a natural release with good form supposed to release around the 10 o clock point anyway when throwing back handed throw? Yeah I started placing my planter foot more left and my release is better and arm doesn’t extend out to like 12 o clock and end up going more right
Those were some things a little different that might help me. I enjoyed the video.
What is molt doin here

I want to see you and Clyde Carrick rock a doubles wearing ARDG shirts!
I’ve started to notice how so many pros step way off their line like you said. It almost like they are aiming for an intentional grip lock.
Dude.... Never realized you was a gamer, do ya stream on Twitch?
TH-cam MOLT
In theory if you are releasing around 10 o'clock it will go straight :)
Easiest way to say it "Step to 10:00 and throw to 12:00"
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Always very interesting clothing picks. Does your wife know that you go out dressed like that?
Clothing aside, ;) it was a great video. I should be looking to fix some of these things myself.
Lol I wear whatever I want to and what’s comfortable. Just having fun
Hmmmm... I wish I watched this before I played for 8 hours this weekend trying to figure out why I was pulling everything to the right 😂
I wish I had his length.
I believe parallels lines are better

Wait… you’re not the Molt from clash Royale are you???
just stick your arms straight out to get your six feet measurement ;-)
You're only 6ft tall?
Whose legs did you steel? It looks like your body is rejecting them.
