I was a dj in the 80's in NY. I only had 1200's. I gave it up in the 90's when I started a family. Always thought I would get gear again. Now I'm 54 and I have had the itch do it again. Not crazy about the plastic controllers but I like the compact design. This controller has everything I'm looking for. I really should wait because the 1st version of any new model always is the test case for the version that they really want to bring out. It looks like there's enough there to satisfy me. I'm in. And finally that Mix was Bananas! Thank you.

Numark just had poor marketing skills that's why they didn't do well with their controllers. The Range 12 and now 1 are direct upgrades or copies of ns7 and v7

Awesome video!!! I'm curious... When beat juggling, are you watching the screen or are you memorizing the position of the slip mat when using this controller?
Yeah feels great Mike, took a few minutes to adjust to the smaller platters as I’ve been using the RANE Twelve and standard turntables a lot recently, but once I was locked in it was plain sailing. 👍
What happens when you hook up a DDJ-SP1 or a DDJ-XP2? So many videos online with this controller and I’m surprised no one has tried this out. Would love to have separate controller for the FX’s.
Can someone please explain to me why they would buy this controller when the Numark NS7ii does the same thing besides the obvious upgrades on the Rane One for half of the price?

@@digitaldjtips Thank you for answering, very kind. Good enough for me, I like to use Rane's soundcard for rendering music productions. Another question if I may please: Could I use the Rane One as main Serato device and hook up my Rane Sixty-One for additional midi mapping? Like, having a fretless fader in the Rane Sixty-One using Serato Pitch 'N Time. If so, is it possible to midi-map multiple knobs to the same function like the crossfader on both the Rane One and Sixty-One? Quite curious about this...
Any other cheaper recommendations for controllers with motorized platters? Want to really start learning to scratch/beat juggle and my DDJ-400 is relatively hard to progress on in some aspects without spinning platters, even when i make them
@@digitaldjtips sure simpler scratches like baby scratching I can do no problem. Scratches that involve closing the fader (transforms, chirps, even stabs) are harder for me to scratch without having a moving marker to track with my eyes since I don’t use the screen to look at the sample. Trying to learn the old school way. I know that I’ll obviously get better with practice, already have, but I think having a moving platter to trace would help with that hand eye coordination piece and muscle memory. Of course that’s just one aspect I’m considering, wouldn’t buy this solely for scratching. It looks like a great upgrade all around. Does it work with rekordbox?
