    I have a 2008, with 24k miles on it, it's 6 yrs old, no problems at all, Just love it, quiet, looks like new, not one scratch on it. Lots of power, an honest 38 m.p.g on the hwy, pretty good for this size of a car, small trunk, but it's o.k. as i have a 2012 sienna XLE if i need to carry something large. Just a great, quiet, smooth riding car.
    Mine was made in japan, so far i can't find anything wrong with it. Very glad i bought it. I had a recall, to cut off some of the accelerator, that's it.

    I have a 2008 Camry Hybrid.. It's a lexus for the price of a toyota. In 5 years.. Not 1 single issue... and none expected. This is the best car I have ever owned.

    Yeah I just paid 18k for mine, and its completely optioned out! I was chatting to a toyota big wig a while ago about the price of them and he was saying they are still in that funny place where they are so new that people dont know how much confidence they should have in them as a second hand vehicle, as they get more common and a bit older the prices will start rising with public confidence (same trends were seen with the prius when they first hit the second hand markets)

    i have a 2008 camry hybrid, NOT one problem with it at all. love it, BUT i was thinking of replacing the small battery (12 volt) as it's 5 yrs old now, Wow was i surprized at the cost--$436.00 +tax-at the dealers, 5hundred for a battery-holy shi-----
    this is easier to maintain than a regular camry, per consumer repts, AND more reliable

      should only be $120 or so, easy to do yourself also.

    I never liked this generation of this car, but love the new 2015 model. Planning to buy one hopefully in the next year or two. I currently drive a 2007 Nissan Altima which is a stylish & fun car but has had some problems. I previously drove a 2006 Corolla for 5 1/2 years without a single problem. Can't wait to go back to Toyota.

    @chap8938,
    The Camry we have is a carbon copy of the American Camry - except our's are made in Australia!

  • @dvcelica
    @dvcelica 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not true...Here In Australia hybrids are commenly used as taxis...the miles a taxi drives are certainly enough to justify the price of the hybrid. Hell, I just purchased a second hand hybrid for my next taxi...the savings on petrol alone are making my vehicle repayments! re: the batteries...I know of MANY hybrid prius and camrys that have done over 700,000 kms (more than most vehicles travel in 2 lifetimes) and are still operating on a very healthy battery pack.

    Good thing they warrent them for 8 years than isnt it? alot longer than I'll have the car for. Even that said, A brand new battery pack is only $2000 AU, a price thats only going to reduce in the future. If you can find me a car that is over 8 years old and hasnt had 2k spent on maintenance, your doing pretty well. Meanwhile there are thousands of documented cases of even 10 year old prius with 600,000 miles still on the original battery pack thats still performing at 98% of original performace.

    Camry Hybrids need not to worry about any American Hybrid, shit they cant even make a half decent gasoline car let alone Hybrid. 100K and their cars are done with lololol Camry hands down !

    Unless......... you're buying a used one for for about 9 to 10k :D Otherwise, yeah. They're a bit of a rip. I think most people view it as instant pocket savings for a much weaker end profit.

    I love the patriotism talk. Any idea where your money for "American" products will end up anyway? If I'm going to spend my money, might as well to buy something of quality. A friend of mine just started hating GM cars after his 10th issue in 10 months. Whereas my Toyota Echo, has been issue free (other than regular maintenance and accident repairs for when I was rearended) for 3.5 years. Go Toyota.

    Your ignorance is also shot to pieces on the fact that toyota provides an EIGHT YEAR warrenty on all parts of the hybrid system too. So you can forget about your "IF the hybrid system lasts and expensive costs rar rar rar" bullshit. To be honest you just sound angry that you couldnt afford the hybrid over the LE and now your making nonsensical untruths to make yourself feel better. If you can afford the hybrid..buy it every time. more torque, more economy, more options, better car.
