I have almost the same model - 2014 Impreza 2.0i Touring Package, 5-spd manual - and never had a single issue with it in 6 years and 87 000 km (no idea how much is that in miles).
All I do on it for maintenance is oil changes every 8-9 thousand km.
Highly recommend this ride as a daily drive.

good video, ive got a 2016 base sedan but had to make sure I got a manual.. boo CVT. Nice thing about the 'tow hitch plug'- you can replace it with a WRX 'vent' plug ,or a 3rd brake light. ... and don't forget to remove the pzev charcoal screen from your intake box! :) and get some red bulbs for your rear turn signals, looks way better without the yellow
Thanks for the ideas, maybe we will use them on upcoming videos! I would love to somehow do a manual swap transmission and for the charcoal filter, I heard that can void the warranty. Stay tuned!

Imprezas (other than WRX/STI) do not come with 6-speed manual, only 5-speed.

@@felusion1085 oh, ok, I didn't realize you are from Australia. I guess tech specs were different for Australian market. 6-speed manual is nice.
I'm from Canada, and Impreza 2.0i was only available with 5-speed manual or CVT here.

I have this car as a CVT and it does shift up for you if you pretty much red-line it. You can also stop it from flat lining if you down shift while still in auto mode. I have also taken it rallying on dirt roads and it can slide very well with traction control off. Overall very fun first car for me 👍

I believe SRF stands for 'Steering Responsive Fog lights', so your fog lights will turn when you're turning a corner.
You're right! I think one side of the fog lights turn off completely when you turn the opposite way
No it’s “steering responsive headlights” not fog lights so when you turn the lights turn so you can see better

I have this exact car with about 61k miles on it. Its an excellent commuter car and I recommend it to anyone who just needs an affordable vehicle. Don't let the 0-60 speed deter you... It isn't noticable unless you're used to driving race cars. Also the car rides smooth at higher speeds and accelerates well at highway speeds once youre already at a higher speed and need to pass someone. Also, keep in mind the CVT gets 36 MPG highway and it's awesome. I spend around $20 - $40 on gas a week if that.

I was just watching this bc I wanted to know if I should put a nameless on my 2019 sport and I never thought that I would recognize the area you guys are driving in... I live like a mile and a half from you XD.... 66 is a great road to test out speed and handling when no one is on, mainly at night, I have taken my FC, bugeye, and IMP sport out there many times.
Definitely worth the sound, check out our nameless exhaust video! It's funny the small world we live in huh? Drive safe out there, lots of deer!
