    I recommend trying out the Banks Pedal Monster because the Banks Pedal Monster is the only throttle booster that turns off when you put the vehicle in reverse which is A much safer option. It also gets its power from the OBD port so you will never get dead pedal because if it were to ever malfunction it automatically turns off and goes back to stock.

    Hey Connor, I have watched several other U Tubers videos who have installed a Pedal Commander in their 4Runners and Tacoma’s. Based on their and your comments, I think I will just save my money for a supercharger and get some “Real” performance gains for my 2022 4Runner. Good install video, keep up the great work !!

      Just get an ecu flash, you’ll actually get performance gains and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

      Unfortunately there’s no supercharger for anything after 2019. I’ve been chomping at the bit. Reached out to Magnuson and ProCharger. Guess there’s an issue getting into Toyota’s new CPU

      @@AlexA-ki9td Same here on my '20 TRD ORP chomping gnawing and craving a supercharger! Both Mag and Pro techs I talked to verified that they are actively working on it. However the new ECU (2020+) is proving to be difficult to "crack" and map due to the new software changes Toyota made since they no longer offer a Factory Supercharger option (which was a Magnuson back in the day anyway just saying).

    Nice review of the product. I just got my 2022 4Runner. This is my first 4Runner and I agree on having to really press the accelerator down to make it go. This would be nice to have. I just have so many other things I want to do.

    Awesome review Sir! Agree, a Pedal Commander will NOT create more horsepower or make the 4Runner "faster". Physics wins because it is a 6000# beautiful capable solid frame on construction powered by 270hp. Now there are some options that help.....
    Ordered my 2020 TRD ORP with the full TRD Performance package, and the PRO exhaust DOES make a difference from the stock cat-back.
    A bit "grumbling" sounding but improved performance is noticeable over stock.
    Absolutely recommend the P/C short term as it gives the driver more finesse and throttle response. With that being said, you still gotta go basic and build it out.
    CAI, full exhaust, and hell yes.......a Supercharger.
    Hopefully Magnuson or ProCharger can crack the ECU soon. The supercharger hardware
    (bolt on stuff) is not the issue. Software and tune is the problem right now.
    As another commenter mentioned, flash the ECU.....well not recommended in my opinion.
    I'm waiting on Magnuson and already got my setup "basics" taken care of.
    CBR RR Life.....Drop a Gear and Disappear!

    Be sure you put that on your new 4 runner so us guys here at toyota can void any and all warranty issues you have in the future......You might want to read what kind of any little thing or mod you install makes it so we no longer have to pay for any warrant issue you have

      Lol I work at Toyota service department. The idea that we would want to void any warranties when that is timely consistent money from Toyota is hilarious. Without warranty work our service department would be out of business. Our warranty time rate is lower than customer pay and the markup in parts is lower as well but think of it as faster nickels over slower dimes. Customers will always get warranty covered work done and postpone anything out of pocket. Why would we want to threaten that cash cow? Any given day our service schedule is majority warranty work.

    • @andywiggens1069
      @andywiggens1069 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jmarxful I think it is sad when someone has to lie about where they work in order to push an after market part. Instead of listening to someone lying about their employment just call Toyota yourself and ask them if you fucked with your ECU would that void your warranty. Warranty work is a lose, lose gig for any dealership and they frown on it. Call backs aren't green backs.

      I love it to be honest, I came from an Audi S5 which obviously has a lot better throttle response time so I was used to not having any lag when I want to punch on it. It is completely up to you whether or not you want to buy it and if that bothers you how laggy/slow it is

    • @Connortaustin
      @Connortaustin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will not. Just believe if you take it in for service and you are still under warranty then you want to disconnect it. Could be wrong about that but I believe I saw it somewhere

    • @davec8894
      @davec8894 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Will not affect your warranty, engine, or anything interior wise, because it does not change any factory parameters in the ECU. Been running Power Commanders (same concept) on my bikes for years. Simply an electronic module interface to make the Factory ECU believe (translate) what you want it to believe. Now if you toss on a supercharger welllllllll.........haha!

      @@Connortaustin I said the same thing for 8 mos and my friend had warned me when he saw it in my truck 2 weeks ago. Sunday taking off at a stop light I lost power in the gas pedal and limped over to the curb. Restarted it and drove home. Removed it and removed the negative terminal on the battery. That could happen on the freeway and could be catastrophic.
