- Here is the 1st Honda S2000 powered by a Tesla Motor & still using the S2000 Subframe! This was built by Ryan at @rywire & it is so insane! Watch and learn about how he built it using Tesla Motor and Chevy Volt batteries. This should have a range of about 150 miles and over 600 hp.

What??? Why would you take a step backwards and build a hybrid? Makes 0 sense to me, all electric is the only way to go.
I want to convert a Acura RSX to electric but I was going to use a Nissan Leaf drive train (because I want to keep it FWD). Plus the RSXs trunk space is enormous for what it is (they're basically mini trucks lol). This thing is so badass! Definitely on another level from anything I could ever do lol.

Even if Honda makes the next S2000 an electric sports car, I would still be happy because it's still a RWD sports car that still has the Honda spirit!
But then it would be weird because you can't hear the high revving VTEC engine. The S series was all high revving coupes.

This basically defeats the whole point of the s2k. Why would you remove the super high revving engine that made it famous? I get that EVs are the future but don’t ruin it for the true enthusiasts by EV swapping archetypal driver’s cars.
This is great. I'm gonna be starting my own conversion soon. I'm gonna use a honda. I'm not sure what model yet but I'm gonna do one. If Elon can sell $100K cars with defects, then I can build my own electric car.

Power in lbft😅🤦♂️ What scare me when I see people doing this is how the don’t know anythkgn about saftey… I don’t think he knows anything about required creepage distances and airgaps required for his vomtage level , pollution grades, materials and so on… I do this professionally at a tier 1 supplier for the oems and sometimes when I see what people are doing Im wodndering how they are still alive
S2000 was ruined!! Rather have my f20 vtec engine. I don't care if gas is $4.65 91 gallon

Hondapro Jason- I have a question- I have a 2013 accord coupe V6 EXL and at 59210 the motor started to knock, I’ve always taken care of my car through Honda , I’ve had Over 22 oil changes always used mobile 1 synthetic never raced the car etc my question is -Is the VCM a problem in this year car ? If yes can I delete the vcm ? Thankfully the engine was replaced at Honda and cost only 200 bucks , the engine only has 28,818 miles and since it was sitting I had them lub the engine at install and since the engine was out and sat for 3-4 years I had them do timing belt , water pump , all the seals , all the fluids and spark plugs ( engine blowing actually saved me money because it was time to do all those items anyways and it only cost me about 750 bucks for everything. I just want to keep the car especially with the low mileage I feel like I have a new car but I’m worried that I’ll be going through the same things in a few years .. Also would it be smart to change oil from mobile 1 to AMSOIL ? Thank you
Full synthic 15w30 is perfect for that engine 0w30 is only good for the break in period of the engine. Change it every 15k miles together with oil,petrol and airfilter.
Ruined a perfectly good car and turned it into electrical junk.

Amazing ! I wanna do my EG hatch, but im not sure where to start on fitment I lack experience in that department. I'm curious why didn't Ryan keep the S2000 Transmission or at least put a joystick selector , knobs look weird to me .
The selector knob looks and feels great in person

But auto is the future of today and tomorrow
5 speed is not necessary for an electric motor, that’s why Tesla transmissions only have one gear.

Wow, my wife's s2k is close to stock and she said our tesla will never be equal to the experience s2k gives. I have an evo9 and feels the same way. Great project tho.
