    Its hard work and requires patience. It’s preferable to install the fog lamps using wire harness. Its safe, comes with relay, fuse and flasher. No cutting or joints in wires are required. Costs just around 1k-1.5k but worth the price for safety of the electrical system.

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it is.. but then what else is there to do in life 😅.
      Also from a safety perspective there are joints or cuts to the OE harness..it's all socket based connection in my version.

    Disclaimer: Before anyone starts debating on the placement of the aux lights, let me clarify upfront that as per CMVR any kind of modifications to functional components is not allowed. So this installation in the first place is a deviation from the rules.

    HelloRaj, Thanks for the video. However, I was confused about using a relay for this purpose.
    What's the difference between splitting the wires and using a relay? Could you clarify that one for me? TIA

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The relay was used just to save the switch from burning off with the high wattage of the LEDs. And technically that's why relays are used when additional load is used in the system to save the switch and related wiring harness from over heating and melting.

    Very well explained,
    Q1. Which relay (4pin 40/ 5pin 40/any other)should I used to install 60+60 watt fog lights 12v,for classic 350?
    Q2,how much amp fuse should I use for the same?
    Thanx buddy.

    • @sheikh205
      @sheikh205 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      4 pin Relay is enough ,
      For choosing relay amp :
      12v - 40ah = 480w which means
      4pin 40 ah relay you can use up to 480W lights
      4 pin 30 ah = up to 360w you can use
      4 pin 20 ah is perfect relay for 60+60 watt light , but you can use 30,40 also no issues

    • @sheikh205
      @sheikh205 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fuse you can use 10ah

    • @sheikh205
      @sheikh205 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can use 5 pin relay too , if 4 pin relay not available,
      Just leave pin no 87a if you use 5 pin relay
      87a = NC (normally closed circuit)

      Hey buddy, in the OE socket only 1 leg has positive voltage. Check the power at the red wire with a continuity tester. And you will have to take negative power from any metal nut bolt as body ground, only then the light will start.

      Use a 2.8 mm 2 pin socket available in spare parts shops and plug it in the OE socket like I have shown in the video. Your positive connection will come from this socket and negative can be body earth.

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, these were just discovered recently. But if one wants to have a relay circuit, these sockets cannot be used. The Tata batteries are already showing its worth (being worthless) and hence without relay it will be load on the harness and battery.

      Hi Sachin, if you buy from Amazon, AllExtreme sends anything that's available at disposal. I read many reviews and saw pics of lights sent by them on Amazon and found there was no uniformity in which light they are sending (anyways all are Chinese).
      I suggest, hunt for these lights in local market as you can test and buy and also costs cheaper than online. I got this for 1600 a pair from a local shop.

    Have a suggestion here. In the wiring diagram there's error. The extra plug / adapter given inside HL cup is male and it's not female as you mentioned in diagram. I have used same 4pin relay in my 4 bikes for horn & aux light purpose. There's one more mistake in wiring. You have taken only positive from headlight socket and - ve from battery. Grounded aux light -ve. Which will waste too much current from battery. If you have taken -ve from HL socket then it's fine. Also taking+ve from main wiring harness will take too much payload from battery. Already this bike has huge negative point is very small battery. It's just 6amps. 150cc Unicorn had 7lb battery. With 6lb battery you should have taken both + & - from HL socket & putting on 86 & 85 in the relay. Very simple the both input for 85 & 86 should be main source or component wire but not one from direct battery. By going in your style diagram you may see many side effects such battery drain issues, dull pick-up in high payload or in 2nd & 3rd gears. For accessories taking -ve ground in big mistake in bike which has latest tech CDI coil unit. I wouldn't recommend your diagram even if the cb350 had 9LB or 9amps battery. Cheers 👍.

    • @RajkaGarage
      @RajkaGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for pointing out the 'Typo' . Somehow inspite of calling out as female pin in the video, somehow made this typo in the diagram.
      Also the only short cut as per my experience I took was the main grounding which I directly took from the battery to complete the relay circuit. This also keeping in mind the overall distance between the various components, which is hardly anything. As you may know the primary role of the relay is reducing the load from the main aux switch and tranfer that on the relay which works as a mechanical switch on the power flow from battery to the load, and which is what my circuit does, including the direct grounding of aux lights. And no, I don't see any drop in power in any gears(being a Mechanic such an observation does not go unnoticed for me) or any load on the battery as you must have seen in the idling test with all components on. Yes, I do agree that the battery is underpowered, but we will have to live with it before any upgrade replacement within permissible limits.
      Cheers 🤘
