I think so too, id like to hear it. It has Eru style forward pinna and then a steady slope down. With a nice bass shelf too. I think it should be very stagey but hey, need to listen first.
I own this IEM and LOVE it! Has a crazy 3D-like presentation because of the bone conductor. I would like to see this idea on more designs [better drivers and/or different combinations of driver tech] because what it does is super unique. Closest experience to over-ear headphones I have had with an IEM. Highly recc'd!

You are correct. It is a very unique set and surprised more people didn't talk about it. Kinda expensive maybe. They are hashing out the final details on Winter Ultra so we'll see how they improved it soon.
@@PaulWasabii I have heard about it and can't wait. Even if it's just a re-tune. I will probably have to check that one out as well just for comparison sake. And I agree that I am surprised that more reviewers didn't check this one out.
I really like the Winter. It has the most effective bone conduction I've heard. I was listening to Knives by Bullet For My Valentine and the cymbal crashes in the right channel completely disappeared if I moved the BC port away from my ear. Was wild to hear.
100% agree. It says it will transmit through air but that distance was very small as I also heard it drop away. I am not sure most people either got the fit or understood what was happening judging by some of the reviews at the time.
Right, xbass is super helpful although I didn't use it on Go Blu, too much bass. I think Blu is a bit warmer than Go Bar and ended up fine for me without xbass. Right idea though.
Spot on!! I have bqeyz autumn, same shell as this winter and everything you said about the fit is spot on.l don't use it that much, partly due to the fit.The nozzle should be longer or they should reduce the wing for deeper fit..I use the autumn cable on Tripowin mele and the mele sounds exactly the same as autumn for £35.So yes,l think bqeyz price is a bit expensive for what it does.Thank you.
I understood why the shell is the way it is for Winter, but yeah, it is simply not going to work for everyone. And on Winter, it is crucial to get the fit right so I did harp on it a bit, but as you said, it is an expensive set.
Hello Paul, today Kiwi Ears released the Quintet a quadbrid with a piezo bone conduction driver in the mix, also bqeyz winter ultra have been released recently, can we hope for a future video review comparing these, I would love to hear your opinions how would then compare against each other. Have a good one, stay safe. Peace.
I have Quintet, just arrived today. Honestly I asked about reviewing Winter and got a no. There has not been many reviews of Ultra which I usually take it to mean there is a reason. Maybe they are focused on a different region with reviews or something else. Winter is an amazing set and I was super excited but yeah, the lack of reviews doesn't give me confidence.
Thank you for taking time and answering. There is indeed not much around Winter Ultra indeed, strange indeed. Winter Og continues to be interesting though, looking forward to the Quintet review!
That is tough, Winter is a special set. There is one neutral bright legendary set HZSOUND HeartMirror but not sure its still available. Now you need to buy their Zero version and remove the foam. Simgot EA500 is also along the lines of neutral bright and fantastic set.
you mention fit will make or break the bone conduction effect do you feel BC in general is something worthwhile or is it just a gimmick ? why is it so rarely used ?
I wouldn't say its a gimmick, but yeah its almost binary. For some people it is noticeable as they have great fit, for others they will be scratching their head wondering why they don't hear anything different. UM Mest 1 was like that for me. I couldn't quite pin it down and I think they really improved it since then, making it more obvious. I don't seek it out but I also don't think it is a gimmick..except on that old CVJ set. Like anything else, it has been refined over time
Great review. This set is very interesting.

The technical chops on this one sound strong even if the tunning is not to my preference! Great vid mate!
That is true. I wish they would refine the tuning like they do with the driver performance.
@@PaulWasabii it's ok I guess, we'll just wait for Frozen 2.
I think so the winter with the €300 ifi go bar dongle + xbass will be really good to listen too.

what a great iem set at an unheard of price.
I gotta try a BC set at some point

Though the tuning isnt for me, cant deny that's one sleek design iem
Can you recommend me a budget natural bright this BQEYZ Winter? I really love this stage and natural sound! I want more budget smaller body, thanks
