the hatch looks nicer imo, everyone that says its rubbish purely based on the CVT and engine probably havent even driven it, compared to the Mazda 3 id say it rides better and feels alot more premium due to the reductions in NVH qualities. id go so far as to say around town this is probably the best in its segment at its pricepoint. according to my wifes impreza her average speed is 39kph, its definitely a "momentum car" and going by the old saying its more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow applies here.

The hatch is shorter than the sedan by 5 inches not the other way around like you point out. All other dimensions are the same
