Alien abduction was so big during this time that they did an alien abduction episode on Star Trek! The show all about meeting aliens and offering them tea and replicated chocolate!

I remember watching the Ode to Spock performance when I went to highschool. We had to do our own poem for homework, so I basically stole the poem and made it to be about a class mate with some minor adjustments. My teacher had a blast.
If you watch Star Trek Discovery, for a few seasons they had bald Klingons, but they recon it to indicate the Klingons shaved their hair when they are at war, of something like that. Any kudos for the Predator impersonation.
they are still tired because you dont really sleep when you get knocked out by drugs. when you sleep you cycle through different sleep phases and you need all of them. you dont do that when you get drugged
This solar baby is less egregious to me because it was a pocket dimension rather than another god-like alien. They should have just not used the stupid orb trope yet again.
I have to say as a kid I found this episode surprisingly creepy. Mind you it fit in well with X-files and other shows at the time. And looking back plot wise this feels more like a season 2 episode or something.
oh yeah.. subspace does not seem to be an empty thing. just like warp drives... those 2 things combined and the Federation is slowly ripping apart the galaxy.
Theres some stuff in this episode I definitely didn't like. Like they went down a cerebral path in a lot of episodes that this sort of feels like. But aside from that I really enjoyed the mystery of this, and when they are all recreating the chair in the holodeck was pretty cool and creepy. But as with tv it was sort of not always well done but not terrible for star trek
